This h.e.l.lhole of place that I was at, was now my home.
The place where I would live, the place where my descendants would live.
There's almost nothing this place can offer at all.
The food is scarce, so we sometimes have to look towards cannibalism.
And even then, there's still not enough for everyone.
In this place, you have to be cruel in order to survive.
You've got to have power, show no mercy or else it's your turn to be on the cutting block.
Of course, I and my wife Gremory were lucky enough to be the two strongest.
While we were on top, there were hundreds of different demons weaker than us.
That was when we were born, to say the least.
Our fertility rate is extremely high, resulting in a ma.s.sive increase in demons.
Without question, those at the bottom became food for the ones at the top.
Even though demon meat tasted very sour, it was our only source of food...at least for now.
There's something I'm forgetting.
It's a woman.
A woman so beautiful your eyes would roll out of your head by just glancing at her.
Her long hair looked like it had hundreds of galaxies and stars mixed in.
She wore a white robe.
She was someone I would never forget.
If I were to compare Gremory and her, she would win by a very large margin.
It's like heaven and earth, where 'she' was heaven and Gremory was earth.
You could also put it in other words.
Gremory is extremely ugly compared to 'her'.
But of course, the thing most special about her was her sense of presence.
I felt like if I lost focus on her, she might vanish at any given moment.
Her presence couldn't be felt.
The only way to know she was there, was to look at her.
However, she vanished right in front of my eyes.
She walked through what looked like a crack...and completely disappeared.
Who was that?
Why was 'she' here?
Could I perhaps meet her again someday in the future?
Either way, it's not like I'm going to die of old age, so I might as well just wait for her to return...if she does.
Skipping about 225 years into the future, times have changed.
They have changed so much, it's hard to imagine.
One day, when one of my personal scouts were out, searching through this galaxy, he spotted a planet.
A small planet, radiating extremely strong and unfathomable energy.
When I arrived, I could feel it.
It was calling me.
It was longing for me.
It was meant to be mine from the beginning.
I quickly arrived on the surface of the planet and saw a giant hole leading all the way into the core.
As I walked, I felt it got hotter and hotter, but then again, the calling got stronger and stronger.
It was something I simply couldn't resist, and the best of all, it somehow reminded me of that woman.
I don't know why it did, but that was probably also why I just needed to get my hands on it.
Whatever it is.
I just need it.
It was scorching hot inside the core.
However, this galaxy is extremely hot and unbearable to begin with, so some extra heat wouldn't do damage.
What surprised me the most, however, was the thing embedded into the core.
It was a demonic-looking sword.
A sword that was meant to be wielded by demons.
It was long and thin, while also being extremely heavy.
It was so heavy, it felt like I wasn't holding a sword, but rather a small planet by itself.
Even me, as the strongest demon had problems handling this sword.
Skipping another 5 years into the future, war has begun.
It all started with us exploring too far and finding what we believe to be a paradise.
However, as soon as we saw who inhabited this place, we felt a deep hatred.
War broke out not long after that.
Slaughter began...death had arrived.
