"How dare a servant try to enter this place!"

A young man in light blue robes haughtily said as the disguised Reenste is about to enter the gates. The people looked over and saw the familiar self-important kid. They just sighed and continue on their way. Seemingly already accustomed to this kind of behavior. Which didn't go unnoticed to Reenste's eyes.

"There's no such law forbidding me to enter the place, right? Plus if I do dare, so what?" Reenste said straight with "his" innocent face. The people who heard what Reenste said smiled and laughed. They were amused that someone talked back to the youngster. The young man in light blue robes flushed red from embarra.s.sment, then he glared at Reenste.

"I'm a student in this Academy. It will be a nuisance for me to see a servant going in and out to this place. It'll affect my grades." The young man said in tone of self righteous. Hue slightly frowned from displeasure, but just silently stood still and looked at Reenste.

Reenste placed her hand in her chin and seemingly thinking as he looked at the Young Man. Everyone was waiting for "his" response.

"Then I don't really care. It's your fault getting distracted by us servants. I don't know your deal, young master. If you have problem against servants who's either being ordered by their master to borrow books here or studying for their own expense. Either don't mind them or leave the academy. I may be a servant, but I know for a fact that the Emperor supported the establishment of this Academy to grant access on knowledge for everyone in the Empire of Aether to use. Does the young master doesn't know this fact? Despite being a scholar?" Reenste's voice was soft and calm but every word she said was sharp that wounds the young man's pride. Everyone who was witnessing the scene was quiet and then full of praises. The young servant they're seeing indeed have a point. The Young man in blue robes, named Phine Icrita, became pale as he saw the gla.s.ses and the smile of the man. Phine gave his respect by bowing then leaving immediately as he grit his teeth engraving the face of the young "servant" who embarra.s.sed him on public.

Reenste just sigh from the relief that the annoying kid talking to him have then left. But then there's this man who stepped forward. Reenste then smiled as he did save her from the further trouble.

"Thank you for saving me from that... troublesome fellow." Reenste paused to some part of her sentence to phrase her sentence better than calling Phine Icrita a annoying kid. The man in gla.s.ses looked at how the disguised Reenste smiled and was a bit doubtful if the person in front of him is really a servant boy. Then he saw Hue at the back just looking at them. He noticed the stature and his demeanor. He then concluded that this young lad he's facing might be a young master of some family that is in disguised.

"It's nothing. I'm just really impressed on how well spoken you are. I'm Easton, a professor in the Academy." Easton said and reached out his hand.

"Wow. Your master sure are borrowing a lot." I looked at Sir Easton. I'm still kind of bothered how he's like really friendly and all. But the process of me being here went smoothly.Also he didn't press me on telling what my name is because I really couldn't lie outright when he's that friendly.

"Ah yes... My Master likes to read since there's not much to do. " I said as the librarian records the book that I borrowed out. It's in his name that I'm borrowing this since I refuse to say my name and even my non-existing master. He was kind enough to trust me that I'll return this book on time. Like he's really kind that it's borderline gamble and blind trust. I feel bad that way though. Even though I'm returning it as soon as I'm done reading it. So I offered to treat him with something to eat.

"As for lunch, do you have some place in your mind?" I asked then the book was wrapped in a clothe. Hue just naturally helped me out in carrying. So is Sir Easton. I must say I'm quite embara.s.sed for Sir Easton as I am currently disguised as a servant.

"Ah yes! There's this tavern that my friend and I always go to drink. Their foods there are also good as much as the alcohol served." Alcohol? Is he saying he wants to drink too?

"Okay. Then let's go there now?" I said as we went out the gates. I was rus.h.i.+ng because it took me almost two hours browsing in the library. To think that it's just a public library with general knowledge books but there's still a lot to read through. For that It's almost 4PM now that we're going out to have food.

I looked at Hue who just smiled then looked around the market. He joins our conversation time to time but mostly he's just really silent then accompanying me. Like he's some guard or whatever.

"There's the tavern. It seems that people are slowly coming by. Let's have go have a sit now then." Sir Easton said then talked to one of the waiter which then lead us to the second floor. I sigh, I remembered my three lady friends as this was all so similar in kind of way. Plus the fact the Resitaire resembles Easton in some ways, except how chatty he is of course.

"Oh! You guys are here!" Sir Easton suddenly said as he saw two guys sitting in a table near the windows. Then the two guys looked at Sir Easton then me. Oh. They look familiar.

I just silently drink some wine as I looked at the people whom I'm sitting with.

"Hey! Hue! Don't be so shy. Eat and drink more." Sir Ryker said to me and gave me more wine in my cup. I just laughed and drank the wine as soon as it was poured.

"Man! Who knew you saved my friend earlier before going to the academy! You're really something, Rin!" Sir Easton said as he drinks more. I looked at Lady Reenste just laughing then drank her seventh cup of wine.

