Confusion filled me as I felt my heart drop to my toes. My hands tightening their grasp on the small watch gift. Luke wiped his tears from laughter as he looked at me with an expression that I had never seen before.

Disgust.

"Okay Mila. I have endured too much. The only reason that I've been enduring dating you was so that I could get revenge on my ex-girlfriend. Now that she's agreed to come back to me this morning I don't need to pretend with you anymore. I guess that we can just stop this whole dating thing-"

Luke's face turned as he spit blood. People walking by stopped and watched us in shock. My brown eyes glowed with anger as my right hand burned from slapping Luke. Did the f.u.c.ker just say what I thought he said?

"I'm sorry Luke but did you just say that you want to break up with me?"

Luke wiped the blood from his mouth in his sleeve as he glared at me.

"That's exactly what I said Mil-"

Luke coughed as I punched his gut hard. Tears fell down my cheeks as I felt my small fragile heart break into a million pieces. The first time that I had actually fallen for someone, they were the first to dump me. I chuckled as I backed away from the many slaps which I had given Luke. My knuckles and palm were red and bloodied as Luke sat on the ground coughing and wheezing in pain. I took the watch and raised my hand to throw it on his head but stopped. It would be better to return the watch to the department store and get my money back.

"Do you feel good Luke? Does it feel nice trampling over a girl's heart like this? Does it taste sweet? Oh wait I'm sorry my dear Luke. It must be tasting quite metallic as the only thing you're tasting now is the your blood."

Luke glared at me as the onlookers around us increased. My blood boiled as I watched his smirking foxy face smile while I was breaking down. Were all of those smiles, kind words, and touches fake? Did he really pretend to be nice to me? Or is he afraid of admitting the fact that he had actually fallen in love with me?

Luke roared out in laughter before saying.

"You really are a crazy and dumb b.i.t.c.h. Im glad that I've dumped your sorry a.s.s. Don't flatter yourself sweetheart. My ex is way hotter than a nerdy girl like you. Have you ever thought of it weird how someone as hot as me is with an ugly b.i.t.c.h like you?"

My fists shook as the watch box in my hand crushed along with my grasp on reality. I wasn't going to admit that I had wondered multiple times in a day about that fact. Now that I think about it the way that he had approached me by my locker seemed calculated and definitely with ulterior motive. I chuckled as I stepped forward and pushed an injured Luke on the cement sidewalk below.

I knelt on the ground in front of a bruised Luke as I whispered in his ear.

"Mother f.u.c.ker, the only reason that you are still alive is because of the fact that I don't want to spend the rest of my life in a prison. The fact that you have broken up with me after all the love that I have given you is quite ironic isn't it? I hope that you and your b.i.t.c.h could lead a happy rest of your lives. Goodbye a.s.shole."

I then kicked Luke in the gut before walking in the opposite direction towards the bus station. As I sat under the covered area, a downpour of rain started to fall. Tears fell down my cheeks as I walked out and sobbed under the rain. The only noise that could be heard in the empty bus station was the sound of my sobs and that of the pitter-pattering of the rain as it fell.

At that moment I vowed to myself that I will never ever fall in love with another mother f.u.c.ker again.

As I graduated high school I tended to see Luke and his girlfriend in the hallway. She's both prettier than me and is the cheerleader squad captain. When Luke and I's gazes would meet I would see the emotion of longing in his eyes before he turns away. Every time that that happens I would feel my heart be wounded anew. My grades had dropped slightly for the month after our breakup. Thanks to my friends and their boyfriends I was able to get back up from it and successfully graduate as Valedictorian of my high school. I was then accepted into multiple Ivy league Universities. Despite continuing on to college happily, the one vow that stayed with me was that I would never fall in love again. And that is why I had been single for the length of a year and a half.

I will never, ever, ever fall in love again.

Ever.
