John sat on a chair and lost in deep thought. Zinu too sat near him and hold his hands to support him mentally. She knew how is he feeling now. Mrs Smith has been s.h.i.+fted to the ICU. They could see the nurses were running to get some items needed in the ICU.

  John and Zinu both slept on their chairs of the waiting room.  When it was already morning, they both woke up at the sound of someone, who calling them. John opened his eyes and saw Charlie and Dolly were there. They were just informed by Miss Fue about Mrs Smith. They came running when got the news.

"John bro. How is grandma? Why you did not call us? We would have come early ."Dolly asked worriedly.

"Dolly, I am sorry.I did not want to worry you. She had a severe heart attack this time. Her condition is not good. I don't know what would happen. Doctors have s.h.i.+fted her to the ICU."John replied.

"Don't worry bro. Nothing would happen to her. She will be fine." Charlie said by keeping a hand on John's shoulder.

"Let's go and check how grandma is doing," Zinu said and got up.

  They all stood outside the gla.s.s door of the ICU. The whole body of Mrs Smith was covered by a white cloth and a lot of machines were connected to her body. The could see the wires everywhere. They could hear the beeping sound of the heart rate monitor. They felt very bad. Yesterday they were talking with her so nicely and now she is fighting here for her life. Dolly could not keep her tears.

"Oh, grandma. Please get well soon and come back to us." Dolly murmured.

  Zinu kept her hand on her shoulder.

"Dolly, she will be fine. Just be patient. Ok?"

  Dolly nodded.

"Bro, you and sis go home to have the breakfast and take some rest. I and Dolly would stay here now." Charlie said to John.

"No, Charlie. I want to be with grandma. I don't want to go home." John replied.

"Hubby, I think we should go home for some time. We need to shower. You should not worry for grandma, as Charlie and Dolly are here. We will come back after taking a shower and have breakfast ."

"Ok. Let's go."

   They reached home and took a shower. After having breakfast, Zinu went to the bedroom to take a short nap.

"Wifey, I am going to the office. Karl just called me. There is an emergency meeting has called by the board of directors. I have to go now"

"What! Which type of meeting is this? You had just attended the meeting with them last week. Why do they need another now?"

"Wifey, I think they are trying to create some problems for me. But, you don't worry. I will manage everything. You just take rest for some time. After your nap, go to the hospital, to accompany Dolly. Charlie too going to attend the meeting."

"If Dolly is alone there, then I should go now. I can take rest there also. She may need something."

"Are you sure? I think you should take rest first."

"Yes. I am getting ready in ten minutes." Zinu said and forwarded to the dressing room. As she reached the door, stopped and said, "Mother just called me. She has already reached the airport with Ronnie."

"That's good. They will reach here by noon then. You can go with me. I will drop you in the hospital."

"Ok," Zinu said and left.

   After half an hour, they reached the hospital.

" Zinu, I called the director of the hospital and booked a VIP cabin. You and Dolly can rest there. I ordered Karl to tighten the security around grandma and also the cabin. You two also should be alert every time."

"Ok. Hubby, Don't worry. You just go and do your duty." Zinu smiled and left.

  Dolly was waiting for Zinu in the cabin. Generally, if a patient is in ICU, no cabin is allocated to the attendant. But, as John was a trustee of the hospital he got some special facilities in the hospital. This cabin is also one of them.

"Zinu you have come! I was bored for a long time. Come let's sit together and talk."

  Zinu joined her. They two talked about all the things of the world and waiting for any good news from the doctors.

  On the other hand, John's time was not spent very well. When he reached the office, Charlie and Karl were waiting for him in his office already. The meeting with directors would be started within one hour. Before that, he had to prepare a lot of doc.u.ments.

"Charlie, what do you think? Why are they coming?"

"Boss, as per my investigation, one of the directors of the board is raising the issue about the bomb blast. He is trying to convince the other directors to vote for change the CEO."

   John was very angry. He knew that some of the directors did not like him as CEO. They could not control the business world if John remains as the CEO of Smith Enterprise.

"Who is he?"

"Boss, he is Tonny Heck. He has the highest percentage of the company shares, among all other directors. Here is his report." Charlie handed him a file. John took it and read attentively.

"Boss here is another file, please have a look at this too.."

  John took the file and studied it. He discussed some matters with them and got ready for the meeting.

  After some time, John entered the meeting room, where everyone was waiting for him. Generally, John did not speak much in the meeting of the board. Everyone knew how ruthless he is, so they too never protest to any decision taken by John. They never could find any loopholes in John's strategy in business. He was the king of the business world, so everyone knew that whenever he would take any decision,that could never harm the company. But this time the scenario changed.
