Yumine facepalmed, as she doesn't want to believe her own two eyes, while she was seeing through the holographic screen. Ira was laughing so hard, while she was sitting on her floating chair,
"Ah-hhhha! I can't believe this is happening! This is so hilarious!".
It appeared she was looking at the screen also. Yumine tried to control her laughter, since she was witnessing something very disturbing that she shouldn't laugh at. Sadly, her laugh burst out loud and couldn't help herself, even though it was wrong,
"HHHHHA! GEEZ ORI? Are ya trying to kill me here?".
The two G.o.ddesses had lost all of their poise and cla.s.s, as they kept on laughing, while they were levitating in the sky. They had teary eyes from the constant laughing. They were witnessing what the screen was showing Otorine and the majestic dragon were in a nitpick. Since, their heads kept on b.u.mping into the invisible walls along the sky track. In turn, their intense race turned into a hilarious laughingstock.
Even the other G.o.ds and G.o.ddesses at Ru's bar in Celestia Heavens were laughing their lungs out, as they were seeing Otorine's stupid race through the wide flat screen television attached to the wall. Their laughter reverberated and created a humorous feeling in the air. It's as if they were watching a hilarious reality show,
"What the f*ck? GAH-HHHA!".
Then, a burly-looking G.o.d smacked his beer mug on the table, as if he was a crazed loudmouth. The other G.o.d that was wearing gla.s.ses at the other table was grinning quietly, as he suggested,
"She should've used her ABYSS EYE ability to see through everything."
Another G.o.d that looked-like he was a party-goer replied to the previous guy's statement,
"Bro...that's b*tch Yumine's G.o.ddess ability...Hhha!".
He responds,
"Oh gahahaha I forgot! Then, what does lady Otorine have?".
The guy that he was talking to, replied back,
"She has the G.o.ddess powers same as the MOST USELESS G.o.dDESS! Powers of WATER CREATION!".
The burly G.o.d from before took a hard drink of his beer. Then, he smacked his table once again. He laughed the hardest such as he was a shameless person,
"GAH-HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! SHE'S DOOMED THEN!".
The others were laughing, as they were seeing Otorine's embarra.s.sing blunders. Though, the two G.o.ddesses that were sitting on their couches at the corner didn't look that much pleased. Amora looked irritated, as she was seeing that her friend kept b.u.mping on the unnoticeable walls. Amora took a shot of her c.o.c.ktail and expressed,
"Pu-hah! Geez Ori...could you not embarra.s.s yourself? Almost everyone here is seeing this!".
For some reason, her cheeks were red and her eyes looked droopy. It seemed she was nearly drunk from her constant drinking of liquor. Mixed with irritation and her drunk state, Amora was about to punch the lights out of someone, especially the burly looking G.o.d who kept on dissing her friend doing her best. As for Shunya who was next to Amora, Shunya almost wanted to hide due to her friend's embarra.s.sing stunts. Though, she was worried due to other reasons,
"Please big sis Ori...don't embarra.s.s yourself any further. Big sis Amora's getting angry and she might just whip out someone...like the last time.".
Zeran wasn't at his bartender area instead it was Ru at his place instead. She was witnessing Otorine's race through the flat screen tv near her. Though, she looked-like she was about to laugh at any moment, since she was grinning and her foxy ears were twitching excitedly.
Meanwhile, on the real situation of Otorine and the dragon, Otorine's head had a lot of bruises already, as she had been b.u.mping into many unsuspecting walls. Though, she still continued to rush along the rainbow sky track. Suddenly, she hit on an invisible wall once again.
"Owww! That's the 18th time now!",
she expressed and touched her head. She felt a jolting pain afterwards. Though, she just continued on with the ridiculous sprint. As for the dragon, he was beside her and he said his own opinions,
"You think you had it rough? Mine's already my 30th...ugh...".
Sooner or later, he expressed his own thoughts,
"I can't believe I'd be caught in my own tricks in making this track. Let's take a stop for now.".
