Erika woke up wasted as morning came. She quivered as pain ran through her head.
She looked around and found herself in her room. She wondered as she remember they were out drinking till late last night.
'It must be Rina.' She thought since only Rina knew where she lives.
She then grabbed her phone, texted Rina and Andy that she can't make it to cla.s.s for that day. Then laid herself back to bed hugging her pillow and squeezed herself in it.
She now remembered last night's event.
She clearly remembered that she was not drunk yet when Andy sung that d.a.m.n song.
She could still clearly picture out how Andy looked at her. It was as if she's singing it for her.
Well, it was not the first time she'd done that to her but last night was just different.
There was something in it; in her voice, in her gaze, in her expression, in her smile, in everything.
Just what Andy's implying? She made her confused. Well, she should just be clear because to Erika, she's giving her signals and leading her on to believing something she deemed impossible.
That's why she'd drown herself last night to drink; right after that d.a.m.n song. She was feeling frustrated to Andy's action.
How can Andy just laugh with others after making her feel loved and all with that song.
Also, she was frustrated that she's not brave enough to confront the girl. That she doesn't have the courage to clarify things, that she can't do anything but gulped her drinks as she sat there until she got drank and got wasted.
"What's up?"
It was Mei on the iPad then was mirrored on the TV right across the bed. Erika called her.
"Hey, why are you still in bed?" She asked.
Erika sat while hugging her pillow.
"I'm in love."
Mei rolled her eyes.
"I already know that. What's new?"
Erika brood her shoulders.
"I think I really hit it hard this time."
"Tsk, I told you. And you look awful. Don't you know that?
"I just woke up, okay? And I'm frustrated and I hate myself."
"Why? Just confess already."
"Huh, as if it's that easy."
"I don't even know if she likes girls." Erika added.
"Then just ask her."
Erika sneered. "As if I could do that."
"Want me to help?" Mei offered while grinning.
Erika knew her cousin, especially that grin.
"No thanks. You'll just do something funny."
"You know I work that way." Mei was laughing.
"Right I'm in Capital City now." Mei continued.
"What? And you did not tell me?"
"Nah, I'm in the airport by now specifically. Bound home."
"What?" Erika seems not to follow her cousin.
Mei shrugged. "Well, I just had a dinner date last night here in Capital City and now I'm waiting for my flight back home."
Erika's mouth fell open and her brow lifted. She can't still follow her cousin.
"It's like this okay? I had this appointment of a dinner date with some SON OF SOMEONE I don't even remember the name when I just met him last night. You know, Dad and the business."
"So you're saying, you travelled eight hours on the plane just for a dinner?"
Mei nodded.
"Wow, and you can't even do that for me?Since when did business means more to you than family?"
"Hey, hey, I was forced by Dad. You know him." Mei explained.
Erika pouted.
"And I already told you that I'm visiting you soon. I just have to fix some things on my end." Mei added.
Erika smiled. "Fine, make it sooner."
"Yeah, I will. I'm anxious to meet your Andy anyway."
"Hey," Erika glared.
"What? I'll help you. I've got plans already." Mei winked.
"Hey hey, What plans? I don't like how you sounded."
"Just trust me." Mei stick her tongue out.
"Hey,"
Well to Erika, she knew her cousin too well and with those grins and winks, she can partially tell that the help she's offering is going to be as mischievous as ever.
