Hidden Hallows 47 Temptation

"I'm really starting to think you can read my thoughts.." I say staring at him like a deer in the headlights. His smile grows as he slowly walks over to me saying "You're just incredibly easy to read, dollface. You show all your thoughts in your beautiful clear eyes..."

He stops right before me and I can't help but look up at him with a stupid dazed look. He doesn't look real... it's like he was made perfectly to my taste... I blink and quickly look away, trying to clear my head as I struggle to understand what's happening.

When I feel his finger under my chin, I nearly jump out of my skin but he quickly places his hand behind my back to keep me from running away like a skittish rabbit. I look up to him with a frown, ready to lay into him about touching me but the words die on my tongue as my eyes lock onto his face.

He leans in and to my surprise, I don't lean back or try to get away. Instead, I stand completely still and watch him closely, almost like I can't get enough of him or like... like he's familiar? He stops just centimeters from my lips and says "I never expected... you."

His lips touch mine and for a split second I panic before a rush of warmth hits me so hard, I nearly fall over. He deepens the kiss and I suddenly feel like I'm in the middle of a deep ocean. Something about him is so foreign and yet... familiar.

I jerk away and cover my lips with a shaky hand as I watch him with wide, confused eyes. He struggles to control himself as he runs his hands through his solid black hair. His sharp jawline is tight as he tries to control himself but when his eyes land back on me, the hunger I see has my insides clenching.

I stumble back a few feet as I struggle to ask "Who... who the h.e.l.l are you?" He licks his lips and looks away as he says "I already told you, dollface. It's time to go." He walks back over to the Range Rover and climbs in without another word.

After taking a few deep breaths, I get back in and quickly drive home in silence. Kian grabs Xander again and carries him in like nothing. Kian tosses him on the couch, earning a glare from me as I say "Careful! You'll hurt him."

Kian looks back to Xander and says "The only reason I didn't kill him was because of you. Don't ask me to be nice too." I glare at him again as I walk over to check on Xander. "When will he wake up?" I ask with concern when Xander shows no signs of waking up.

Kian looks around the living room before making himself comfortable on the large chair and says "When I want him to." I snap my head over to him and glare at him again as I say "You could have woken him up earlier!?"

Kian watches me with a blank look before suddenly snapping his fingers. Xander sucks in and quickly sits up with a growl but when he sees me, he calms down for a moment. When he sees Kian, he quickly pulls me beside him as he growls again and says "You!"

Kian smirks and says "Yes, me. Thanks for letting me borrow your... meat sack for a bit." Xander growls at him in a low threatening manner as it finally clicks for me. "You remember everything?" I ask Xander in shock.

Xander grits his teeth in anger as he says "I remember everything while he was in me. I could see and hear everything but my beast and I couldn't do anything..." I swallow hard and nod as I look back to Kian.

"You got what you wanted, right? Tell me what the other demons want with me." I say with worry. Kian watches me closely before slowly looking Xander over. Xander suddenly growls and says "Be careful Demon or I will drag your a.s.s back to the underworld."

Kian smirks and lifts his hand, the hand that carries the same marking as mine as he says "If you drag me back to the underworld, she'll be dragged down with me. Is that what you want, Loverboy?" I look down at my hand with a frown as my heart starts to race.

"You tricked her..." Xander says with a growl making Kian sigh. "Yes and no. I kept my word, did I not?" Kain says rubbing the mark on his hand. I stiffen when I feel it on my hand! My head snaps up to Kian as I stare at him in horror.

He smirks at me with delight making Xander lunge at him, teeth bared and claws out. Xander tackles Kian at full speed, knocking the large chair over with them. "s.h.i.+t! Stop!" I say jumping up off the couch. I suddenly feel like a cheating wife or something but if I had to be fair, Xander and I aren't in an actual relations.h.i.+p... just talking!! Okay, maybe it's more...

They both land a few blows before I use my magic to separate the both of them. They both glare at each other as their wounds instantly start healing. I lower the barrier and say "No fighting in the house. Please."

I turn to Kian and ask "What is this mark?" Kian straightens his s.h.i.+rt as he says "A blood bond." Xander roars like a wild animal, nearly causing myself to jump out of my skin when Kian rolls his eyes and says "Save it, Loverboy. You've put your scent all over her without her knowing and I know for a fact you two aren't actually a thing. All's fair in love a war."

I open my mouth to say something but words fail me as I struggle to process what's currently happening. When I hear crunching in the otherwise silent house, I turn to find Binx sitting on the kitchen counter with a bowl cat food.

He's watching everything with bright eyes and a swis.h.i.+ng tail but when he sees me looking, he stops eating and says "Go on! This stuff is way better than the dramas I watch on TV."