Otorine nodded and they had stopped moving along. Then, they floated above. Otorine brushed her hair, as the strong winds were disturbing her glistening hair. It appeared their rainbow race track was filled with unexpected obstacles such as the invisible walls. Even though, the rainbow sky path looked-like a broad single straight line, it had lots of up, downs, twists, and turns. The track was even penetrating through the clouds at the mere distance. The dragon thought of something.
"I think I should remove those barriers now.",
he said.
"Agreed.",
Otorine replied fast. Soon, the dragon coiled itself like it was a spiraling tower. It's head was on the highest peak. He inhaled with the best what he can vacuum from the atmosphere. Then, he roared so loud that reverberated across the skies, making the invisible walls to crumble and leave out clear fragments to fall from the skies. Not only that, his powerful voice turned Otorine's eardrums to cringe and break apart also. Even though, she has no human-like ears, her pink fin feelers were her alternative organs in senses of hearing. As the dragon had finished his echoing roar and closed his gaping mouth, Otorine looked very much annoyed,
"WHY'D YOU HAVE TO SCREECH SO LOUD!".
It appeared that Otorine's composure had gone down the drain, as she demanded like a teenage girl, especially the way her hands are put. The dragon didn't say anything but, he looked-like he had lost interest to the G.o.ddess Otorine. He was deep in his thoughts later on,
"Sigh...I thought the other G.o.ddesses would be a tad bit different from my master...I guess I was wrong.".
In another instance, somehow, through the distance, the winged folks at one of the floating islands were noticing the bright lights moving across the skies. There were two radiant lights that race across the winding horizon. One was the brilliant color of the bluish star you'd see in the night sky. While the other one was the enigmatic green light that you'd see once in a blue moon. Little did they know that the moving stars were Otorine and the dragon racing through the distance, trailblazing their brilliant stardust.
"Hey look! It's our G.o.ddess and her dragon having a race, to see whether they should change our seasons again!",
The winged person exclaimed, while he was pointing at the moving lights across the horizon. The other people banded together and joined on his sightseeing. Though, someone interjected and argued with the guy's statement,
"Huh? What do you mean? We don't have a G.o.ddess. We have a G.o.d!".
The winged folks had growing doubts amongst themselves. The others were agreeing with the a.s.sumption of having a G.o.ddess. While the other conservative ones were still believing they had a G.o.d and proved that Exceediel was their only G.o.d,
"Yeah! Our only G.o.d is Lord Exceed."
Sadly, the other side argued back aided by their fiery eyes,
"Nuh uh! We have a G.o.ddess and her name is, wait...What's her name again?".
Some of the winged folk themselves looked confused, since their memories about their true religion has been altered somehow. Their arguments were starting to grow into small tensions, as both sides were almost desperate to try anything to prove their beliefs. At the other sky island where Exceediel hails at, it was calm and free from any boiling tensions. The breeze was relaxing, as the villagers there were quiet and didn't have any kind of minor conflict whatsoever. They were just living on their soothing lives of gathering fruits and catching flying fishes roaming across the sky sea. For some unusual reason, they were noticing that Exceediel was flapping his wings above the skies and he was staring across the horizon with a puzzled look. Though, they didn't mind their self-proclaimed G.o.d somehow. There after, Exceediel was intrigued in his thoughts,
"It seems the other people at that certain sky island are starting to notice...".
He cracked out a cunning smile and he was absorbed in his thoughts again,
"I guess the MIND-ALTERATION of that DISTORTED G.o.dDESS imposed upon them is starting to waver.".
He sighed but, he wasn't that much worried for some unusual reason. Rather, he already knew that it would happen sooner or later. He s.h.i.+fted his look to the right side. He had also witnessed that there were moving lights, same as the other winged folk had seen. He scratched his head. He wore a tricky smile, while he was engaged in his thoughts yet again,
"So they're having a race now huh. Our pet dragon is really so eager on racing. I wonder if he would like the mini race cars in one of the Celestia heavenly mall's shops.".
He stretched his hands and asked himself,
"Maybe I should ask my dear loving perfect woman Avery when she wakes up.".
