The Truth Within Me Book One 5 Flash Back

It's been about 2 hours since I ran from the diner. I am now at some cheap-a.s.s motel and "OMG" it smells like old cigarette smoke!!!! The carpet is old as dirt and has brown stains all over it. There is a medium size bed that has seen better days. On the other side of the room, in the corner is a little dresser that's about to fall apart at any minute. On top of it is an old box tv that has so many white fuzz lines in it that you can't even see the dame thing. The plus side is I can still hear it at less. I finally give in and set on the bed and lay back on the headboard and close my eyes.

I start to fall asleep when the next thing I know I am dreaming that I am 14 years old again.

It was the first time my stepmom ever got drunk and the day I found out I was adopted. I tried hugging her when she pushed me down and yelled it's all you fault that he is dead.

I don't know what to think at this point I am at a loss. I hate you, Nikki. Anna then slapped me in the face over and over. Not satisfied by just slapping me she grabs me by the hair and slams my face into the wall it was so hard I heard the crunch and felt the pop of blood spray from my nose. she does this three more times.

Anna then throws me to the floor and kicked me in my ribs until I turned blue in the face. All I could do was gasp for air I had four broken ribs before she stopped. She just laughs at me and says's "get up and take a shower now and when you're done come back downstairs and clean up this mess up, and it better be done when I get home. She then walked off leaving me on the floor it took me forever to get up, when I did finally get up I thought I was going to die. Once I made it to my bathroom and tried to take my clothes off it was so excruciating that I almost pa.s.sed out completely. I could barely stand up at all and cried the whole time I was in the shower. I had never felt pain like that in my life but hay you know what they say the first one, is always the worse one. Eventually, your body builds up a tolerance over time, when I am finally able to get out of the shower and get dressed I go back downstairs and get everything I need to clean.

I scrub the blood off of the cream cooler walls until they are the same color they started as, once that's done I sit on my hands and knees with a toothbrush and scrubbed the floor until every inch of blood is gone. Once everything is done I go back to my room and crawl into my bed and cried myself to sleep...

Present-day...

I wake up with tears in my eyes gasping for air "UGH' I hate when I have these nightmares! It takes me a long time to calm down once I do I can't fall back to sleep at all. So I decided to go downstairs to the lobby and get something to snack on, as soon as I get to the door I can smell my mate and that girl that was with him earlier today. I stand there dumbfounded for a few minutes trying to figure out how he found me. When someone knocks on the door scaring me to death because I was so lost in my thoughts I don't even realize anyone was at the f.u.c.king door till it was too late. I ran to the window and look out to see the maid standing at the door wearing a light blue sweater with some denim leggings paired with some black boots, looking bored as h.e.l.l waiting for me to let her in. When I go to let her in all h.e.l.l breaks loose Dame it to h.e.l.l. My stupid mate and that girl runs into my room and pushes the poor maid out the door as the girl locks the door she looks at me and says sorry about that by the way, my name is Chasity. My mate walks up to me and says my name is Eric mori and I really would like it if you would set your pretty little a.s.s down and talk to me for five f.u.c.king minutes, please!!

Well, dame. I look at my mate and say what do you want I thought me leaving your a.s.s in the wind you would have gotten the point I don't want to talk to you. By the way, my name is Nikki.
