I finish my piece of pizza before drinking my entire soda and saying "Okay, I need a shower but once I'm done, I'll meet you at the station." Binx quickly says "Ah, that won't be possible. I've warded the house so that Enzo can't summon you back to h.e.l.l but once you step out of the house... it'll be fair game."

Harris's head snaps back to me and says "You really went to h.e.l.l?" I frown at Harris before saying "Yes... I thought we just covered this. It'll take me a little longer but once I'm done I'll meet you at the police station, okay?"

Harris slowly nods his head before his eyes lock on the golden blood I'm covered in. He lifts a hand and says "Wait... so that's really Dragon blood!?" I sigh and walk away. I need a shower and fast. This stuff was getting stiff.

I practically peel my clothes off before walking over to the mirror. When I see my reflection, I can't help but sigh. At least it's not red... it would look so much more disturbing if it was red blood. The roots of my hair have already changed back to their original color and it looks like only a faint amount of red remains in my eyes.

I smile in relief but suddenly, something catches my eyes. I do a double-take on my eyes but I don't see anything... Am I seeing things? I lean in closer, looking at my eyes from different angles before leaning back with a frown.

Maybe I was seeing things... I shrug it off and turn on the shower. I could have sworn my pupils were vertical slits for a split second. I shake it off and enjoy the feel of the warm water. As I close my eyes and lift my face up, the warm water washes away all the golden blood.

As the water flows down my skin, something ripples up my back. Almost like my spin is moving but I can't feel it or see it. My mind is enjoying the feel of the water and the fact that I've made it back in one piece.

I'll need to make a charm that will stay with me at all times so that Enzo can't summon me back. I wonder if he knows I'm gone yet? I reach out and turn the water off before reaching back and ringing out all the water in my hair.

I grab my towel and wipe my face but as I do that, the skin on my cheeks s.h.i.+nner with a golden hue. I finish drying off and slip on the most comfortable pair of black leggings I own. Man, it felt good to be in pants again.

After slipping on a s.h.i.+rt and brus.h.i.+ng my hair and my teeth, I quickly walk out to find Kian waiting in my workroom. He's twirling a black feather in his fingers as he leans against the table but when I step into the room, he looks up to me and gives me a small smile.

"Feel better?" He asks placing the feather down on the table. I give him a knowing smile before nodding my head and walking over to him. I stop at his feet and gently tap his shoe. He arches a dark eyebrow and smirks at me before widening his legs.

My smile grows as I step between his legs and reach out to touch his chest. My fingers trace up his defined chest as I say "When this is all over... I'm tying you to my bed and having my way with you." His smile turns dark as he says "Are you sure it'll be me that's tied up and not you?"

I lean my body up against his as his arms snake around my waist and pulls me close. I lean in close and whisper "We can always take turns..." His low growl of approval is cut short when he leans in and kisses me.

His arm tightens around me before he stands up and spins me around, placing me on top of the table. His other hand reaches down to open my legs as he deepens the kiss. His hands go to my a.s.s before pulling me hard against him.

I moan against his lips as he begins to nibble my lower lip. When open my eyes to look at him, he freezes. I blink in confusion as he slowly leans back, looking at me closely. "What?" I ask with confusion and slightly breathless but he just continues looking at my eyes.

"Kain?" I ask leaning back, finally getting his attention. He blinks a few times before asking "Are you... are you feeling okay?" Confused, I tilt my head to the side and think for a few seconds before saying "Yeah? Why? What's wrong?" I reach up and touch my face because he keeps looking at me but I don't feel anything.

He reaches out and takes my hands in his before asking "What happened after you ate the Dragon heart?" Still confused, I say "I met with the Dragon and we made a deal. If he got me out, I would give him freedom. I'm out and he's free. It's done."

Kian reaches up and gently touches my cheek before taking a deep breath in surprise. His eyes widen as he says "I don't think it's done, dollface." I reach up and touch my cheek again but I still don't feel anything.

I gently push Kian away and hop down off the table before rus.h.i.+ng back to the bathroom. I turn the lights on and quickly walk over to the mirror. My eyes look back to me, full of confusion and worry but nothing seems off. Nothing is different...

Kian appears behind me in the mirror and leans up against me from behind before lifting his hand and gently brus.h.i.+ng my cheek. My skin s.h.i.+mmers in a golden hue before disappearing again. I freeze and stare at my cheek for a solid ten seconds before Kian asks "Did you allow the Dragon into your soul?"

My eyes snap up to his in the mirror as my heart races in fear. I open my mouth and whisper "Yes..." as my pupils turn into slits.