As he had recalled upon calling his long lost wife's name filled with amazing praise, he had a positive feeling inside his core. He nodded and he looked excited, as he flew back down into his quarters. As usual, the real G.o.ddess and his wife was still in her deep slumber. He approached her and caressed her flawless skin. His eyes were set on her gorgeous face of a sleeping beauty. Though, his eyes weren't filled with maniacal intent, rather it was filled with divine happiness.
Returning back to Otorine and the dragon's case, they were now both moving such as they were hyper-speed aircrafts. Otorine's wings were flapping but, they were like jet pack thrusters, as they released bursting stardust particles along the way. The dragon was moving like he was a slithering sea serpent that appeared too fast, even though he wasn't moving his elongated body that much. They were still following the winding rainbow path across the skies without anything to block their way this time around. Otorine's hair was flowing along the surging powerful winds against her. Moreover, she was behind the dragon's pacing. She might be behind her foe but, she was actually drafting, weakening the force of wind against her. While she was still sprinting along the way with her hyper-speed wings, she was absorbed and convinced in her thoughts,
"Now with those annoying walls out of the way, I can win with all I've got. I just need to burst at the right moment.".
The dragon smirked an engaging smile, as he was noticing that his opponent behind him was truly serious upon winning. Sooner or later, he told a friendly suggestion,
"By the way, next up will be the sky currents.".
Otorine looked dumbstruck,
Sky curr—!".
Suddenly, Otorine's statement got interrupted, as she felt that her body went into some kind of hypers.p.a.ce in the skies. The dragon and Otorine went even faster than ever before, such as they were being pulled by a water current, even though they were high into the sky. Otorine was feeling the breeze was even stronger making her ears and eyes to feel like they were sensing the howling winds from high above the mountain.
Due to the likelihood of the surging, warm, cold, and unpredictable winds in the world of Amakiel. They were similar to the behavior of waters from the high seas or deep oceans, thus creating in what they call sky currents. Afterwards, they were now free from the raging sky currents. They were back to their usual controllable fast speed flying or sprinting you'd call. Later on, the dragon asked her, while his eyes were still locked into the race,
"Having fun now? G.o.ddess from another world?".
Otorine replied unsurely,
"I guess so.".
The dragon laughed, as hard as he could,
"GAH-HHHHA!".
Otorine brushed her hair, as it was nearly disturbing her line of vision. For some reason, Otorine looked intrigued over the dragon's sudden laugh. In turn, she asked him,
"What's so funny?".
The dragon smiled,
"I have never felt this much fun!".
Soon, he told more,
"You see my master has been so busy with managing her world. More than that, she had forgotten about racing with me.".
The dragon sighed,
"She said managing her world in one season could benefit the villagers more.".
Otorine wasn't able to reply back, as the dragon continued to say profusely,
"Not only that, She said that it's pointless and childish to have races. Shees.h.!.+".
She just listened to his ramblings. Thereon, the dragon said more and more,
"Even though my fruits from that season would bear more, it's still no fun at all. So—.".
The dragon paused for a second, as he focused upon dodging the stray flying bird along the way. His marvelous body slithered and curved even more in order to dodge the bird with crystal wings. The dragon dodged it in the nick of time. Thereon, the bird splat on Otorine's face instead.
"GAHCKKK!",
as she expressed with utter disturbance. She looked pretty funny, as her face had a bird splat on her face. She removed it with gentle care afterwards. Thereupon, the bird was flying astray once again. The dragon almost laughed, but, he continued his statement from before,
"So I conspired with her daughter who was also annoyed of her overprotective mother. With our combined efforts, we let the G.o.ddess, my master fall asleep for a while, since she wasn't paying attention to our wants.".
Otorine just nodded and understood what the dragon's getting at,
"I see...".
Thereon, the dragon said more and more but, he was wearing a frown instead,
"Sadly, some female stranger took advantage of my master in sleeping. Then, she established some kind of religion by altering the people's minds and utilizing my master's husband as the centerpiece of that new religion. My master's husband was also another master to me by the way.".
