Ronghua was caressing the fan. Although the fan was complete now, she felt disturbed, and that something terrible was going to happen. Moreover, the feeling of unease was growing.
“Ronghua!”
On hearing the cry, Ronghua turned around, only to see a bolt of black lightning striking toward her. Before she could react to it, she was thrown out and hit heavily against a tree and fell.
She spat out a mouthful of blood and raised her head hard to look at the people over there.
The black mist cleared, and a group of people appeared not far from her.
“Weilian, the King of Death! What are you doing here?”
Ronghua, who was struck, lay on the ground and was unable to move. She looked at the sullen man in front of her.
“Ronghua,” Murong Zhe came over with Xia Pumo and reached out his hands to help her, “are you okay?”
Ronghua struggled to stand up, but her eyes kept staring at Weilian. Unexpectedly, the King of Death had not yet waited for the right time and brought an army to seize her. How highly he had thought of her!
“Your Highness, what are you doing here?”
Ronghua wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth and no longer put on her feigned smile.
Weilian did not speak. Instead, the woman next to him stepped forward.
“Princess Ronghua, we have something to settle with you.”
Murong Zhe asked Ronghua, “Who are they?”
Evidently, he didn't know these people, because he had never seen them or seen their real faces. He had heard of them at most.
Ronghua looked sideways, “Don't you know him? You will know him soon, and deeply!”
Secretly manipulating the ripple map, Ronghua contended with Weilian, “Your Highness, what are you going to do this time?”
Guixia continued, “Not long ago, our Race of Demons lost an item, and our King of Death was furious about it. However, he kept Lingran's requirement to him— stay calm, and we've been tracking it for a long time. Unexpectedly, you hide it.”
Murong Zhe didn't expect they were demons. The woman and the people behind her were all from the Race of Demons. “Is it said that the Race of Demons does not enter the territory of the Race of Humans? Why did they not only come this time but also with so many companions? It seems that things are a bit troublesome,” he thought.
“Me?” Ronghua said while recovering her body. She had been wounded by the sneak attack just now, and the golden light was emitting out to restore her injured body. If she hadn't recovered before he attacked her, it would be dangerous.
“Ronghua, I know what you are doing. Are you trying to buy time?”
What Guixia said was right to the point, and Ronghua thought in surprise, “She knows quite a lot.”
Weilian, the King of Death, his eyes were fixed on the fan.
“Hand over the fan, and I will leave you the whole corpse after you die!”
Ronghua was frightened and knew that he had the intention to kill her. “He was still the same after such a long time,” she thought.
“It's mine!” Ronghua pinched the fan as if it would be s.n.a.t.c.hed away the next second. Although the fan was her weapon, she has a feeling that Weilian could manipulate it too.
“Then, there is no negotiation.” His voice sounded chilling. He had already decided to kill her.
She stepped back. “Murong Zhe, take Mo away!” she shouted.
Murong Zhe turned to look at her and said, “Do you know what you are talking about?” Weilian was obviously a demon, and the whole s.p.a.ce was distorted as soon as he appeared. But now she let them go. Did she intend to die alone?
“We will not leave!” Xia Pumo also said firmly.
Now it wasn't the time for mutual courtesy.
Weilian had gathered strength in his hands. It was impossible to resist his all-out attack since Ronghua had not recovered. Weilian was good at devouring and had a good mastery of s.p.a.ce. If she were struck by his attack, she would be torn by s.p.a.ce or die.
“Hurry up!” Ronghua struggled to push them away, and the devouring power of Weilian was already behind her. Ronghua pushed them away with one hand, and the fan behind her became bigger to stop Weilian's attack. Ronghua was shocked to fly forward, raised her left hand before landing, and picked up the fan to block the attack behind again with a quick response. Then, she promptly escaped under a strong impact. Weilian ran after her and created a cage, but this time Ronghua would not be so easily controlled.
“Ronghua!” Weilian growled. He would no longer believe whatever the woman said.
From her performance just now, she was definitely not as uncomplicated as she seemed to be. She could skillfully use the fan, and her power was unmatched. However, it appeared that she couldn't control that power.
Originally, Ronghua had a good disguise, but Lingran's fan unexpectedly appeared beside her and directly integrated into her fan.
“Ronghua, hand over the fan, and you will not be killed.”
Ronghua did not believe him. She looked down and saw that the devouring force was indeed sweeping over her. Ronghua turned the fan into a sword and tried her best to cut it. The black mist broke into a crack, but it didn't take long to close again.
“Your Highness, let's have a good talk.”
On hearing it, the King of Death said, “Will you?”
Ronghua recited the formula and wanted to open a crack. This was the only way to escape from his hands.
“Stop!” Ronghua suddenly stopped and turned around. Weilian, frightened by her shout, stopped, still gathering some unreleased power in his hands.
“You're looking for Lingran's fan, aren't you?”
Weilian froze for a moment, and the power on his hands gradually disappeared. Ronghua looked at his movements and felt it was hopeful of escaping. She urged the fan in her hand behind her as she contended with Weilian.
“Then why not hand over the fan?” Weilian looked calm and stared at the fan that Ronghua held behind her. It was Lingran's fan.
“I don't know why you come to me, but I think it's just an accident.”
“Accident?” Weilian sneered and covered his lips with fingers, “I don't believe it!”
