Lu Xinyi was on the verge of tears, it felt like she was betrayed. Didn't he just confess his interest in her just a week ago?! How come the sweet gentlemen turn in to this...this man wh*re??

She felt insecurity and envy. The women who touched the body she hadn't even fully explored with her eyes.

There were women who he had touched him, the though burnt her skin. She felt rage, she wanted to go to his Mansion and demand answers.

Her eyes at once widened when they landed on her source of information, the man was unreliable, deceptive and cunning. Her eyes narrowed, he could be tricking her to make her go against Yu Youhan.

"You are lying! How dare you say something like that about a respectable and honourable man like Yu Youhan?! You can be struck by lightning for slandering such a man!"

"Either you don't know Yu Youhan or we aren't talking about the same man." Li Yuan observed the uncertainty emerge on her resolute features. Working! "Tsk...tsk...Have you been thinking about him all this time?" 

She hadn't been. Right? But why did it make her feel like her heart was drowning when she thought of another woman standing beside Yu Youhan? 

The picture of his returning home and looking for another woman made her feel a pang in her heart. Would he take another woman to places too? Would he kiss her hands too? Would he rest his head on her shoulder when he return home tired too? Would he...let her play his piano too? 

She felt her throat clog up with emotions. Why would he do that? She was his companion to do all that with! It was their thing...

But if there was another woman in his life then...

Her features hardened at once and she pointed her index finger at him, "Stop it! He was my friend and that's all. And he is a gentleman and you should not be spreading vile rumours about a man as pious as him!"

Li Yuan shook his head at her in pity, "Well, sorry to break it to you, Princess. Except you, everyone knows that. Besides I keep everyone whereabouts. So did you sleep with him thinking he was your prince charming?!"

Lu Xinyi felt like crying out laud. Li Yuan wasn't lying, it was written all over his face and she couldn't help the way the truth sliced through her heart.

She steeled her last shred of pride and shouted, "S...so what if I did, you are the last person who should talk about fidelity. Never the less I would rather roll in the sheets with him than any other man! He is a hundred times better than any man I have ever known!"

She didn't. Yu Yoauhna didn't touch her, it was more than evident. 

She was trying to hide her hurt and ache, but a poor girl! She was as transparent as a gla.s.s wall.

Li Yaun smirked at her ignorance, "That is because you don't even know him, foolish princess."

She was trying for him to drop the subject but he was revolving around it like the certain p.r.i.c.k in her side. She was trying to control the barrage of tears to not be a crying mess in front of this vile man who was being amused by her ache.

Li Yuan wasn't really getting entertained hurting her, he was just enjoying teasing the little girl who was trying to act brave.

The plus was that it was also extinguis.h.i.+ng if she had any hope for his cousin. His Cousin didn't need another innocent girl to mess with his head!

"You...You!" Lu Xinyi choked and wiped her tear harshly, she looked at her bully with rage and shouted, "Nevermind! It's useless to talk to the likes of you. I would rather leave as my motive has been achieved!"

Lu Xinyi didn't wait but rushed out. He saw her walking with trembling hurried steps and reconsider.

Did he overdo it? Li Yuan smirked with hollowness and shook his head. Nah...If his cousin brother was going to suffer the same ache, he was having. Then love was a poison he should help him steer away from.

Li Yuan sighed and rubbed his temples. It seemed he had many engagements written in his stars but there was a chipped star somewhere where his marriage should be written!

First his faux engagement with Su Qianwei, then his non-existent engagement with Lu Xinyi then his conned engagement with Lei Xinyi.

He was exhausted and depressed. Lei Xinyi was nowhere to be found, even when they had been on the tail of all the migrants 24/7.

He looked out of the window to the view of the busy rus.h.i.+ng city.

It looked like everyone's life was continuing just he was frozen still at the moment. Looking at the familiar face had just made him miss her more so he decided it was best to head home instead of the office where all he was going to do was miss her.

Lu Xinyi ran out fast on her heels till she reached the restroom, there she got in a cubicle and shut the door.

Her hardened facade at once broke and her tears fell, she didn't want this constricting feeling in her heart! 

She kept both her hands on her mouth to stifle her sobs. She mourned for the ache that was fathered by an anonymous emotion.

Why would it matter to her?! She wasn't his wife or girlfriend! She didn't want him!

He was wrong! Her relation with him was going to end up in debris and that's all but she couldn't help it.

The last couple of days when she stayed there he didn't return home. Did he go to his mistresses?! Were his Mistresses living with him now?!

She wanted to go to his Mansion and shout it out to him but...What if there was another woman there with him?! What if he tells her to leave as he told her to leave before?!

How would she survive that?

She cried till she was tired to cry no more and then left the cubicle. She washed her face and retouched her makeup.

n.o.body needs to know the turmoil going in her heart. She steeled her heart, no! She wanted freedom and no matter the price she will not depend on another man whole her life!

She shook her head and cleared her thought. She wasn't feeling these feelings because she liked him or something, it was because she was territorial.

Yes, it was because she was being replaced that was why she was feeling this. But Yu Youhan was a fleeting ent.i.ty and once she will find love in her life, she will forget about him.

Lu Xinyi nodded and patted her cheeks, "Yes, just give yourself time. Besides, the man is complicated and if at the end I was going to be stuck with a man who was...like that. What was the purpose of ditching that Li guy?!"

Lu Xinyi smiled satisfied at her convincing skills and left the bathroom with a hollow heart and chaotic mind.
