The Humans on the sh.o.r.e completely ignored him as they continued to run around looking for somewhere to hide. A small part of them had totally broken down into tears right where they stood.
"Guys … Guys seriously .. Calm down"
No one was listening to him at all, he found that there were some people who had already completely given up hope and had sat down with their family and friends as they hugged and cried saying their last goodbyes.
"Is this necessary? aren't you exaggerating a little?!! I haven't even done anything yet!??" The large manta watched them while completely dumbfounded.
The language was strange but he had learned how to communicate directly to other creatures by sending his thoughts through the mana so there was never any need for language. In this case the humans were so weak compared to him that he could understand what they were saying by peering into their mana. Therefore technically as long as he concentrated on an individual he could straight up read their minds!
"Little gold, How can they be afraid of such a cute face?" The large manta was very confused. Was he the only one that thought stingray faces were cute?
"Hmmmm, I think they are afraid because you are so big!" She answered after thinking for a few seconds
'I can't help it OK?! It's not like I wanted to be like this!' He felt depressed that his first meeting with other humans was a complete train wreck.
"Here let me give it a try" The little crab said as she surrounded herself in her golden mana and slowly lifted off the giant mantas back.
'Now that i look at it, even though it allows you to fly, it's really slow compared to when I use gravity. it would actually make more sense to call it hovering instead.' He had felt somewhat annoyed that the golden mana could also be used to fly like his gravity element but noticing this small detail made him feel a bit better.
A few of the people who had already lost hope abruptly stopped when they saw a golden light break through the black clouds and slowly descend. As it got closer to the ground more people started to notice until eventually they were all stunned in place looking up at the little crab.
"little gold look! it's working!" the large manta said excitedly.
"Hmph! Of course it's working! How can these humans run away when they see this little crab?" the large manta could hear the c.o.c.kiness in her voice.
As she reached the ground the old village chief snapped out of it as he quickly kneeled onto the ground putting his head onto the sand and forced his grandson to do the same, he didn't dare to keep looking straight at the beautiful golden crab that was as large as a house. Once he did that everyone hurriedly followed suit and also kneeled down onto the ground while touching their foreheads onto the white sand.
"We apologize for showing such an unruly sight, your holiness! We are humble people who live in a small village at the corner of the continent, we have never laid eyes on such a powerful mount before!" The village chief said in a loud voice afraid the large crab would not be able to hear him.
The duo were confused for a second but after the little crab grasped his meaning she looked up at the large manta giving him a really annoying smirk.
"????????" The manta was completely speechless!
Seeing as they didn't say anything the old chief started to get nervous. "I am the head of the Redwood village to the east, as you can see we are in a bit of a situation but if there is anything you need from us we shall do our best to satisfy you."
As the manta peered into what the other villagers were thinking he quickly understood what was going on.
"A divine beast! Look at the golden aura around its body!!" "What a beautiful divine crab!" "Will it help us??" "Are crabs vegetarians?"
'Could the golden mana we acquired after defeating the whale mean that we have achieved divinity? Hmph, the old guy called me a mount didn't he? Hehehe, lets see what he thinks when i do this!'
The large manta released the black cloud that was covering his huge body. As the darkness started to dispersed he used his golden mana to slowly completely cover his big body like how the little crab did. It was a very simple process so even though it was his first time doing it he succeeded without a problem.
The villagers that were bowing down noticed that the dark shadow that had covered the ground they were looking at suddenly disappeared and was instead replaced by a bright and powerful golden light
Though most stayed with their heads down, a few curious villagers including the chief's grandson Jino couldn't help but take a short glance at what was happening. As their eyes captured the scene they were completely stunned in place.
The old chief that was nervously waiting for a response started to feel someone tapping on his shoulder, he tried to ignore it but the tapping became harder and harder to the point where it almost flipped over his body in the sand!
'I'm an old man can't you be a little more gentle!!??' As he was about to give his grandson a harsh glare he heard him scream out loud.
"Grandpa! Grandpa quick! Look up! Look up!"
The old man frowned but his curiosity took over and he took a small peak to which his eyes almost popped out of his head!
Seeing their chief had also lifted his head the rest of the villagers followed suit, as soon as their eyes fell onto the sky they were completely speechless.
"Hehehe what did you call me again? A mount?" the powerful voice sounded out but only went directly into the old chief's head.
Floating around two thousand feet above the ground was a giant black manta that covered the sky, like the small crab it was also covered in a golden aura which was proof to the villagers that they had taken a step closer to G.o.dhood and become divine creatures!
As the powerful voice reached him, the old chief's bronze tanned skin that he gained from working under the sun for years suddenly became white as a sheet of paper.
