A Path Of Bone And Poison 39 War Goddess's Shrine

Hylia slowly closed her eyes as I laid her in bed. I had to princess carry her from the guild to the house. Apparently being possessed by the G.o.ddess truly took a lot out of her. She started to softly snore soon after I laid in bed. Her body was desperately clinging to mine, as if I was the only branch she could cling to before falling off a cliff.

I gently rubbed her head while she slept. I did not touch her sensitive ears, as that would have likely woken her up. Rather i just gently stroked her head, but my mind was somewhere else. The conversation with the G.o.ddess of War was ringing through my mind.

The G.o.ddess had claimed that Alex was still in control, but was that really the case? She had also stated that Alex would change over time, becoming more like her.

The last part is what really bothered me. Yes, we all change. Our circ.u.mstances and experiences change us all, but would having something inside you influencing you be something that you could control?

I did not sleep at all that night, and answers never came. As the light of dawn s.h.i.+ned through our windows, Hylia sat up and stretched. Her small b.r.e.a.s.t.s bounced as she did so. My eyes were entranced by her body, as she her movements were both natural but highly seductive.

I felt an odd warmth beginning to envelop my lower half, and a strange tingling in my body. My mind wernt blank as all I could think about was the woman in front of me. I tried desperately to hold myself back, I tried hard enough that sweat started to form on my brow.

When Hylia noticed my gaze she winked at me with a flirty gaze. She winked and bit her bottom lip as her hands slowly ran down her body. I could not help myself as I leaned into her and conquered her lips. I kissed her aggressively and pa.s.sionately as my hands explored her body. She did not resist as her hands wrapped around my own body.

Several hours later we finally left the bed. Hylia had a quite satisfied look on her face as she grabbed my hand and led me to the bath. The warm water felt great on my sore body, and Hylia gave me one of her adorable toothy smiles as we relaxed in the water. The morning was perfect, but I could not help but worry in the back of my mind.

After our bath I kept my word to Hylia. I had told her that after I looked into her situation we would go to the church.

A sense of dread filled my being as we approached the church. It was actually a rather small building, more like a shrine you would see in j.a.pan. The holy energy in the air made it difficult to breathe, but it surprisingly did not hurt me.

A middle aged human man stood in front of the shrine, his eyes dancing between Hylia and myself. He had a look of reverence when he looked at Hylia's marking, but his eyes were full of scorn when they landed on me.

Hylia ignored the man as she walked pa.s.sed him. The man stopped my pa.s.sage however. "Your kind are not welcome here." The man spat at me. His face was full of disgust as he forcefully stopped my advance.

At that moment a sharp pressure was emitted from Hylia, and the familiar voice of the G.o.ddess rang out. "Do not touch my consort mortal. She is always welcomed in my church. Can your fool eyes not see my blessing. can they not sense my holy aura on this girl?"

The man fell to his knees due to the pressure. His entire body was trembling as his eyes went wide. His gaze was fixed on me as he observed my being. "Your divine aura is indeed on this girl Your Holiness. But she is all tainted by the energies of That beast Fenfir and that Elf wench. Not to mention the curse given to her by that mere demiG.o.d."

"Mind your tongue Human. Those G.o.ds who you insult may be my adversaries, but they are existences that you could never hope to cross. As for the so called "curse" I have already taken care of it. She no longer needs twice the experience to level up. As for the other part... I find that it is actually a blessing in disguise. Do not question me again, or your fate will not end in simply death."

The man did not move as we walked into the shrine. Bellow him you could see a puddle beginning to form and a bitter scent began to fill the air.

Inside the shrine was rather simple. It was a single room, with only two items. The first was the image of the G.o.ddess. This time the statue had a head and I could take a good look at it. The woman was beautiful. She appeared to be human, and her face likewise had the red stripe across it. The statue of course did not have color, as it was made of a marble like substance, yet the stripe was red regardless.

In one hand the Statue had a broadsword, the other a s.h.i.+eld. She wore full plate armor. The differences between her and Alex could not be more apparent.

The other item in the room was a simple alter, the alter was empty. Hylia instructed me to place my pistols on the Alter, as she placed her hammer there as well.

We then knelt in front of the statue. We knelt for an unknown amount of time. The energy around us began to change. The holy energy began to s.h.i.+ft, it grew more frenzied, as if it was in the middle of a battle. Deep inside me I could feel my [Were-Rabbit Bloodl.u.s.t] reacting to it. My body began to move on it's own as I turned to face Hylia.

Hylia was already on her feet. Her eyes were a blood red color, and her muscles seemed to have bulged. She was noticeably in her blood rage state.
