Complex Romance 32 He Hasn't Given Up

After Teresa told him about the graduation trip, Harry immediately thought about a few of his closest friends which were, William, Bob and John. He knew that it would be better to not ask John as it would make Teresa feel very awkward. Hence he decided to invite William and Bob. Harry was going to meet up with his friends that night, so he planned to ask William and Bob privately when the three of them were alone.

During the boys gathering, the three of them coincidentally reached earlier than the other boys. So Harry took this opportunity to ask them first,

"Hey, William, Bob, I wanna ask you guys if you wanna go on a trip?"

"What trip?" Asked William.

"Ermm, something like a graduation trip with Teresa Jane and Zoey. They want to go on a trip in a small group so they asked me to invite two other boys, so are you guys in?"

"When is it?" Asked Bob.

Then only, did Harry think that he had forgotten to ask for the time. He was so excited and happy about knowing that he would be going on a trip with Teresa, as he forgot to ask the details about the trip. Harry didn't know what to answer, so he was in an awkward position.

"Don't tell me you didn't ask for the time? How stupid of you? Hahahahaha" Laughed William and Bob.

"Well, I forgot that's all. It's not call stupid, it's call forgetful!"

"Then, how could you accept their invitation if you didn't know the date? You didn't even know if you are free or not during that period of time."Asked William.

"You see, you are the fool here. We have already finished our finals. Now is chill time, is there any other activity either then relaxing?" Scolded Harry.

After listening to Harry's statement, Bob nodded his head in agreement and said, "Oh ya... You are right... We are free."

"So? Are you guys in?" Asked Harry again.

"Yup, I'm in." Said Bob, "Me too" William Added.

"What about me?" Suddenly someone asked.

The three of them were shocked to see John standing behind them, especially Harry.

"Ohh, when did you reach John?" Asked Harry.

"About 5 minutes ago."

"... So did you hear everything?"

"Yep. I'm in."

The phase "I'm in." cause Harry to panic. This wasn't what he planned. If John wants to join then there would be extra one person. But if he were to reject John, would John feel offended?

Being a man, Harry told the truth, "I'm sorry John... But The girls only asked me to invite two more people... So if you want to come then there would be an extra person..."

To stop the awkward conversation, William quickly said, "Harry why don't you ask the girls if we could add another person?"

Harry thought for a while and said "Okay then, I will ask them and see how..."

Harry was afraid that this matter would disturb Teresa, so he decided to ask Jane. After talking to Jane about it, Jane told him not to worry and this wasn't his fault. However, she really disliked the thought of John going with them on the trip as John was someone who had hurted her best friend before. But again if she were to reject him, she would put Harry and the other two boys in an awkward position.

After thinking about it, she thought that it was better to ask both Zoey and Teresa's opinion. Although this would make Teresa uncomfortable, this is the best choice. If she were to hide this from Teresa, Teresa would feel even more hurt and guilty when she finds out the truth herself. At that moment she wanted to hit John in the face if she could, because John was always the one who caused trouble for them especially for Teresa.

Suddenly, a thought pa.s.sed through Jane's mind, "Don't tell me he hasn't given up on Teresa..."
