A few moments before the angel Lerian died, two silhouettes were standing on top of what seemed to be a mountain made of fire, the highest peak of h.e.l.l Mountain.
"Cortana, it seems my time has come... can you feel it?"
"Yes, Demon G.o.d"
The man with longblack hair and two flaming horns growing on both his shoulders laughed at the reply.
"Haha! So I guess it really is time"
"Yes, Demon G.o.d"
The beautiful woman replied the same thing she has been replying since their conversation started.
"Are you... sad?"
Hearing this question, the beautiful woman hesitated to answer, tears almost falling down on her face, but before they could fall... she closed her eyes.
"Yes, Demon G.o.d"
They continued on in silence for awhile until the beautiful woman asked the Demon G.o.d a question.
"Have you chosen a vessel yet?"
"No, of course not... I.. with everything that I have done.. I do not deserve a second chance."
While saying this, the Demon G.o.d's flames started to wither.
"It's time... I always knew you were the one that's going to send me to my death, but not like this. Haha! I can't imagine the faces of your people if they see us together!"
The beautiful woman remained in silence and didn't bother to answer the Demon G.o.d's remarks.
Knowing that he won't get a reply from the beautiful woman, the Demon G.o.d just smiled and looked at the Horizon as his flames grew weaker and weaker.
Feeling his life drifting away, the Demon G.o.d closed his eyes and decided to let his body drift to the bottom of the mountain. But before his body could even fall, he felt something warm hugging his body from behind.
Warmer than the flames that once used to light up his life. Feeling this warmth, the Demon G.o.d's eyes remained close and he smiled. They stayed like this for a minute before the Demon G.o.d opened his mouth.
"...Cortana.."
"....."
"Goodbye, Hero of Freiden... take care of our people... and...I..."
"...."
"I love you"
Hearing the Demon G.o.d's feelings, Cortana couldn't help but shout,
"NO! You do not get to say that! After all of these years, the world needs to understand what you have done for them! These people owe you, not me! I am just a fake hero!"
"..."
"Please... this world needs you"
"..."
The Demon G.o.d can feel a hint of cold streaming down from his back. He knew what this feeling was but he couldn't say anything. Cortana's tears were falling down from her face.
"How could you?! How could you just leave?!"
"..."
"I... I need you.."
"..."
"Please... please don't leave me"
As Cortana continued to cry, the warmth that filled her embraced suddenly disappeared. Just like that, the Demon G.o.d is gone.
"Farewell, Demon Go-... Farewell, my love."
