Steve pretended not to have seen me as I waved at him. I shrugged. "Guess it's my turn to be the misery one" But come to think of it... This is going too far, He has taken this his 'act' to an extent which I don't comprehend. I groaned.
At least I can cheer other players since I've been ignored by the one reason I'm here. After finis.h.i.+ng my thought, in awe, I watched Caleb leave his group, suddenly running with speed up to where I sat (like my direction!) I puffed.
He ignored as the other players call after him, he didn't stop until he has reached where I was sitting with my arms crossed.
"Hey". He said out of breath. "Glad you made it because I really need your good-luck charm". He said and then run back before I could give him my reply. My eyes dart from left to right wondering what that was!.
Then I caught Steve staring at me immediately Caleb turned and blew me a kiss in the air. Seriously? My eyes were almost plucking out from its sucket the moment I noticed whom I was sitting beside.
"Does she always have to get every guy she came across?" Isobe smirked rudely looking at me. I quickly comforted myself and shoot Caleb a half-centered smile before he wandered back to the field.
...
... Something awful happened minutes after the second half has started... It was something that was never in the picture but it did happen anyway.
It all started when Steve intentionally shot the ball at Caleb instead of the post... He said it was an accident but I knew it wasn't when it reoccurred again. This time it was Caleb who shot his at Steve. They almost got into a fight but were separated with a threat of being kicked out from the team. Plus Isobel's obnoxious blames that the supposed fight was because of me.
...
Now that the game has come to an end, there was a rematch because no goal was scored. I waited till people have vacated the area to finally have a chance of talking senses into him. Immediately Steven saw me coming, he started to walk off. "Will you stop being childish?". I called after him. "For f.u.c.k sake you are an adult! I believe so". I blurt and bite my lips to hold me from spluttering more rubbish.
He stopped as if something has caught him off guard and started to walk at me with a look I've never seen before. "You wanna know what childish is?" He asked and he grabbed both my shoulders, shaking me so hard that I felt my teeth rattle.
"Dude back off". Caleb yelled and pushed him from me. Steven rushed back at him with a punch but suddenly dropped it.
He looked at me. "Hey". He said softly his hand reached out to me. I turned from them and made my way out of the arena, leaving the two of them.
" Are you alright?". Caleb said as he runs after me. Receiving sympathy from anyone was never a thing I've experienced before.
I sighed. "I'm good, I think... I just need to go home". I said softly.
"Okay? Can I take you?... I looked at him to complete his sentence." Home ". He said and takes my hand in his.
"Thanks... But I can manage". I smiled at him before walking away.
