"I thought I fell and I… So, I survived…" Mira forced her eyes open and take a look at herself. She still had her climbing clothes and gear on. She looked to her side and saw that her spatial bag was beside her, she looked at her finger and saw that her spatial ring was still on her finger, she sighed with relief. These two items where things that were often essential to her survival, they were irreplaceable… not mention the value. How many people wanted spatial objects but could even begin to imagine owning one.
The next thing that she noticed was that she was no longer on a mountain side. Her hand was on moist dirt instead of a rocky rough surface. She was in what appeared to be a forest. It was dense and everything was wet, there was a layer a fog all around her that was stagnant without any wind. A normal person would have been shocked at her change in locations, but Mira wasn't. She wasn't the least bit shocked to suddenly find herself some other place where she definitely shouldn't be. Slowly but surely the pain in her body began to decrease enough that she decided to try to stand. She couldn't, the moment she moved it became intense again. She frowned stifling a groan and began mumbling some words. After a few moments a her body began to glow and her pain slowly ebbed away.
"Much better." She said pleased, and then grabbed the spatial bag and stood up. She snapped it in place across her chest and then gave her surrounding another once over. The area was extremely lush. There were trees for as far as she could see. Various vegetation were everywhere and the sounds of wild life could be heard in every direction. She glanced up and saw the sky was still bright but she couldn't tell in what direction the sun was.
After a moment she jumped a little and landed. She frowned and jumped again, she sighed as she didn't quite understand what the problem was. "I suppose I'm doing this the hard way." For now, she just picked a direction and started walking. As walked she was on high alert, though it wasn't as she ever really let her guard down. She took careful note of her environment while looking for signs that would lead her to running water. Where there was running water there would likely a settlement of some sort. Civilization meant that that she could figure out exactly where she was. From there she wouldn't figure out what her next move would be.
The air was damp, and small droplets of water slowly dripped off of the vegetation round her. Because the didn't smell like rain she knew it must be the humidity. Everything lush and so full of life. The varying degrees of greens and browns blended in perfectly with vivid colors of the various fruits. It was undeniably beautiful, though it was difficult to fully apricate beauty that surrounded her because of the smell. The entire area smelled of rotting vegetation. She knew it was because of the humidity… it just made the rot worse. She resisted the urge to hold her nose and instead focused on looking for plants that looked familiar but extremely sensitive nose made that difficult. Her sense of smell was both a blessing and curse. She couldn't even count how many times it had saved her life… nor could she count how many times it had nearly gotten her killed. It was the epitome of double-edged knife.
She been walking for a while and the more she walked to the more she realized that she really couldn't name any of the plant life, however this didn't bother her too much. She'd long ago figured out how to deal with this problem when it arose.
She'd walked for well over three hours before she saw a cl.u.s.ter of trees that looked similar to the cypress tree. She walked up to it... It looked very similar indeed… except the root were huge and running above ground and the trunk was a bit twisted. She grinned and followed the roots, she was reasonably certain that the would lead her to a body of water. She wanted to get out of this moist forest as quickly as possible.
As she neared river she smiled. In situations like when one was alone and lost these small accomplishments truly helped keep one's spirits up. She pulled a couple water bottles from her spatial ring and started filling them up with water. There was a special filter in each of them so the was immediately purified and safe to drink. She drank an entire water bottle before refilling it and then filling the others and then placing them all back into the spatial ring.
She was just standing up when a sound caught her attention. She paused and then slowly got up looking in the direction where the noise had come from. She hadn't been using any of her abilities sense healing herself because something just didn't feel right, but now she was reconsidering it, because is there was one thing Mira was keenly aware of… that would be the feeling of being hunted. She slowly reached into her spatial bag and pulled out her bow and quiver. With careful movements she attached the quiver to her waist then pressed her thumb to the print recognition on the bow and it expanded. She notched the bow then slowed her breath and prepared for the battle that she knew was to come.