Ronghua stepped back, “Today, I saved a man and solved a lot of troubles with my fan. But I don't know why Lingran's fan was influenced by mine and came into my fan. But I can promise you that what I say counts.”
Now she could understand why Weilian, the King of Death, was indignant and brought his subjects to encircle and suppress her at all costs. It was presumably related to her fan bone being called back. That fan must be Lingran's, or she wouldn't have suffered such a severe injury.
However, her fan was actually related to the iron fan of Lingran. Why was the fan bone from her fan in Lingran's hand? Could it be a.s.sociated with that missing memory?
“Give me the fan!” Weilian smiled uninhibitedly, looking harmless, but Ronghua was very clear that he was already impatient. He could rush over at any time, but the crack had not yet opened.
“No, it's mine!”
Ronghua said firmly. If he were given the fan, the consequences would be unimaginable.
“Okay. I'll do it myself!”
Then Weilian disappeared in front of her after finis.h.i.+ng the words. Ronghua was surprised. “When could he do this? The dangerous man was dangerous, no matter where he was.” Ronghua thought.
Ronghua silently turned the fan into a sword, which was convenient for a counterattack at any time. Still, he hid so well that she couldn't find where he was. On the one hand, she was opening the crack to escape; on the other hand, she had to maintain the shape of the sword, so there was almost no extra power to detect Weilian's whereabouts.
Ronghua fell to the ground and looked around, looking for him slowly. She knew that Weilian was waiting for an opportunity to knock her down with one blow. However, it was not easy for Ronghua to show her flaw.
All of a sudden, Ronghua felt that there was a wind behind her. Before she could turn around, Weilian directly grabbed her shoulder and tore her clothes instantly with a strong force at the moment when Ronghua turned around. Ronghua stepped back, one hand covering the fallen clothes, and looked at him with a surprised face.
“What did you do?”
Weilian didn't know why he would tear off her clothes, and the clothes ripped off was still in his hand. Ronghua became angry with embarra.s.sment and turned around to put on a thick fur coat.
It was at that moment that Weilian seemed to see something on her back. Was it a scar?
Ronghua pointed at Weilian and said, “You…you…, I… I really….”
Seeing Ronghua was speechless for the first time, Weilian seemed to be a little pleased, and he smiled unconsciously.
Ronghua was confused by him and didn't know what to say.
“Your Highness!”
There was a cry coming from behind. When Ronghua heard it, the strange smile on her face disappeared at once, and the smile on Weilian's face was still unfaded.
As soon as Guixia came, she saw the King of Death smile again, and it was because of this b.i.t.c.h.
She ignored everything and gathered lightning in her hand at once, and directly tossed it towards Ronghua.
“Guixia…”
Weilian rushed over and flashed behind Ronghua to block the punch. Although it was nothing to Weilian, it was a deadly attack for Ronghua.
Ronghua was a little confused. “What is he doing?” she thought.
In fact, Weilian did not understand why he did so, either. Obviously, he deadly hated her, but when he saw she was injured or she asked for something, he would instinctively put her feelings at first.
Why did he do that? It was like something in his bones.
Guixia was confused by Weilian's behavior. “Why is the King of Death helping this b.i.t.c.h?” she thought.
“Your Highness, she….”
“Enough!”
Before Guixia finished speaking, she was interrupted by Weilian's order, “Withdraw.”
“Your Highness!” Guixia shouted. “Why did he ask me to retreat?” she thought.
“Your Highness, she took away the fan of Lingran.”
“Withdraw!” Weilian said with emphasis, “Don't my words work?”
Guixia bit her lips and looked viciously at Ronghua. This was always the case. Whatever Ronghua said, the King of Death would believe it, whether true or false. Although he sometimes beat her hard, it was actually not dangerous.
“Ronghua!” Guixia thought in wrath.
Guixia retreated with hatred, and her evil eyes made Ronghua confused. “What's the matter with her?” Ronghua thought.
“Your Highness, I….”
Ronghua also didn't know what to say.
“The fan!” Ronghua suddenly remembered.
Thinking of the fan, Ronghua reflexively backed away, putting her hands behind her back.
Her meaning was evident that she wouldn't hand it over.
Weilian felt better now and said patiently, “Show me!”
Ronghua took another step back.
Weilian, “….”
“Just have a look,” Weilian said with difficulty.
“I don't have what you want.”
Weilian withdrew his hand and slowly turned around. Ronghua was also relieved.
Suddenly, Weilian turned back. Before Ronghua could react, Weilian held her in his arms, and his breath was chilly and dangerous. Ronghua was a little confused. “What is he doing?” she thought.
Then Weilian let go of her. She had her head down weakly and suddenly felt her hands were empty.
“Give it back to me!” Ronghua jumped onto Weilian and reached for the fan.
After all, Weilian's arm was much longer than hers.
Weilian exhaled a breath.
Ronghua had hardly had time to react when she fell into Weilian's arms and was caught in the trick immediately. Being dizzy, she hung on Weilian's shoulders.
“Weilian, you villain! I will never forgive you.” Ronghua thought.
Weilian held a fan in one hand and Ronghua in the other. He looked down at her face and found that she was not as annoying as he had imagined!
Then a door appeared in front of him— an exit through which Ronghua had not had time to escape.
Weilian smiled and entered it with Ronghua in his arms.