Even I was bewildered that the people Lady Reenste met was all Young Master from the very powerful clans. Sir Easton from Herschel Clan. Sir Ryker from Starke Clan. Then the young Master of the Green Clan.

"Heeeyy... You're really done great at taking care of that poison, Rin! I really doubt you're just a servant." Sir Julien said as he place his cup to the table then stared at Lady Reenste.

We've been here for an hour and they already have like 9 cups of alcohol so they're a bit drunk now. Although surprisingly Lady Reenste is handling her alcohol better than this three young masters.

"Yeah! I mean. No ordinary servant could just push me down to sit. Even If I was weakened earlier due to being poisoned, you still done something really surprising." Now Sir Ryker stared at Lady Reenste. The Lady just smiled then laughed. I on the hand just took some pork and ate it.

"Also, you're so eloquently spoken and really smart. Now I'm sure you're a young master from a family in disguise!" I almost spat out the meat I'm chewing. That was so funny to be mentioned. I looked at Lady Reenste who was sweating a bit, but just drank her eight cup of wine. Now she's a bit flushed after that drink.

"You know what! I have a little sister. She's still at your age, but maybe in a year or two you can marry her! She's really great. She's elegant and smart!" Sir Easton said with s.h.i.+ning eyes as if he just thought of a really great idea.

"If that's the case, then you can marry my little sister too! She's soft spoken, sweet, ans great at medicine! You can teach each other about medicine and bond more!" Sir Julien said then stood up to reach Lady Reenste's hand, but failed as he is now off balance from being drunk.

"Haha! Then you should choose my sister. She'll be a really unique wife. She's strong, she can protect herself so she won't be a trouble! Although she seems rough, but she's really funny and easily cries from really weird things!" Sir Ryker said and happily laughed as she mentioned her sister. I looked at Lady Reenste. From a dumbstruck expression, her face became red then laughed out loud.

"You guys..." She tried to speak but then laughed. The three guys looked at each others then laughed with Lady Reenste.

"I was offered like this way too. I find it funny. I appreciate it don't worry. I'll keep that words in mind." Lady Reenste said and laughed full of happiness. I just smiled at the sight. Lady Reenste despite in disguise looked really great.

Maybe that's why this three guys are now dazed looking at the Lady.

"Hey! Let's just drink!" I said and offered them more booze. Let's just get this over with. Lady Reenste seems to be going over her tolerance.

Lady Reenste gave me her pouch to pay up for the foods and drinks, but I just hold it off and used the money given to me by the Lord to use in cases like this. We left the tavern where the three young master was taken by their servants. They were knocked down by drinking too much. While Lady Reenste is still awake but not much in her calm self. She's rather talkative.

"Hey Hue." She said then poked my cheeks.

I have her in front of me on my horse. While the things she bought was carried by her horse. Then her horse lead is tied to mine so it'll follow me as we go back to the palace.

"Yes?" I answered her as she keeps on poking my face.

"You know it's me, right?" I looked at her a bit caught off guard. She looked at me straight with her serious face, although she's a bit red from her drinking too much.

"Don't lie. I'll punch you." She said threateningly and glared at me. I just laughed because I think that she's really cute... I'm dead if my Lord would hear me say that.

"Yes, Lady Reenste. I indeed know." I confessed and then just turned my attention to the way nearing the gate. The sun now is almost setting and the lamps are lit to light the way.

"Erden told you to guard me?" She asked softly. I nodded. Well, the Lord did told me to just silently observed you from a far. But I guess that's really impossible for this lady who goes out carefree.

"Why does he do things like this..." she said languidly. .

"Do you hate, my lord that much?" I can't help myself not to ask. Since she seem to refuse my lord.

"No!" Lady Reenste laughed. "More likely so I like him, more than I should." Lady Reenste said laughing.

Before the sun have set, Master Zuo's a.s.sistant have arrived the place.

"Where's Lady Reenste?" Master Zuo's a.s.sistant asked. Rory and the five children was nervous as the a.s.sistant looked at them.

"My Lady went to the market place to buy some clothes and things she wanted, Sir." Rory said in all courage he can muster.

"Alone?" The a.s.sistant said looking at the kids with sharo glint.

"No sir. With a guard with the Lady." Agni is the one who answered this time.

"Very well. Relay this message from Master Zuo." The a.s.sistant said then handed Rory an envelope.

"This... is?" Rory asked and looked at the a.s.sistant in confusion. The a.s.sistant glared at Rory which made Rory cower and step back.

"None of your business. Just tell Lady Reenste that the deadline is two weeks." The a.s.sistant said and leave the receiving area and got on a carriage.

As the kids were confused, other Lady's that are part of the Consort Selection, have received a same envelope. As they read it, they realized it's the start of the selection process and they only have two weeks to accomplish it.

Then there's Reenste who's sleeping so carefree on front where Hue balances her not to fall of the horse.
