Damon, Maze and Margaret were the names of the rulers after which the three kingdoms have been named.

Unlike the other rulers before them they were not of royal lineage, instead they were determined by G.o.d.

Centuries ago their arrival were predicted through a prophecy, which stated that the chosen ones will bring a great change for the descendants.

Expecting that the great change that was referred was something good, everyone was thrilled and could only guess what kind of big change the chosen ones would bring upon their empire.

But never did they know how twisted these words might be, like a coin which has two sides.

The chosen ones used to be childhood friends and were as inseparable as glue.

However, jealousy and betrayal were the magic words which cut their ties, caused their tragic ending and a century long war between the kingdoms.

Indeed, the chosen ones brought a great change upon the empire.

"Scram!" yelled Maze out of his lungs and was about to throw things at the royal amba.s.sador.

The royal amba.s.sador was shaking all over his body and said with a trembling voice:

"Y-Your Highness I am simply just delivering the announcement that prince Damon of Demonia and princess Margaret of Margonia will soon be engaged. They thought as a childhood friend you had the right to know about it first."

"Hahaha, she will be engaged to him." laughed Maze madly.

"Tell me, why did she choose him?! Is he really more capable and handsome than me?!" asked Maze the royal amba.s.sador with a demanding undertone.

The royal amba.s.sador lowered his head and kept silent.

Though he did not agree neither denied what Maze was asking him, prince Maze took the silence as a confirmation.

At the next moment he pulled out his dagger and stabbed the royal amba.s.sador in the middle of heart.

Prince Maze ordered then to the royal guards to take the corpse out of his office.

Again prince Maze was alone at his office, well that's what he thought.

"I can help you." said the disguised man who appeared out of nowhere.

"Who are you?" asked prince Maze. His voice was filled with suspicion.

"I am someone who can help you to fulfill your innermost desires. However, are willing to pay the price?" responded the disguised man and waited expectantly for his reply.

Instead of a reply prince Maze only smiled at the disguised man.

But this was enough for the disguised man.

He knows to well that smile. Behind the smile greed was hidden.

A greed so immense that one would do anything to satisfy it.

That was what he was expecting. Everything was going smoothly according the plan, thought the disguised man.
