The Substitute Wife Chapter 19: 17 ...Let's Divorce

Ronny is Haru's older brother. Ronny is always jealous of Haru. Their grandfather always doted Haru more than him.

Their grandfather has already chosen Haru as the next heir. Ronny is using any method to get rid of everything Haru's loves. Including Mia.

SLAM! Haru kicks the door open. Ronny is just sitting on the chair, enjoying his wine. "Ah Brother."

Haru walks up to him and grabs him by the collar. "Why? Why did you do it?" "Little brother." Ronny looks at Haru.

"What do you mean?" Haru punch him on the face, Ronny fell on the floor. "If anything happens to her, I will kill you."

Ronny lets out an evil laugh. "little brother." Ronny stands up. He walks up to him. "We..both know that you have no nerve to kill me."

Ronny walks pa.s.s him. "What do you exactly want from me?" Ronny stops by the doorway. "The heir? Power? I'll give up everything. But not her. Leave her out of this."

"What do I want?" Ronny turns to looks at Haru. "I just want to destroy what you had. That's all." Ronny left. Haru knits his brows; frustrated.

Haru grabs the bottle of wine and throw at the wall. "d.a.m.n it, Ronny!"

Haru locked himself in a room. He refused to see Mia. (How am I supposed to protect you?)

Mia slowly opens her eyes. (Where am I?) she recalls about meeting her mother. (Thats right. That car...) She sits up and turns to her side.

She notices her mother sleeping on the armchair with her arms crossed. "Mom."

She gets out of bed and place a blanket over her mom. She smiles. She returns to the bed.

She looks out the window. (Haru...where are you? I want to see you...)

A few minutes later, her mom opens her eyes. She sees Mia sitting up on the bed. "Mia!" She turns to her mom. "Hm?"

Her mom gets out of the armchair and run towards her to hug her. "Thank goodness."

"Mom. I'm alright." "Mia I —" "please don't." She looks at her mom. "You have your reasons to do it. That doesn't matter. I'm just glad you're alright." She smiles at her mom.

Her mom pats her head. "Even so. I'm sorry. Mia. Mom is sorry." They both share a hug.

Days later, Mia finally discharged from the hospital. Mia looks out the window. "Mia?"

She turns around and sees her mom. "What's wrong?" "Haru. He hasn't come by." She walks towards her and put her hand on Mia's shoulder.

"He's a businessman. I'm sure he's really busy." "I guess so." They head out of the hospital and head home. She waits and waits for his calls or texts, but nothing. She sighs.

That night, she kept sighing. She decided to call him but no answer. She left a voicemail. "Haru. It's me. Um...I just miss you." She hangs up.

Haru receives a phone call from Mia but he didn't bother to answer it. (Sorry, Mia.) The ring ended.

He picks the phone and listen to the voicemail. Tears falling down on his cheeks.

He puts the phone down. "I also miss you too, Mia. Right now, I can't do much."

Next morning, Mia is in the garden, watering the plants. Haru shows up. He smiles as he sees her in a healthy state.

She felt someone behind her. She turns around and drop the hose as soon as she sees him.

She runs towards him and hug him tight. "Haru!" He hugs her back. She parts him and hit him. "You bad husband!"

"Sorry. Sorry." "Is the company is jeopardy?" "No." "Then..." "Mia." She looks up at him. "What is it?"

He takes her to the bench. They both sat down. He puts his hands over hers as he looks at her in the eye. "Mia...let's divorce..."
