Sleeping Next To The Pirate King 65 Ramen In The Cold

I moaned in pleasure as the stiff noodles entered my mouth. The sound of slurping filled the ramen place as my friends and I used our chopsticks. The coat around my shoulders warming me as the chilly air from outside chilled my bones. The succulent chicken pieces, fresh leek, crunchy nori, and sweet soy sauce mixed with every dip to ignite my lacking taste buds. I felt a napkin on the edge of my mouth. I turned to see my boyfriend Luke chuckle as he wiped the edge of my mouth. I smiled with my puffed mouth filled with ramen.

Luke is my second boyfriend and is way better than my junior high ex. As a high school senior, I had escaped the thought of having a boyfriend multiple times all through high school for the fear of falling behind on my studies. He truly cared about my wellbeing and never pushed me to do things that I don't want to. I was hesitant in dating him at first due to his flirtatious style, but after some time I had found myself falling for him. His blonde hair glistened along with his sparkly green eyes. He was more of the athletic type of jock. His heart is big despite his handsome and cold features. We still haven't kissed despite dating for three months. As his birthday present today, I hope to surprise him with a self-initiated kiss. Along with my best friends Daniel, Chloe, Rachel, Mai, and Varsha I had spent over ten hours of my free time watching high school movies in order to learn how to effectively sweep Luke with my kiss. My face flushed as I sipped the broth left at the bottom of my ramen bowl. I hiccupped as Luke chuckled and patted my head.

My best friends sat opposite to me with their boyfriends. Like always Rachel and her boyfriend Don bickered over Star Wars while Chloe and her boyfriend Raekel did their usual PDA. Varsha and her boyfriend sat quietly slurping their ramen. Mai and her boyfriend Artemis discussed anime as I listened to their heated Demon Slayer debate.

"Shut up Artemis! If Sabito was still alive he would be the strongest pillar!"

"You shut up Mai! Rengoku is way stronger, and Muichiro even more than that!"

I slurped the remaining of my noodles as I reflected on their conversation. In my personal opinion I think that Yuichiro is the strongest, but who am I to talk?

Ialso love anime which is a reason to why Mai and I are such good friends. We had met at our high school anime club which I had reluctantly joined. It was a decision which I do not regret to this day. I smiled as I watched Daniel laugh with his boyfriend Isaiah. The two of them had went through so much to be together. I was the only one in our group of friends which had supported them from day one. They both smiled as they looked back at me.

Luke lightly turned my face as he pinched my chin. He smirked as he said.

"Mila dear are you paying more attention to other people over your sweet boyfriend?"

I shook my head as Luke stretched my cheeks. I pouted as he melodically laughed.

"I pay enough attention to my boyfriend. I've actually canceled the math Olympiad contest today so that I could celebrate your birthday!"

Luke smiled. I loved the way that his eyes slightly wrinkled at the edges as dimples appear when he smiles. I blushed as my gaze s.h.i.+fted over to his lips. G.o.d above, I've been preparing for days yet I don't even know how I'm going to set the mood for his kiss. In my backpack at my side there was his present. Last week when we went to the mall I saw him peer at a watch in a department store. I worked overtime at my fabric store job for a week straight so that I could get him this watch.

I sighed. It costed me $200 after tax. Whatever. The way that he always supports me and looks at me so affectionately is worth all the effort in the world. I giggled as I looked at his clueless face. I wonder what his reaction would be after I kiss him and give him this gift.

After half an hour Luke and I stood outside the ramen shop as we waved at my group of friends who left. My heart beat quickened. It is now time. I turned to face Luke as he stared at the darkening sky with a glare. My face flushed. How the f.u.c.k am I supposed to create the mood now? Should I just hug him first and then kiss him? Or should I just kiss him quickly?

Luke turned and smiled as he leaned in and touched his forehead to mine.

"What's wrong Mila? Your face is all red! Do you feel feverish or anything?"

I shook my head as I backed away. s.h.i.+t! I should have kissed him then! I leaned back in and pulled him down by his coat collar. His eyes widened as he watched me close my eyes and tip toe to kiss him. Instead of the soft feel of lips I felt a hand cover my lips I opened my eyes to see Luke at me with his lips twisted upwards in a smirk. His eyes glowering at me. I backed up in shock.

"What's wrong Luke?"

Luke burst into laughter as he slapped his knee.

"I should be asking you that Mila! Where you seriously going to kiss me? An unexperienced b.i.t.c.h such as yourself?"
