@@As the morning sun rises, so do the Boss and his men. The efficiently prepare for the journey ahead, buying some supplies at the local market and giving the caravans some maintenance.
After everything's good to go, they set off. The mood of the group is lighthearted as they now know just how much money they're able to save with the Kami fruit. Boss happily calculated the surplus they earned from not having to buy food at the market.
Chatter and laughter fill the wagons as the men chat about different topics. The relaxed and fun atmosphere influences Sven's previously dampened mood. He just happened to overhear one of the groups conversation.
One of the men who went to the market for supplies was talking to some of the others,"Hey, did you hear? One of our buyers put up a 'wanted' notice for their daughter."
"What, Really?"
"No joke! Apparently the girl ran away from home, but they're not sure how long she's been gone."
"They don't know when the girl went missing? How can a father not know if their child is gone?! Isn't that just negligence?"
"Who knows...point is, they put up a reward for information on her whereabouts."
"As expected of rich people.." The man nods his head.
Someone else joins the conversation,"Oh! I heard about that too! The girl was supposed to be sent to the neighboring kingdom as a peace offering!"
"You don't say...no wonder she ran away. I'd probably do the same..."
"Selling off your child like that, tsk." A disgusted look appears on one of the men's faces.
Sven, who's been listening in the whole time shows a gleeful grin and whispers as a prayer,"Good luck."
