X-ray: "Yup. We spotted them three kilometers from here and they engaged us with their cannons."
Lima: "How many of them?"
X-ray: "Probably two companies. One tank company and one mechanized infantry company."
Lima: "Well, d.a.m.n."
Lima closed the communication as all of the contractors ran outside of the house and met with the tanks that were standing by in front of that house. The cars that they used to go to that house had disappeared, maybe because it was desp.a.w.ned.
'f.u.c.k, we are heavily outnumbered,' Lynn thought as they got out of the house. Lizeth still had no idea about that, but she kept following Lynn's order as she trusted her.
However, Lizeth took the initiative to ask one of Homan team members, Kilo about the situation since she was an intelligence compiler and a.n.a.lyzer.
"Lynn said that we are being pursued by a tank company and a mechanized infantry company. Hmm, a gross estimate is around 12 tanks, 6 armored vehicles, and two utility vehicles at the worst situation," Kilo said calmly as Lynn was thinking hard on how to disable those vehicles and made sure that the tanks made out of this situation safely.
Lizeth: "Echo, This is Uber 4. Do you copy?"
Static and Painting.
"No reply. What should we do now? I know some of us to have resistance to bullets, but not APFSDS," Lizeth said to the others.
Lynn approached them and asked them to gather around. She formulated a very simple plan, but that plan required a lot of coordination from both of those teams since they were going to distract the armored vehicles long enough.
"Alpha, Bravo, Hotel, and Foxtrot. Go to your helicopters and provide us with air support that's our only chance," Lynn said as the people that Lynn's called grabbed their phone.
"We need 20 minutes at the very least to provide air support for you," Alpha said to Lynn, but Lynn didn't give a d.a.m.n. Air support was air support and she wasn't confident enough that the tanks that they had were adequate enough to fight twelve tanks at once.
Suddenly, four of them disappeared at the same time. Lizeth had no idea where they were going, but the others seemed to have an idea about it. Basically, they were teleported to their vehicles that were up in the air immediately once they pressed the b.u.t.ton. The only downside was that they chose a place that was far enough from them to be teleported.
Not stopping there, all of the personnel left were Lynn, Lizeth, Kilo, and Tango. Four of them were only able to carry four disposable anti-tank launchers at once. It was simply impossible to kill them all. They needed to avoid the tank company until air support came.
Even with the M1A2C Abrams with the TUSK kit and the Leopard 2A7 with its add-on hull armor didn't make Lynn felt more comfortable since all of those could be worthless when their opponents had the number. To make matter worse, they were fighting in an urban environment where every engagement was going to be head-on which meant that every APFSDS that every tank fired would not degrade in performance.
Not stopping there, Lynn wasn't meant to be offensive with Hitman 1, but Leopard was meant to be a defensive tank. Why? Their turret armor was practically nigh impenetrable, but their hull armor was thinner than the Abrams. Besides, they hadn't known the type of the tank yet.
Lynn: "Echo, this is Homan 4. Could you identify the tank?"
Serval: "Homan 4. I'm breaking radio silence. How the heck we have tanks coming after us?"
Lynn: "Serval, where are you?"
BOOM BOOM, a large explosion appeared in the north direction of the building. 'What the heck is that?' Lizeth gazed to the direction of the explosion.
Serval: "Sorry, that was my trap. What do you want to ask?"
Lynn: "What kind of tank is that?"
Serval: "T-72M. M for monkey, it's the same as the one that America encountered at operation Desert Storm."
Lynn: "Ok. We will move out. To all channel, I a.s.sume command until Echo is available."
Yankee: "Copy that."
Zulu: "Copy that."
X-ray: "Copy that. I'm done the counting. 10 tanks, 4 BMP. T-72M and BMP-2."
Zulu: "Shoot."
"Listen up closely ok. We must make sure that our tanks got out unscratched. We're up against an old tank, but never underestimate a tank," Lynn said as she sp.a.w.ned her FGM-148 Javelin.
They were in an urban residential area and as far as Lynn knew, the tanks hadn't found them yet, but they had the idea that they were in that area. It would be the most deadly game of hide and seek.
Lizeth, Tango, and Kilo sp.a.w.ned their anti-tank missiles. Lizeth used the same FGM-148 javelin. While Tango and Kilo used a Matador missile launcher. Their plan was simple really, in fact, it was the simplest plan that they could do. However, the execution was difficult.
[Objective: Survive]
"Ok, Kilo and Tango will escort Hitman 1. Your job is to distract the tank and armored vehicle units from spotting our tanks," Lynn pointed her hands at that two.
"So distracting a lot of trained military personnel? Sounds like a bad idea for me. I'm in," Tango said as her dog disappeared since she would be doing some stunts. The stunts will be jumping around from building to building while distracting the armored vehicle from the tank.
She might be vulnerable, but she was also a very small target compared to the tanks. She also had the element of surprise with Tango.
X-ray: "Well guys. We have bad news. The armored vehicles are making a roadblock and the tanks were scattered to search for you guys."
Lynn: "Does the tank come with infantry support?"
X-ray: "Yes."
Lynn: "How great..."
"So what's the deal now?" Lizeth asked.
"We will be a distraction for the tanks. Basically, we're going to shoot the tanks that are searching for us and hope that they are shooting at us," Lynn said as she climbed to the top of Hitman 2's tank. Lizeth also climbed to the top of that tank.
"So a suicide basically?" Lizeth asked her.
"Yup," the tank moved out of that house complex.
Lima: "Hey, mind if you become our eyes? Serval."
Serval: "Sure, but I'm laying anti-tank mines around my place now. I can't see anything besides the target that I'm going to engage."
Lima: "Ray, are you up there?"
X-ray: "Sort of. I can tell you that they are coming in your direction. I only can take a peek before I have to move to another building."
Lima: "Do it."
X-ray: "Let me see. Two T-72Ms coming from your front. Engage them. [Explosion Noise] f.u.c.k. I have to move again. See you soon."
Lima: "Hear that Hitman 1? Time to jump from this tank Lynx."
Lynn and Lizeth jumped from the tank with the Javelin on their backs. The tank rolled down the streets at full speed. X-ray was right because on they jumped, The Abrams immediately fired a round at a target in front of them.
"Showtime Lynx!" Lynn ran to the nearby building.
