"Good morning. I see everyone's here." Li Chuntao said with an impa.s.sive face. "Please let me re-introduce myself again. I'm Li Xiuying. I'm the niece of the owner of this place." 

Yes, this villa was privately owned by her Uncle Yuren and only a couple of people were aware of the existence of this place. When she was younger, Li Chuntao spent a lot of time here far from everyone's prying eyes in the capital. This was why Li Xiuying was more popular and known to the public compared to her. She chose seclusion over socializing with people she barely knew. 

The man straightened his pose and looked seriously upon hearing her name. He wiped his hands on his ap.r.o.n and stood next to his sister stiffly. Yu Lou excused herself to get something to drink for Li Chuntao.

"I'm Meng Huan and this is my younger sister, Meng Lan. May we know what brings you here, Miss Li?" The man introduced himself and didn't beat around the bush and asked Li Chuntao's purpose for her sudden visitation. 

Li Chuntao nodded slightly and gestured for them to take a seat, which the Meng siblings did, taking the little boy with them. However, the boy struggled in Meng Huan's hold, so he let the child continue to play to where they could see him.

Li Chuntao pulled out a photo from her handbag and placed it on top of the coffee table between them. She was apprehensive of the siblings' reaction if they saw Gu Changge. 

"I believe you know who this woman is," she said, paying attention to the Meng sibling's reaction. 

It was Meng Lan who grabbed the photo from the table to give it a good look. She couldn't believe what she was seeing right then. 

"Brother, look! It's your wife!" She said with astonishment. It was her sister-in-law whom they hadn't seen and heard from in years!

"It's Changge?" Meng Huan s.n.a.t.c.hed the photo from his sister's hand and she saw a beautiful woman wearing a red evening dress and expensive jewelry. "It's… it's really her," he muttered in disbelief. 

It was the same woman he'd married years ago. The same woman who abandoned him and their son to seek her dreams at the capital. He'd never thought that Gu Changge, his wife would even cast out their own child for her own selfish needs. 

The rage in his heart when he found out she was living well at the capital, turning her back on the life she left at their village, Meng Huan wanted nothing more but to completely cut ties between the two of them. 

"So you really know her…" Li Chuntao cupped her chin with her legs still crossed, making her look like a queen, regally sitting on her throne. 

"Yes, Miss Li. We know who this woman is. This is my sister-in-law, Gu Changge but… what does she have to do with all of these?" Meng Lan questioned her. 

Li Chuntao remained silent for a moment before she took a deep sigh and stood back on her feet. She crossed her arms over her chest and looked at the looming gray clouds up in the sky. 

"Miss Gu… she's my husband's lover," She informed the Meng siblings, shocking them down to their core. They both opened their mouths to ask her questions but none came out as they couldn't find the right words in their minds. 

Indeed, they knew Gu Changge was doing well in the city because Meng Lan once saw an advertis.e.m.e.nt with Gu Changge in it, but they've never thought she'd cross the line by sleeping with married men to get her way in the entertainment industry. 

They looked at Li Chuntao, perplexed and feeling bad for her. Miss Li had taken them out from that village and saved Ling Ling's life but they had no idea that one of their family members had caused grievances to her heart. 

They felt bad for her but how could she help the family of the person who tried to ruin her marriage? They couldn't understand it. Miss Li should have taken advantage of them and used them to destroy Gu Changge but why didn't she? 

"Miss Li, what do you want me to do? Do you want me to call her out for her affair?" Meng Huan asked her. After all, he was still Gu Changge's husband, and her having an extramarital affair with another man had put a green hat over his head. 

Finding out about the offenses his wife had committed over the years was disappointing. Meng Huan initially thought that if she didn't want them anymore, he would allow her to live her own life as long as she wouldn't abandon their son but what did she do? 

Not only had Gu Changge denied Ling Ling of a mother figure in his life, but she also tried to trample someone else's marriage. 

Li Chuntao shook her head and smiled pitifully. She looked like a wife who'd just lost everything and was helpless about her situation. She was so beautiful and selfless, how could her husband abandon her for Gu Changge? This, Meng Lan couldn't understand.

So even if you are the most beautiful and wealthiest woman on the block, you couldn't hold a candle if the woman charmed your man? This was ridiculous! 

"Please, Mr. Meng. I didn't bring you here to do such a thing. I would never ask you to put yourself in a compromising situation just to help me." She gave him a small smile and went back to her seat. 

"I just want to confirm this as I'm already thinking of divorcing my husband. You see, his affair not only affected my marriage, but also the whole company. You don't need to do anything for me." 

Meng Huan contemplated for a while about how much he and Gu Changge owed Li Xiuying and felt guilty discussing his wife's affair with her husband. What was he supposed to do? 

Li Chuntao lowered her head and laughed inwardly. She knew the conflicting emotions that were swirling inside him, but she didn't want to clear any of it. It wasn't lost to her how he sighed dejectedly and felt incredibly guilty for Ying. 

However, she appeared to look guiltier than any of them. 

"It's my fault. I was lacking something, so my husband left me… If he'd known about our child, I wonder if he would do this to me." Li Chuntao said using her gentlest tone, almost perfectly imitating her twin sister's voice. 

Her words felt like stabbing knives on Meng Huang and Meng Lan. She was pregnant? 

"M-miss!" Meng Lan gasped. This was getting out of their hands! 

Meng Huan saw the way Li Chuntao fidgetted and it made it hard for him to take all this information at once. While he was feeling grateful for Li Xiuying's kindness and grat.i.tude, he felt incredibly guilty that it was getting hard for him to face her right now. 

"Initially, I wanted to use you against her. To let everyone know that she has a husband somewhere but when I heard about your child's illness, I felt sick and disgusted with myself. I question myself, would I allow this child to face humiliation in the future because of a selfish thing I've done against his mother?" She pretended to look guilty, ashamed of what she almost did. "I realized now, he might have left me because I'm a bad person,"
