I sat upright to see my robe laying on the floor where I left it. The sheets covered my naked body. Since I was in my state of mind, I didn't want anyone to walk on me. So, I rushed towards my robe and wrapped in around myself before heading out of the room. I poked my head outside in the silent corridor. There was n.o.body I could spot. I retraced my steps to the ma.s.sage room and found my bag. There was n.o.body to be seen around. I didn't want to wait in the ma.s.sage room, so I trotted back to the bedroom and decided to wait for Amaan or one of her helpers.
While I was walking back, all I could think was what I did last night. But I couldn't decide if I was happy or conflicted. I did like it, and we were in a dry spell for so long that any sort of attention to my s.e.x life would trigger it. Besides I had done nothing with another individual, so I was safe and still loyal to Mad.
I entered the room with the thoughts of yesternight in my mind when I desired a change of clothes. At first, I thought of donning some of Amaan's clothes for a dress. But then I remembered my stumbling across to her fetishes. I closed my eyes in shame and unzipped my bag. As I thought, I had my crumpled dress I stuffed in it prior to ma.s.sage, a fresh pair of undies, and the stuffed newspaper Mad had given to me before she left.
I stripped out of the robe once again but covered myself with my dress rather than going to bed. as I bent to zip up my hand bag, I saw the lump of paper once again.
How could this bundle of paper be useful in my defense, I asked myself.
My curiosity hit peek and I unwrapped to find what it housed in its center. I felt like a kid on Christmas Eve. Finally, after removing six layers I could see s.h.i.+ning bronze metal. It was slim, but heavy. On the end, a glazing blade.
Mad had given me a rampuri knife.
I didn't want to jump into my nightmares once again, but even in the past this object had been a friend to me. I trusted Mad, I trusted her gift, so I put it back in the bag and zipped it. I flung the bag across my shoulders and sat on the bed. I thought if I sat duck and did nothing, someone would walk up on me and let me know what to do next. I mean, I didn't want to open Amaan's dungeon by mistake.
The last part gave me a chuckle. I laughed at my own joke, which made me happy. It had been too long that I had done that and had a hearty appreciation for my terrible sense of humor. But it also made me sad, because Mad used to laugh at my jokes with me. But in her absence, I was a loner sitting in an empty room making jokes to humor myself.
I let that feeling of emptiness kick in before I jumped back on my feet. If Amaan wasn't going to find me, I'll find her. I knew she liked to be flamboyant, so I decided to use her trick and see how that felt. The bar in the room seemed to be the rotating bar that we saw from the outside. I looked around and saw the red b.u.t.ton under the bar. I touched it, but before I could press it, it started rotating. It was new wrecking, but also exciting. I thought Amaan was on the opposite side and could see me playing around with her bar. Instead, what I saw left me searching for breath.
I a.n.a.lyzed correctly that the rotating bar was the same that we saw from the outside, but on the opposite side wasn't Amaan. It was Mad sitting in the middle of two individuals.
On left sat a very beautiful man. He had feminine looks, but almost delicate to crumble. He had soft fingers, beautiful lips, but strong arms and stern green eyes. Wearing a black sweater over an orange s.h.i.+rt made him a treat for the eyes. I always thought I liked men with no beard, and this gentleman proved it.
On the right sat Priscilla.
The rotation completed, and I came face to face with my wife, who was just as shocked to see me as I was to see her. She put down her bag and stood up. Lifting her arms on either of her sides, she asked,
"What the h.e.l.l were you doing in her bedroom?"
I stepped off the rotating ramp and lost my ability to speak. I got my letters jumbles and let out the most awkward 'h.e.l.lO' out. All of them had different expressions on their faces. Where Mad was, well, mad and angry, Priscilla had a smug smile on her face, and the gentleman was sitting stoically.
"Kyo, what were you doing- "
The bar behind me rotated once again and I turned to see Amaan in her white robe. She had the same expression of surprise on seeing me as I had when I saw the Three's company sitting at the bar.
"Oh, well. There she is," Amaan said while pointing at me.
Mad threw her arms down and said, "You said she was sleeping."
Amaan crossed her arms before speaking, "Well, she was. She was sleeping my room. I just didn't know she had woken up."
Mad turned to me again, looked at me with solid eyes and asked, "Nothing happened, right? You two slept in different rooms?"
I turned the gears on in my brain and nodded my head while smiling stupidly.
"As I said, I gave Kiyomi my room, and slept in different room last night. You have nothing to fear, Madonna. I didn't give that detail when we talked and I apologize about that," Amaan covered me for the last night. It was clear she didn't want me to get into any kind of trouble. Either that or she wanted me under her favor. Either way, I knew I'd live because the expressions on Mad's muscles relaxed, and her expressions softened.
She walked over towards the back of the bar and gave me a tight hug. The chilly winter outside had made her ears icy. I hugged her back and breathed slightly on her ears to warm them up. Mad snuggled her head into me and rubbed her nose a few times in my dress. I knew I had my wife back into my arms, and this feeling of holding her was the most precious to me.
"When did you come back?" I asked.
"Not long ago. We just sat near the bar when I wanted to see you. G.o.d, it seemed like years have pa.s.sed."
"Mad, it was one night. And that night has pa.s.sed. You're in my arms again. Cheer up darling."
Madonna looked at me with wet eyes. Her innocent smile was that of a child. I smiled back at her to recognize her love and care for me.
"I didn't come here for this, you know."
Across the bar I heard a sharp tongue interjecting our reunion. It was from the man in black, looking directly at us with a piercing glare. He wrapped his hands around each other and said, "You called me to repay your favor. But that didn't include me dealing with this emotional melodrama in front of me- The man was looking at us, and then looked across the bar at Amaan, "-Professor, you still haven't changed."
Amaan opened a bottle of beer and took a large swig before separating herself from the liquor. Then, she looked at the man and said, "It's all included in one. It's a packaged deal, and you knew it would come. So, you will have to deal with this skins.h.i.+p while you're here, Brad.
I racked my brain and remembered this was the person Mad went to Pokhra for. He was the mission. The one condition Amaan posted. And he was crucial to the story.
Brad Witman.
Except the name I didn't know anything about him.
How would this affect the whole situation?
Who would be the one taking a loss?
Why was this one person's presence a demand for Amaan?
Was I eager to know her link with Mad?
Was I even ready?
"Let's not get hasty, s.l.u.tty professor. I still have that piece of iron I generously bashed 'Mrs. Forgive Me' here. If I see a lick of touching that's more than a handshake, your another knee would be paste, Madonna."
Priscilla's declaration shut everyone up in the room.
