A Week Later

1500 Hours. School Library.

Three students were sitting on the table in that library. Iris was away due to her failing the examination on Tuesday. They were waiting for her in that library. Lizeth was the only person that knew that everyone that was in the library was a contractor. At that point, Lynn could be a level 80 contractor. Clara might be a level 30 contractor.

"Iris. Where's she?" Clara asked.

"You know, the usual, failing an exam," Lynn said.

"She's not r.e.t.a.r.ded. She's only a little bit different," Lizeth said.

"Are you trying to say that she's an idiot?" Lynn asked.

"Mmm... Sort of. You see, last Thursday, she sold an AR-15 to an unknown person," Lizeth said.

"AR-15? That a.s.sault rifle?" Clara asked Lizeth.

"Yup. That friend of ours brought an a.s.sault rifle to the school inside her bag," Lizeth said and Lynn listened.

"Well, If she wants money, she will do anything won't she?" Lynn said.

"I agree with you Lynn," Clara said to her.

As usual, Lynn and Lizeth had coffee and Clara had tea in their mugs. The library was their club room after all since all of them were a librarian.

BRAKK.

Someone just slammed on the door. Lynn took a look and it was their seniors and some of their friends. Most of them were bullies that were extorting the club for protection money. Were they used to be afraid of Lizeth?

"Afternoon fellas," one of them said.

"Do you have the protection money?" The other person said.

Clara and Lizeth had already known that it would come into this, but Lynn, on the other hand, hadn't known about it yet. Whatever she carried, she was putting her hand inside her coat pocket.

Meanwhile, Lizeth and Clara were already grabbing their wallet for paying the protection money so the problem would be done without causing further complications for them.

"Sorry fellas, but I didn't bring any wallet for today," Lynn said to them.

"Don't worry, we will pay for her," Clara said as she grabbed some money from her wallet.

"Ah, It's ok, we ain't coming here for the money," Lizeth observed the threats.

Five students were carrying baseball bats, six were carrying bra.s.s knuckles, and three of them were carrying a bamboo sword. It looked like they were going to attack them.

"We're here to send a message."

Fourteen students with three of their seniors. Seventeen students were going to attack them and harm them. With PKP or MG5, it would be done quickly, but you couldn't use a machine gun to deal with school bullies. These guys were serious from the looks of it.

One of the seniors pulled a knife from her pocket and tried to stab Lynn, but she got stopped by Lynn's CQC skill. In a nutsh.e.l.l, she was disarmed.

"What kind of knife is this?" Lynn said as she took the knife from that senior's hand. The other seniors didn't dare to attack Lynn after seeing that, "Is this the knife from the cooking cla.s.s?" Lynn threw away that knife.

Clara and Lizeth looked on each other, both of them were holding back, unlike Lynn. Still, if Lynn was going to fight, they would help her. Lizeth was sure that Lynn and Clara concealed some kind of weaponry.

"Let me show you how to fight," Lynn grabbed that senior hands and threw her to the bookrack and knocked her out of the game.

'I just finished cleaning this library last week,' Lizeth observed that student who had pa.s.sed out from Lynn's throw.

Of course, action would result in an equal reaction. The other senior pulled a knife out of her pocket and ran towards Lynn. Lizeth looked at Clara who was pulling a baton outside of her pocket.

"Clara? Since when you're carrying a baton?" Lizeth asked her.

"Really? Then what is that thing that you're holding on your right hand?" Clara looked at Lizeth who was holding a baton on her right hand.

"Ok, let's go, let Lynn take care of the seniors while we're going to take care of the others," Lizeth and Clara extended their batons and they charged to the students who were watching their senior desperately fighting Lynn.

Lynn swung her baton to the knee of the student who was holding a bamboo sword and knocked her out with a smack on the back of her head. Clara choked one of the students by hitting the end of her baton to that student's neck.

