Their gym cla.s.s was arnis, one will pair up with another and do some practices.

But today, the gym was crowded due to the fact that Ashton's cla.s.s also had their gym cla.s.s and that it was basketball.

Ashton was the same as Amber, despite having high grades he still enter all his cla.s.ses, even during gym.

This was the first time their cla.s.ses came together for they have different activities during gym. Amber just shrugged, she always see him anyway plus they are already considered as friends.

Ashton have always been an aloof one and would rarely go out of the office, other than during cla.s.ses. So of course a lot of his fans are there to watch their idol.

Amber didn't care for currently she has no partner, well it was simply because she actually have no friends in cla.s.s. And the others would pair up with their friends.

"Can I be your partner?" she then heard a voice beside her.

"Oh, your friends?" she asked looking around.

"They are paired up together," Leslie smiled after saying this looking at the direction of her friends who nodded towards them.

"I suppose I should thank you once again," Amber replied with a smile.

Her smiling face captivated other people, even those who were in the higher year. She had her hair up in a ponytail, so her fair white skin at the back of her neck was visible.

"You really are beautiful," Leslie couldn't help but say as well.

Everyone rarely see a smile on Amber's face for she was always sleeping. Their gym cla.s.ses most of the time were also pretty much an individual cla.s.s.

So this is truly the first time everyone have seen her interact with others. Adding to the fact that it had been a few weeks since the cla.s.s started.

"Hey I've heard about you, do you want to hang out after cla.s.s?" a male voice suddenly sounded beside the two of them.

Amber's smile disappeared upon looking at the man holding a basketball ball in his arm. Beside him was another guy but it didn't escape Amber's eyes the way that man looked at Leslie who was beside her.

She glanced at her side and she could see that she was uneasy.

"Why would I?" she then asked as she look back at the guy who suddenly interrupted their conversation.

"It's a privilege to have a date with me you know. I am but the captain ball of the basketball team of our department. I am a third year and the name's Hans, Hans Walker."

He extended his hand and smiled as if thinking that it was his best smile and anyone would fall for it.

"It's not for me. Excuse us for we still have our lessons, I have no plans of getting a failing mark even with just my gym cla.s.s."

After saying this she didn't give Hans another chance to speak nor did she allow the other guy to have a chance to speak with Leslie. Instead she pulled her away as they positioned themselves ready to start their own activity.

But she still felt repugnant towards the two of them, remembering that Ashton's cla.s.s was also there and it seems that they are on the same cla.s.s. She looked back and stared at him.

Ashton who was waiting by the side knew of course of what had happened. Feeling her stare he looked back at her. She glared at him as if saying for him to do something about them.

She feels repugnant over the people who think so highly of themselves that they think they can do whatever they wanted. At the same time she felt disgusted at the way the other guy looks at Leslie.

She didn't know her well but as a woman she had a bad feeling about him.

Ashton raised an eyebrow before shaking his head exasperatedly.

He then heard a laugh approaching him. Looking to the side, who knows when, but it seems that Blake and Devon have arrived here.

"It seems she feels disgusted towards them to the point that she wanted to rip them apart. That is a first ever since we met her," Blake commented as they look towards the freshmen cla.s.s.

"And looking at you, it seems you have no idea what you are supposed to do," he then said upon seeing Ashton shaking his head.

"What did she want me to do? They approached them, it's not like it was I who told them to approach her," Ashton replied.

"Tsk tsk tsk, if it was me, I think she got mad because of the person who was beside that captain," Devon replied, he saw the glances Amber made and the other guy looking at the girl beside her.

"In the end it was still not my business to do anything towards them," Ashton replied as their cla.s.s started their practice games.

Blake and Devon just shook their head and shrugged their shoulders.

Of course Amber knew what she was asking was too much as well so in reality she was just venting out the disgust she had just felt.

As the two of them did the practices she noticed that Leslie was adept to it.

"You've practiced arnis before?" she couldn't help but ask while they kept going.

"Yes, somehow my parents made me learn. Just as a form of self defense," Leslie replied.

Despite talking the two of them weren't slipping up or anything. Compared to their cla.s.smates that was in full concentration in order not to hit each other out.

Amber no longer asked but the things she noticed a while ago, she made a mental note to it. Just in case something might happen. Somehow she had this feeling that something might go wrong.

"The fact that you two have come, you must have some news right?" Ashton asked as they finished their gym cla.s.s.

The three of them are now walking at the pathway from gym to the main building.

"Yup, we have finally closed the deal. We are now official," Blake grinned as he showed a v sign.

They could have just waited until tonight but the two of them couldn't stop their eagerness to share the news.

A slight smile appeared on Ashton's face before something caught his eyes.

"Amber."

Blake and Devon was shocked to hear him call for her, upon looking towards her direction. They also noticed that not far from her were the other seniors whom she flatly rejected a while ago.

Amber was shock to hear her name and upon seeing Ashton and the others she was even more confused. It's not that they were hiding the fact that they knew each other.

Or even the fact that she was engaged to him. But that, the two of them didn't bother with all of it. If others would find out then they would find out. If not then not.

Ashton just waved at her, calling for her. Though confused she still went to where they were.

Hans, on the other hand, was actually seething in anger when he was flatly rejected by her so with his minions they were planning on getting back at her once they are out of sight of most people.

Yet before they could arrive there Amber's name was called. Seeing as she was walking to another direction, he wanted to glare at the person who called for her.

But upon raising his head he saw, Ashton, Blake and Devon glaring at him. And seeing how Ashton placed his hand on top of Amber's head, he knew he must not touch her or else.

He still felt lucky somehow, that before he could make a move on her, Ashton made his own move already of letting him know that she was one of his.

He then remembered how he tried to hit on her during gym and remembered that Ashton was also there. He broke to cold sweat, he let him go a while ago. But seeing his glare now, Hans knew this was his last chance to withdraw.

His family has their own business but they still can't compare to someone who owns the most prestigious school.

So without any more thoughts he signalled his minions to back away as he strained a smile to where Ashton and the others are.

Amber, on the other hand, was shock when Ashton placed his hand on top of her head.

"What's going on?"

Ashton didn't speak as he went ahead to continue walking.

Amber looked at Blake and Devon confusedly.

"Just want to inform you that we have successfully closed another business deal and are planning to celebrate, want to join us?" Blake easily made up something.

They felt like it was not necessary for them to waste more time in mentioning Hans and his minions.

"Congratulations!! Of course I would go," Amber happily said as the three of them followed Ashton inside the building.

The two of them had their last cla.s.s as the gym cla.s.s. The other two had different schedules but currently they too no longer have any cla.s.ses.
