There was another knock on the door and Edna slid the door open. "I heard that Amelia and my Grandbaby were awake. I rushed over. You would not believe the shock I got when Kazuki walked through the door when you ran inside carrying Amelia. If it was not an emergency I would have scolded that brat! Then I saw Suzuka and my anger faded away."

Suzuka came into the room. "Mayumi, are you doing okay now? I heard that you slept for a while."

"Mama! I'm okay. It was hard to sleep well on the carriage so I was tired. I slept beside Auntie!" Mayumi ate another bite of her meat bun. 

"I don't doubt it. I was hoping that you would help those two ease back into life here. I need help at the hospital so that I can spend more time with Amelia making sure that she is well taken care of. Not that I think Miyuki will not do her job." Gabriel added that in real quick. 

"Do not worry Suzuka told me what your part in all this was. It is great that they are together but it's kind of funny that it was their budding love that made us parents want you two to have an arranged marriage. To let you guys know that we approve of your coupling. Little did we know that since we did not inform them that they were partners that they would run away together?!" Edna chuckled and looked at the little girl. "I still owe a stern talking to my son but I will do that over dinner. He has been running here and there and avoiding me at all costs." 

"That sounds like something that Kazuki would do. He can not avoid dinner though. Will be in the banquet hall for dinner tonight?" Gabriel watches his mother. 

Suzuka looked at Edna the Gabriel. "I asked for it to be in the tea ceremony room that way Kazuki will have to face both parents. Also, thank you for watching Mayumi. I have candidates picked out to watch after her since the baby will come soon." 

"Oh, aren't you just so evil. Okay, I will be taking Mayumi out for a walk if you are okay with that?" Gabriel smiled at Mayumi.

"Mama, I would like to go with Uncle and Auntie. It will be good for me to stretch my little legs!" Mayumi looked at Suzuka with her eyes pleading."I do not mind her coming along. She has been really good for me since she woke up. Miyuki will be with us so if something happens to me Gabriel can take care of me and Miyuki can take care of Mayumi." Amelia smiled happily. 

"If you are okay with this. I promise that I will take care of her Suzuka." Miyuki bowed at Suzuka.

"Of course it is okay. I would not say no as you guys are more than trustworthy and my daughter is very happy with you two. I know that you have a lot to work through so I will let you get back to what you want to do. I am looking forward to dinner.�� Suzuka smiled as if she was evilly plotting something.

"I am so glad that I finally get to spend some time with you again, Suzuka. I will say some pretty mean things do not take them to heart." Edna waves at Amelia and gets ready to leave the room. 

It is Kazuki that I am worried about. He is a fool but so am I. Feel free to go out with Gabriel and Amelia. Just be a good girl, Mayumi." Suzuka smiled and left the room.

"I will be a good girl!" Mayumi says as Suzuka leaves the room. 

"Well, I guess that takes care of asking for permission." Amelia looks at Gabriel and she starts giggling.

Gabriel looked at her and reached over touching her cheek. "It is lovely to hear you laugh. You are absolutely amazing." He rubbed her cheek with his thumb. As his hand left her face he patted Mayumi on the head. "I am looking forward to our adventure!"

"Gochisosama. Am I allowed to come, Big Brother?" Itsuki looked at Gabriel and then Amelia. 

"Wouldn't have it any other way. I am sure that Subaru will not mind. He was probably tired from the trip as well. So we will let him rest. I will leave a note on the door so that no one worries. I expect Kazuki to arrive in three… two… one." There was a knock on the door. Gabriel got up and answered the door. "What can I do for you Kazuki?" 

"Please tell me we are in the banquet room. Father is going to kill me. I just see it now." Kazuki grabbed Gabriel's arms and was pleading with him.

"Hmmmmmm, I am sorry to disappoint you but it's in the tea ceremony room and if you run you will only be proving father's point. You cannot keep running away. You need to face this head-on." Gabriel patted Kazuki on the shoulder. 

Kazuki sulked and looked at the people at the table. "Do you think that is something that we can do?" 

"That only thing you can do is atone for leaving without finding out who your partner was supposed to be. You also have an adorable daughter and another little one on the way. He can't stay mad for too long." Gabriel says this and watches Kazuki relax. "Anyway, after Mayumi is done eating we are going for a walk and you are not invited. As you need to think of a way to sedate Father's anger." 

"You can't leave me like this Gabriel. How can you be so heartless?" Kazuki asks this and looks over at Amelia for help.

"I think as someone that is just entering the family I am not the best person to give advice but what Gabriel says makes sense to me. I need a little fresh air after what I went through and since everyone is scrambling around I will be taking the chicken out so that they do not get in the way." Amelia bowed her head.
