Hidden Hallows 80 That's New

I quickly stand up to walk over but both Kian and Xander back up and lift their arms in a protective manner saying "Stay back." All three of us watch Ambrose convulse for a solid ten minutes before becoming completely still.

After a few more minutes, we all inch over to check on him. Xander toes him with his shoe but nothing happens. I stare at Ambrose with a mix of worry and dread. "All the vampires from the club saw me leave with him... if something happens..."

Xander growls and says "All the vampires will come down on you..." I slowly nod my head as all three of us stare down at Ambrose's unmoving body. "Is he dead?" I ask leaning over closer when he suddenly sucks in!

We all jerk back in surprise and watch as he says "Grapes..." His dark blue eyes stare up at the ceiling as he takes deep breaths. I look around for the grapes and quickly grab them. I inch closer to him and gently hand him the grapes.

He wraps his arms around them and slowly closes his eyes saying "Alive..." Suddenly, he starts lightly snoring! I nervously lick my lips as I ask "Can... do vampires snore?" Xander stands as still as a statue as Kian says "This is the first time I've really interacted with a vampire so... I don't know."

Kian backhands Xander in his arm, making Xander jump. Xander blinks a few times before saying "I... vampires don't sleep. They just kind of... lay there. This... This is new. What happened to him? Why's he... this?"

Kian and I grow extremely quiet as we all awkwardly stand around the sleeping vampire holding grapes. Xander lets out a low growl before looking to me. His eyes go down to my arm then back to Ambrose. He's not stupid...

"He drank my blood and... he... did this," I say with an exasperated look on my face. Kian grits his teeth but he doesn't say anything as Xander looks at me with confusion. He turns to face me completely as he asks "He drank your blood and this happened?"

I nod my head and bite my lip as I say "Something happened to my blood and it's no longer... normal. Not that it was really all that normal to begin with but... now it's really not normal." Xander's confusion only seems to grow as he says "Your a halfbreed or hybrid but your blood shouldn't do this."

I lift my hand and Kian immediately says "Don't!" I sigh and drop my hand as I say "My blood is white, Xander, okay!? White!!" Xander stares at me in shock before looking back down at Ambrose. His head whips back to me as he asks "How the h.e.l.l did that happen?"

"When I went back in time.." I say but I'm cut off by Kian when he says "It doesn't really matter how it happened. All that matters is keeping this a secret. No one can know about Eris's blood or it could be disastrous."

Xander runs a hand through his hair as he turns to look back at Ambrose. "We have to keep him here until he wakes up. We can't let others see this... whatever this is." I nod my head in agreement as I say "We can put him in the guest room until he wakes up."

Kian and Xander nod and pick Ambrose up together. They walk out of the kitchen, leaving me standing in the huge mess. With a sigh, I crouch down and place my hand on the floor while saying "Sorry, I'll fix you."

I unleash my magic and watch as everything starts piecing itself back together. The wall becomes solid again as the water and blood mixture on the floor begins to evaporate. I then walk over to the fridge and place my hand on it, releasing my magic once again.

After everything is back in place, I silently walk to the guest room but stop right outside. Kian and Xander were talking softly. I strain to hear but when my s.h.i.+fter side even fails to hear what they're saying, I use my magic to enhance my hearing.

"You have no right to say that, wolf." Kian says in a low threatening voice but Xander comes back and says "Do you really think she'll be safe around you? A demon!? Things have been getting worse ever since you've shown up!"

Kian snorts and says "In case you haven't noticed, things were already going to h.e.l.l even before I showed up. You just don't like me here because you want her all to yourself." Xander growls and says "Your a demon, what happiness could she ever find with you?"

I decide to put an end to the pointless argument and walk in. They both turn to look at me before looking back to Ambrose on the bed. I walk over and use my magic to lay a blanket over him as I say "I went to find Ambrose to get his help in tracking the Witch Hunter. I had no idea this would happen but until he wakes up, I can't leave this house."

I turn to face them as I continue "Xander, can you see if you can find anything on the Witch Hunter?" Xander nods his head as he says "I'll put a few men on it." I nod and say "Thank you" before turning to Kian and asking "Can you help me with something as well?"

Kain takes a step closer and nods his head saying "Of course." I nod and say "There's something or someone going around killing witches, s.h.i.+fters, and vampires. Can you look around and see if you come across anything? I don't want you to attack it or anything, I just want to see if you can find anything on it. I feel like you're the only one capable of actually getting close to this thing and holding your own."

Kian gives me a dark, knowing smile as he says "Killing and death leaves traces and trails, something I'm easily able to pick up. I also know my way around the shadows. Don't worry, dollface. I'll find this thing and where it's hiding."
