Reinhard slammed the door shut and sat on his sofa with an expression of disbelief on his face and his heart pounding so fast that he was sure that it can wake the whole city.

He recalled the event. He saw Alyssa falling on the ground. He pretended to be disgusted by her. He wanted to say something nasty and hurtful to her but Violet beats him to it.

"Was that your sugar daddy?" when Violet said that he felt like bas.h.i.+ng that man's head against the wall or squeezing it so hard with his hand that it will explode. It was then he was her dropped mobile on the ground. If it was any common mobile, he would have ignored it, but it was a satellite mobile and from the look of it he can clearly say that it was self-made and not purchased. He felt intrigued so he picked it up. It was then he saw a message on it, 'I could be your teacher'. Reinhard felt his heart stop for a second and started beating at a much faster pace. To make his uncertainty clearer, he scrolled through the texts. They were the same as he had guessed. The air around him turned still. The voice around him faded and all he can hear was the thumping of his heart. His vision zeroed on Alyssa's profile. He felt guilty and ashamed of his thoughts. He had branded her as an indecent woman without completely knowing her. Forget about her personality, he didn't even know her name.

"Who are you acting for? There's n.o.body here. Quit your acting. I am not like you Violet who tears a family apart. And don't call me your sister again you are not my blood. You are not my family. Show your filial duties to my mother and make her like you." Alyssa's soothing voice entered his ears making him grasp the reality. Her voice was like a fresh air to him. It was unlike Violet's cringy sweet vice. Alyssa's voice was soothing.

He had heard stories about the adopted daughter and the real daughter of Prince Ja.n.u.s. But he was a man who liked to confirm the truth himself rather than believing in rumors. But when it came to Alyssa, he failed himself. That was not a good trait to find in a ruler or even in a common people. He knew he had to learn more before ascending to the throne. He didn't want to repeat this mistake again.

He stiffened when Alyssa's eyes landed on him. He was even startled by his own action. Why would he freeze in front of a little girl like her when the whole world freezes under his stare? He didn't know the answer to this question.

"I pity you for becoming her center of attraction," Alyssa said to him completely dumfounding him. He didn't want her to think that they were a ting or that something was going in between them. He wanted to explain himself but all he was able to say was 'sorry'. He apologized for his own shallow thought and insulting her behind her back. And after saying that he walked away.

Reinhard remembered the graduation day when Prince Ja.n.u.s and Lady Silvia were showering love to Violet and Alyssa was sitting with her friends away from her family. He didn't mean to eavesdrop on their conversation but her fatal, alluring scent was attracting his attention towards Alyssa. He remembered the conversation she had with his friends. At that time, he thought that she was an orphan. But he knew now that the rumors were all true. The real princess of the household is abandoned by her family.

If he hadn't seen the text, he had sent to her on the phone then maybe, surely he would have believed what violet had said. Reinhard felt guilty towards Alyssa. Somehow, he knew that he had wronged her.

He was now dead set on making his relations.h.i.+p better with her.

But why does he care so much about her? He will soon realize it.

After reaching her home Alyssa saw the text message and was elated. She knew that she had done something childish but who cares when you get an awesome teacher in return.

She slept with a smile on her face, unlike someone who was fidgeting the whole night thinking about what he would do the next day.

Violet slammed her bedroom door hard. The rise and fall of her chest due to heavy breathing was clearly indicating the anger that she was holding inside her.

"Ahhhh…" she screamed at the top of her lungs and threw her table lamp on the mirror completely shattering it.

"She always takes everything from me" Violet growled flinging another costly item across the room.

"He left me because of her. it is always because of her. I don't hold any t.i.tle that is also because of her. I will kill her. I will not let her attain anything in her life. I Violet Norrell swears on my blood that I will kill her." Violet snarled swearing an oath to harm Alyssa.

Lady Salvia heard the commotion and entered the room. She entered the room and took the whole mess in. seeing Salvia approach her Violet momentarily calmed down.

"Mother" saying this she rushed towards Salvia and started crying while hugging her.

"It's alright child. I know Reinhard is a tough sh.e.l.l to break." Salvia comforted Violet by rubbing her back. This image of Salvia totally contrasts the true image that she sketches in front of Alyssa.

She made Violet sit on her bed and said, "We will try again. Reinhard is a good catch. You will become the queen of Easteros."

"It was not Reinhard mother. It was Alyssa. She came and ruined everything." Violet complained and sobbed while holding Salvia's hand.

The hand that was rubbing Violet's back to make her calm stopped and Salvia's eyes became dark.

"It's her again. That vermin never learns her lesson. She is an abomination on our life." Salvia growled clenching her fists in anger.

"We have to remove her from our path." She continued.

"Don't worry mother. I will do something. I promise. You don't worry about it." Violet comforted Salvia. Both of them remain deep in thought with their eyes s.h.i.+ning in malice.
