"Please don't die Mila! I promise that if you stay alive I'll stop calling you a b.i.t.c.h! So stay alive b.i.t.c.h!"

If you're going to stop calling me a b.i.t.c.h then please enfore your promise Jacia. Fuzz came out of my mouth as my eyes spun. Jacia continued to shake me on my bed as Daniella and Clarabella stayed by my side nursing me to health. Lutious stood at my room door with tears in his eyes. He then said.

"Stop hurting Miss Mila you stupid woman!"

Jacia's neck cracked as she quickly turned to look at Lutious with a glare.

"Child, if you still want your arms to be connected to your body, then please shut up."

Lutious covered his mouth as he nodded. My head spun from the pain as I felt nausea. my body ached as a fever ravaged across my whole body. Lord above this wasn't some regular flu or cold. What the h.e.l.l is this? I turned to see my room full of my crew members. I sat up quickly as I pushed Jacia away.

"All of you get out of this room right now! If you stay here you will contract what I have! Leave now!"

A warm liquid leaked from my mouth as I coughed red onto my bed. My crew members rushed to my side as my body shook with the coughs. Holy f.u.c.k this has got to be the worst sickness that I have ever had in my entire life. For some reason as I coughed I remembered the conversation between Baron and I regarding the trials rumored to occur with a trip to the Bermuda Triangle. I pushed my crew members away. If this disease spreads anymore then there will be great casualties among the rest of the crew. Zarfia spoke out to say.

"Miss Mila we only care about your wellbeing."

I noddded as I coughed out another splatter of blood. Lord Jesus I am literally on the brink of motherf.u.c.king death. I turned to Zarfia and said.

"Is there anyone on the s.h.i.+p with similar symptoms?"

Zarfia looked at me in confusion before saying.

"What are "symptoms" Miss Mila?"

I slapped my forehead. Why am I such a dumba.s.s? These people are from the late 16th century, of course they wouldnt know words like "symptoms".

I waved my hand dismissively as I said.

"Zarfia, is there anyone else coughing blood like me?"

Zarfia shook her head as I blew out in relief. Thank G.o.d. If I'm the only person sick then I can quarantine myself and get better in order to avoid getting anyone else sick. With this in mind I can prevent the spread and also a.s.sure my quick recovery. I looked at my crew members.

"I do not want anyone to enter this room anymore. If you have food or treatment to give me you must enter with a towel covering your mouth quickly. Then you must rinse your hands. Do I make myself clear?"

My crew members nodded before Jacia said.

"Why are we supposed to cover our mouths?"

I coughed once more before answering,

"Because in that way you can protect yourselves from getting sick from me. Now all of you stop talking and leave me!"

My crew members and the n.o.blewomen nodded before closing the door behind me. I covered myself with the thin bedsheet covers as I s.h.i.+vered. My hot breath ticklng my hands as my body burned. It felt like someone had thrown me into the deepest pit of h.e.l.l. The dream of my mother feeding me soup was still fresh in my mind as I felt my body shake with pain. I then continued to cough out crimson. My breathing started to slow down as I felt my consciousness slip away. The sound of the door to my room creaking open filled my ears as I closed my eyes. I felt a cool hand caress my right cheek as the covers got pulled off. I then felt a soft kiss on my forehead as I heard a voice whisper.

"I don't mind getting your disease if it means that I can nurse you back to health. Don't worry, your husband is here by your side."

A feeling of comfort filled me as I drifted into a deep sleep. The cool hand continued to caress my cheek for the rest of the night as I drifted in and out of fever tremors.
