I s.h.i.+ver again as heat pools in my lower stomach. I clench my eyes shut as he licks the cut saying "You shouldn't bleed in front of others from now on." He places the lightest kiss on the center of my throat before going to the other cut and saying "If I hadn't been here... he would have drained you."

He kisses the cut and lightly pulls on it, just like he did with the other before softly licking it. He drags his nose up the side of my neck and kisses just under my ear, making me s.h.i.+ver as he says "They don't have the same amount of control that I have..."

I snap my eyes open and feel them burn as I fight against the desire he has somehow pulled out of me like some kind of magic spell. Maybe his seductive charm is just that strong... Would it be so bad to just get laid?

I don't have feelings like that for Ambrose and I'm pretty sure he doesn't either... it would just be s.e.x... hot, intense s.e.x but just s.e.x. He kisses along my jaw and pauses at my lips, waiting for me to decide.

When I lock eyes on him, I see hunger but it's not my blood he's after. I stay as still as a statue as he slowly leans in, keeping eye contact with me the entire time before lightly kissing me. Neither one of us closes our eyes as we stare at each other in silence.

I feel just how hard he is under me, making my desire and l.u.s.t spin out of control but when his hands go for my underwear, I jerk back. I quickly cover myself and crawl back with swollen lips and l.u.s.t-filled eyes.

Ambrose is quick to follow but I use one arm to cover myself and lift my other hand out to stop him as I say "If this continues, I will sleep with you and we will both regret it later." My voice is low and shaky, showing just how affected I really am.

He gives me a dark grin and says "I highly doubt I would regret sleeping with you, Eris. How would you know you'd regret it?" Even he's breathless, his eyes show just how much he wants me. With a shaky voice, I stare at him with a mix of desire and fear as I say "We're both going to get dressed and act like this never happened."

We stare at each other in silence yet again as we have a silent standoff. I slipped... I gave in to l.u.s.t, in a moment of weakness and I'm already regretting it. No, I'm not in a relations.h.i.+p but I have enough problems with the other two, I don't need to make things worse!

I see something s.h.i.+ft in him as he sighs and slowly sits back, giving in as he says "Fine..." I jump off the bed and grab my clothes before quickly running out of the room. I head straight for the shower and turn it on.

I strip my underwear off and jump in the shower, hoping I can wash away all my shame, wondering what the h.e.l.l I was thinking. After sitting in the shower for a small eternity, I get dressed and walk out to find Ambrose standing in the kitchen, holding the grapes with a perplexed look on his face.

I walk into the kitchen and ask "Do you remember anything?" Ambrose sets the grapes down on the counter and says "No... well... I think I remember some things." He suddenly turns to me and looks down at my arm, the same one he bit when he lost control.

He suddenly reaches up and touches his chest, frowning as he says "It's... it's beating." This time I frown as I look at him in confusion but when he looks back up to me, it's filled with awe and disbelief.

I look back to his hand on his chest and ask "Beating? Are you talking about your... your heart?" Suddenly, he's before me! He shoves my head against his chest as he says "Listen!" I blink in shock and listen.

After a few moments of silence, I hear a thud. My head jerks back as I stare at him with wide eyes filled with shock. He looks like he's about to cry as he says "I... I can feel things again... things I even forgot existed. It's slow but it's definitely beating!"

Holys.h.i.+t... I step closer again and place my hand on his chest. After a few silent moments, it beats again! My eyes snap up to his, only to find him staring down at me with so much emotion that I instantly stumble back and look away.

I awkwardly clear my throat as I say "I, uh... the blood. I mean, my blood." I sigh and try again as I say "I think it was my blood. Remember what I said before. Don't tell anyone." When I look back at him, he's giving me a sad smile as he says "My lips are sealed... how is this even possible?"

I walk over to a kitchen chair and collapse in it as I tiredly rub my face saying "I don't know. I'm still trying to figure that all out. I came to you last night because I needed you to find someone." He opens and closes his fists with wonder but when he looks back up to me, he says "Who do you need me to find. Just give me the name."

I bare my teeth at him, a vicious light flas.h.i.+ng in my eyes as I say "Tristan, the Witch Hunter."
