Evan cried silently on Aeins.h.i.+a's shoulder. He never let anyone see his tears. They were the symbol of his hurt, pain and longing. And he wanted these emotions to be well hidden.

Aeins.h.i.+a on the other hand, didnt question her love. she just let her man pour his heart out. She knew that Evan was hurting. That was the very reason, he shut people out.

That was the very reason, even though he loved her, he pushed her away in the past life.

Though, she couldn't understand his situation fully, she became a shoulder for Evan to cry on. She doesn't know if Evan, will face her next day, due to all this, but right now, she can't be anywhere else, but here. With the love of her life. The love for her life.

While this night bought sweet memories for the lovers, it bought anxiety and restlessness in other.

Somewhere deep inside the woods:

The woman, along with her followers, who were standing behind her in concentric semicircles, bowed down to the person in front of her.

As soon as, their leader bowed, rest of the people also fell to their knees and bowed their heads low.

The person infront of them looked unamused. The leader, slowly looked up, but still on her knees. She saw the expression on the person's face, which was unreadable.

The woman gulped down thickly, this kind of expression is not good. Well, it is very bad. She was afraid of the consequences, now.

So, before the situation went put of her hand, the woman once again bowed down, her head remaining in that place. As she spoke "My highness, I apologize for the inconvenience caused."

The person in front of her, didnt change their expression. Their deep dark eyes was well hidden by the darkness. But, the gaze was so piercing, that the woman kneeling before them was feeling it clearly.

"Rise" the person commanded in authoritative tone, which sent cold tingles down the woman's spine. She lifted her upper body, her head still down, not making eye contact with the person.

The woman knew, one look into the person's means her death, along with her troop.

"Explain."

That one word was enough for the woman to tumble down all the words.

"We covered everything well. Even erased all the evidences and were successful in diverting their attention. We are going well according to the plan." the woman tumbled the words. Some were unclear and she stuttered a lot, while talking.

The person before clicked their tongue making a 'tch' sound. Clearly showing their discomfort and irritation.

"Finding the letter was also the part of the plan?" the person asked.

The woman turned back and glared at a guard, who was covering from her eyes and was staring at the ground. Yet, the woman's glare was strong.

The person's approaching footsteps towards her, made her to immediately to look in front of her.

The person was wearing a long black cloak, with a hood covering their face. The long cloak was dragging behind the person, as they walked.

The darkness was perfectly moulded around the person, hiding the person's ident.i.ty perfectly. But, also giving a dangerous vibe. It was as if, the person was literally emitting authority, instilling fear in the people all around them.

The woman was now, trembling. The person stepped directly in front of her, so the woman's bowed down eyes can see the s.h.i.+ny shoes, which were almost s.h.i.+ning the moonlight.

"Kathy." the figure spoke out, voice still stern.

The woman below the person slowly lifted up her head and looked up to face the person. But, her view was only.limited to the chin of the person. The rest of the face was hidden under the dark hood of the cloak.

"I expected better." there was change in tone of the person's voice.

It was disappointed, angered, but there was slight hint of concern too in that. The woman, Kathy, slowly dropped her head down, unable to face the person in front.

The person was someone very dear to Kathy. One, that she owed her life. One, whose word she cant deny for anything in this world.

So, now, such words were hurting her to no end. She was feeling ashamed of herself that she failed her loved one. No, she is going to make it right.

"My highness, we will continue our work more diligently from now." Kathy slowly spoke. She was careful with her words, because she knew any words can change the mood of the person before her.

And right now, she was not ready to face the person's wrath. It was something that wouldn't be so beautiful or is the scene to see. There was simply no room for any mistake.

The person crouched down to Kathy's height and was now face to face with her. Kathy sensed this, but wasn't ready to look up in their face. The person let put a small smile, which went unnoticed by Kathy.

The person suddenly gripped her chin tightly, which made Kathy's face jerk up and her eyes were filled with fear. The person smirked, seeing the fear on her face. "Thats what people should when they are at my mercy" the person thought.

The person's expression changed from amus.e.m.e.nt to deadly serious, in almost blink of the eyes.

"Mistakes are expensive, darling."

The person harshly spit out, while releasing Kathy's chin roughly, making her fall on her side.

The person turned back and began to walk into the deepest darkness of the forest, but slowed down their steps, but not completely stopping.

"And there better be no mistakes, now" the person said and came to a complete stop, back still facing the crowd of people.

Kathy bowed down again, her body under surrender to the back facing person. Her small, but powerful group of people, also reciprocated the gesture towards the unknown authority, that they never saw.

Among the crowd, there was a woman, who was peeking at the figure, whose side was to her. The face of the person was thouroughly covered with dark hood, but she was still trying to catch a glimpse of anything that belonged to the person. Any glimpse that can work as identification of that person.

Well, they say, curiosity killed the cat.

And that's what happened, a dagger suddenly, came flinging in the woman's direction. Within a spilt second, the dagger was buried into the woman's throat and blood spilled like fountain around her surroundings.

The woman's body went still and slumped on the dirt. Blood was pooling at the base of neck and was wetting all her clothes. Her eyes were lifeless and just like that, she was dead.

Everyone around the woman, were startled by the sudden whish of the weapon and all of them, like puppets, turned their heads at the same time, to see the person who did this.

The person covered in the black had a hand stretched out in front, meaning they were the one, who threw the small dagger at the woman.

Everyone thickly gulped down, when they realized what happened and now, they got a clear picture of what happens when they mess up with their missions.

Kathy had her eyes wide, when she saw one of her people were killed. But, she quickly recovered and faced to the front, glancing up at the dark figure.

"Don't ever mess up." the voice boomed out in low, cold tone, cutting the thick silence of fear.

Some people glanced at the woman's body, pity and fear swimming in everyone's eyes. "If only she did not leave the evidence" almost everyone had the similar thought.

The killed woman was the one, who a.s.sa.s.sinated the Marques of Seazle empire, Samuel. She was also the person who collected all the letters sent to the man, but unfortunately, she left one, which was now in the Royal Palace.

The figure resumed its walking into the deep dark forest. The person's words, which they spoke, more like growled out, before diappearing into the forest, were still hanging heavy in the air, inducing fear into every person present there,

"Beware."