Lynn finished beating up her seniors and saw two of her friends were literally disabling their attackers one by one. It made Lynn wondered whether Lizeth was an ordinary person or not. Clara was expected, but Lynn wasn't.

"Duh, let me join in will ya?" Lynn grabbed her baton and started beating up the attackers.

Their movement was efficient and deadly, the kendo club members who were rented by the bullies knew that they were holding back. Their movement was designed to kill, not to disable, that was the main reason why the kendo club thought that. They were putting their defensive stance with their bamboo sword.

Lynn ran towards them and smashed that bamboo sword to bits, "Good stance, but useless," she said as she hit the torso of that student with her baton. The last student that was holding a bamboo sword was peeing in her pants before Clara slammed her to the ground with her baton. Lizeth was dealing with the goons that were trying to attack her with bra.s.s knuckles.

Lizeth hit her hands and she screamed in pain, "Bad choice of weapon sweetheart," she kicked her crotch and tackled her with her baton. Clara looked at the other students who were s.h.i.+vering in fear as their aces were knocked out by three of them.

They proceeded to beat the c.r.a.p out of the students that were trying to attack them. The real threats were the seniors and the kendo club members, the rest of them were punching bags for Lizeth, Clara, and Lynn.

"d.a.m.n," Lynn looked at the students who were laying on the ground in pain. The only student that pa.s.sed out was the one that Lynn threw to the bookrack. The others were disabled by Clara and Lizeth.

"Who are you?" Lizeth approached Lynn.

"Me?" Lynn asked.

"Yes."

"I was a martial artist back in my old school. Is it that hard to be believed?" Lynn asked Lizeth.

"Clara, Where did you learn that?" Lizeth asked her.

"I was taught by my father to defend myself hehe," she said.

"Oh, ok," Lizeth said and Lynn asked her the same question more or less.

"Where did you learn how to use a baton?" Clara asked Lizeth.

"Mmmmmm," Lizeth had a hard time to answer that, but the next problem came in. It was a blitz from a camera. All of them noticed that it was from the newspaper club member camera. She caught them with their pants down, she photographed three of them standing between the students that were laying down in pain.

If someone looked at that picture, they would think that they beat up the "Innocent" students in that school. The picture needed to be deleted immediately.

"OY!" Lynn shouted in that direction. Lizeth put her baton in her pocket and gave a chase to that newspaper club member that was running.

"STOP!" Lizeth went running after her. She was smart, she threw chairs

that was in the corridor to obstruct her.

The girl kept running until she reached the building where the newspaper club was located. The student locked the door behind her. The newspaper club room was locked. Lynn called her.

Lynn: "Hi. Just wondering. Did you get her yet? We're done moving the wounded students to the infirmary. The teacher acknowledged that we're doing it in self-defense."

Lizeth: "That was fast."

Lynn: "Clara helped me."

Lizeth: "Well, I guess the students will think that we attacked first."

Lynn: "Why?"

Lizeth: "Because it sounds better that way."

Lizeth closed the phone and knocked on the door of that newspaper club room. Knocking meant kicking and punching that door until the person inside of that room decided to open that door.

"OPEN THE G.o.dd.a.m.n DOOR!" Lizeth shouted.

"The headlines for tomorrow will be, "The Library Club Turned Violent." It will cause quite a ride don't you think?" A voice said from the other side of the door.

"OPEN THE DOOR!" Lizeth shouted again. She put her ear to the door and heard the conversation between the club members.

"Hmm, nice. Those misfits will be expelled right?"

"Yeah. Except for Iris."

"Iris is one of us isn't she?"

"I'm not so sure about that."

"The bottom line is three of them will be expelled. At least our senior is smart enough to attack them when Iris isn't there."

"s.h.i.+t," Lizeth gave one last kick to that door. She left the door furiously. She needed to do something about that picture. It mustn't enter the headlines. She had an emergency plan. She would infiltrate the newspaper club that night. It was the only way to save her reputation with a minimal amount of damage done.
