"Do you understand now? You aren't welcome here anymore. We all love Ying, I don't know anyone who would hate her, except maybe your mistress? The damages you have inflicted on her is enough. If you dare to disturb her again, I swear, Mu Jianyu. I will destroy you myself." Shen Zichen threatened him. 

Mu Jianyu was at loss for words, not knowing what to say in defense. 

"Neither Ying nor the Li family wanted to see you now, so you better f.u.c.k off and go back to your wh.o.r.e. Isn't this what you've always wanted?" 

With those words, Shen Zichen walked pa.s.s him, b.u.mping his shoulder in the process. Before he went inside the elevator, he reminded Su Ling and Song Zexi not to allow Mu Jianyu to see Li Xiuying. 

Mu Jianyu was left alone outside as Su Ling and Song Zexi closed the main door and ignored his presence. He was rooted in the same spot Shen Zichen left him. 

"I say he deserved that punch," Su Ling told Song Zexi once they're inside the penthouse. Seeing Mu Jianyu being punched by Young Master Shen was so satisfying that he couldn't wait to report it to their Miss Chuntao. "I hope we won't be causing any trouble for Miss Ying in the future," he added. 

"Master Yuren and Miss Chuntao wouldn't allow him." Song Zexi a.s.sured him. Even if Mu Jianyu realized now the sins he had committed, Li Xiuying would never accept him back. Only a woman with no self-respect would allow her to accept a cheating sc.u.mbag back in her life. 

Su Ling sighed and said, "I hope you are right. I don't want to see her crying again." 

He bid her goodnight as he went back to the control room to check the surveillance cameras, leaving Song Zexi standing in the middle of the living room, knowing that Mu Jianyu was still outside.

"I sure hope so," Song Zexi gave a last look on her miss's door before retiring for the night.

It took some time for Mu Jianyu to break out of his daze and leave the Li twins' penthouse. Instead of going to Lin Meirong's place, he drove back to the apartment he shared with Li Xiuying. He'd already lost track of time and didn't care about the curious pa.s.serby that had seen his poor condition.

Forgotten memories flood his mind as he stepped inside, seeing that it was the same as the last time he was here. 

However, while the place he shared with his wife remained the same, it couldn't be said to the marriage he single-handedly destroyed. 

Mu Jianyu kept the lights off and sat on the couch and lowered his head. Just like what Shen Zichen had told him, he was the definition of a loser who let Li Xiuying go. 

"Ying…" 

He had thought that he was ready for this, ready to divorce her but how come in the end, he felt empty and useless without Ying by his side? 

For months, he believed that his wife was oblivious to his needs and was not aware of his unhappiness when in fact he was the blind one who couldn't see the inner battle she was constantly fighting alone. 

A woman like Li Xiuying certainly wouldn't miss the sudden change in his behavior. He made her suffer and had accused her unfairly of being the one who was turning her back on him. 

The guilt had started to eat him from the inside. The face of his crying wife flashed in his mind. 

"Stupid," He blamed himself. 

Wasn't he the one who forgot his promises to her? 

"So stupid," 

Wasn't he the one who took another woman and ignored Li Xiuying all this time?

A fool that continued to play with fire and impregnated his other woman? Did Li Xiuying also know about this? If she knew, he could only a.s.sume how devastated she was when she heard the news.

Mu Jianyu shut his eyes close and was swept away by his own emotional turmoil. He was reminded of his love for Li Xiuying but with Lin Meirong carrying his child, he also knew he cannot abandon her.

The whole night, he tried to sort out his thoughts and wondered how he could fix the problem he made. When Shen Zichen confronted him, he was at loss for words. He couldn't even deny the affair he had with Lin Meirong. 

He had to do something! He cannot lose Li Xiuying just yet! 

Lin Meirong might have given him a child but losing Li Xiuying also meant that he would be vulnerable and powerless against the Li family if they decided to target him. 

All of Li Xiuying's questions started to make sense to him now. 

'You want us to divorce?'

'But why?'
