Liz could not believe her eyes and her ears.

Although Ares' shamelessness should not surprise her anymore.

'I would like most to cut off his tongue, so I never have to listen to his bullsh*t again! But right now I am the one who needs his support so restrain yourself Liz!' her inner voice instructed her.

"Still hungry?" Ares hook on.

"Not anymore, because a certain someone has spoiled my appet.i.te." Liz murmured to herself.

A l.u.s.ty smile spread to the corner of Ares' mouth.

"Is not it ironic that you have whetted my appet.i.te?" Ares remarked.

'Of course, because I was eating all your cookies right under your nose?'

Somewhat irritated Liz stared at Ares as if she was waiting for another explanation from him.

Seeing her confused made Ares very satisfied, as it is his favourite pastime to tease his fiancée.

His face slowly approached hers and he added, breathily:

"But not on something edible."

He then pointed his index finger at Liz in case she does not understand his message.

All too quickly Liz turned crimson red.

Soon after, Liz managed to get her composure back and snorted displeasingly:

"Oh, shut up."

"Then make me." Ares replied with a lascivious smile.

'How can someone be so shameless?'

Shaking her head, Liz turned her gaze back to Ares.

"Regarding your concern. No, I will not let you sell yourself as a slave. It is far too dangerous, and end of the discussion." he reprimands in a sharp tone and a frosty countenance.

'Holla the forest fairy should anyone understand this guy and his mood swings. One minute he is flirting with me and the next minute he is dead serious. You think you can stop me from helping Tommy and his family – no, from abolis.h.i.+ng slavery all over Mazeldovia. In your wildest dreams!'

Liz heaved a very deep sigh.

She knew there was only one way to convince this demon.

This method she herself is not quite comfortable with it.

But in desperate times one resorts to desperate methods.

"Big brother Ares, please. I will do whatever you want."

She pouted, gave him puppy-dog eyes and rattled her eyelashes wildly.

Inwardly she fought hard to suppress her gag reflex.

"I know what you have been up to Eleanor and you can put that right out of your mind." Ares yapped.

"Eh?" Liz pressed out in surprise with an innocent air.

'So, I made a fool of myself for nothing. Maybe if I keep up the act, I can still get ahead." she concluded.

"Look, Eleanor, I know you deeply care about Tommy and his family. But you can not possibly put your life on the line. That would be very reckless and life-weary. I will arrange private investigations and sooner or later we will seize all the slave traders." Ares placated Liz with a b.u.t.tery voice.

"No Ares you do not understand my point. I agree with your private investigations but this as a supplementary program because until all slave traders are caught, many victims will be claimed. My concern is to keep the number of victims as low as possible and that just requires daring. I say this not as Princess Eleanor of Margonia but as the future queen of Mazeldovia. It is my primary duty and my honor to protect my people from such misdeeds!" Liz spouted out ambitiously.

'That is my girl.' Ares thought.

"You really are incorrigible, Eleanor. I do not think that I can persuade you. After all, my little piglet is pig-headed." Ares teased Liz.

"But do not think that you are gonna go through this action all by yourself. I will accompany you and my men will support us undercoverly." Ares resumed.

"But how are you gonna – "

Ares cut her off.

"Everything has its time my dearest. I am glad that you confessed your feelings to me."

"Since when have I confessed my feelings to you?" Liz asked, slightly annoyed, and crossed her arms.

"You have admitted becoming my future queen. If that is not even a proposal."

Ares lifted his chin in a proud manner.

'Sometimes I seriously consider revealing his mask, so that he stops acting the role of the interested fiancé. But if I do that it will have devastating consequences for Margonia, Mazeldovia and me.'

Resigned, Liz jolted back to reality.

"By the way, you said earlier that you would do anything for me." Ares remarked with a dopey grin.

"The offer is overdue." Liz hastily retorted and averted his gaze.

"I honestly did not think that Princess Eleanor was not a woman of her word." he jokingly rebuked.

"Okay, what do you want?" pressed Liz out with clenched teeth and gave him a squeezed smile.

Ares stroked his chin thoughtfully with his thump and index finger, stood up and stretched out his hand to Liz.

"Grant me a dance, my queen." he bursts out with a lewd grin.

And this was the story of how Liz respectively Princess Eleanor came to dance with Ares once again.
