"Officer Gradis, how has life been after the attack and how are you coping with the loss of your best friend?" A reporter asked.
"I- I actually just came from the cemetery where my best friend was buried and," Gradis began tears running down her cheeks, "and it was a very shocking feeling. To see someone who you spent most of your life with, in front of you covered by dirt and a tombstone as their head… it-it was a very traumatic event. "I-" Gradis began, her voice rising slightly from the unexpected question, this wasn't as she rehea.r.s.ed, they were supposed to wait this was her spotlight not some p.a.w.n she had lured t-
A gentle hand tapped her shoulders, "watch yourself on stage," Damien whispered into her ear, "there are eyes everywhere, we may control their words but we can only filter their news reports," He stepped in front of her, hiding her figure behind him, "don't make a bigger mess for us to clean up after this."