As Otorine heard the interesting explanation of the dragon, she held her chin and she was intrigued in her thoughts,
"I guess that's how Exceediel was able to spread his illegitimate religion. Since he doesn't have the capacity to do so...".
Before a religion would be bestowed upon the people of the said world, there is an underlying process of finding and choosing a G.o.d or G.o.ddess under the registered roster of Celestia Heavens. The chosen G.o.d or G.o.ddess would set their said religion they had come up with. Thereon, the fully established religion that was already bestowed upon the people would be registered and signed in the heavenly doc.u.ments by the higher ups, especially by their almighty G.o.ddess queen Weissia who is above them all. Though, their said religion would need to be related to the Celestia Heavens at some point, in order for those to be approved. Since, the chosen G.o.d or G.o.ddess of that world is still under the jurisdiction of the Celestia heavenly system. It's kinda a.n.a.logous to the licensed doctors and clinics in some way or another. In Exceediel's case of his newly-created religion, he wasn't fit nor was he even registered to be a licensed G.o.d. Thus, branding his kind of religion to be illegitimate and illegal.
Somehow, Otorine was alarmed over the dragon's recent statement of saying that there was a third-party other than Exceediel himself. In turn, she was absorbed in her thoughts,
"Wait...STRANGERS?! It wasn't only Exceediel who came here?!".
Her eyes were widely shocked and she gulped, as they were more of a threat than the annoying Exceediel. Since they could manipulate the people's beliefs and just used Exceediel as a mere puppet. Suddenly, everything was frozen in time once again. Otorine felt another touch that came from the hand of the abyss. It was feeling her shoulders and letting out murmurs of the cold dread,
"Worthless...p.a.w.ns...in the wisps...strings...slumber...awakened dawn...pillars...".
Sooner or later, the wraith hand had vanished and time had flowed once again, turning the chilling winds to melt. Otorine just ignored the bizarre incident as She calmed her nerves and she s.h.i.+fted away the awry atmosphere by asking the dragon,
"By the way, do you like your master that much?".
The dragon looked up, while he was still moving forward across the skies. He was in his thoughts for a few seconds. Though, he still replied fast with a cool smile,
"Well I just like her as my master, nothing more nothing less...although her daught—.".
For some unusual reason, the dragon bit his lip on purpose. He had stopped looking up and changed his phrase,
"Nevermind. Nevertheless I regret on what I've done.".
Otorine didn't mind his change of statement, as she just nodded back,
"Oh okay.".
She looked determined and tried to overtake the dragon gradually by moving to the left side. Though, the dragon looked confident and said,
"Hha! That was a nice small talk with another G.o.ddess. Sorry but, I'll have to leave you now.".
Then, the dragon burst forward in a blink of an eye such as he had nitro boosters behind his back. Otorine looked awestruck at first but, she masked a determined grin and expressed with a cool smile later on,
"Hmph! No way I'm gonna lose to a lizard.".
Otorine had paused for a second. She inhaled then exhaled deeply. The palm of her hands siphoned the condensed particles of the blue stars. She twisted her body like she was a majestic fairy spreading the s.h.i.+mmering stardust that was coming from her hands. Then, she burst straight forward aided by her enchanted hands having booster-like capabilities, leaving out a bright streak of blue light along the way. Otorine was feeling the gus.h.i.+ng wind against her face. Sooner or later, she caught up with the dragon. The two of them were neck-neck, as they follow the twisting and bending paths of the rainbow sky track. They looked-like they were race cars having an extreme sprint that n.o.body would ever imagine. The dragon noticed that Otorine was even more focused than ever before. More than that, she was twisting such as she was a moving corkscrew in order to boost her speed even a tad bit more. The sound of the blasting wind such as it came from the rotors of the airplane were heard by the two of them. Their eyes were just noticing that the sky islands were just frequently pa.s.sing through their sights. They were ascending high as they follow the climbing rainbow sky track high into the hemisphere. As they were on the highest top they saw the blanket of clouds below them. Otorine was amazed of the clean sheet of cloud below them,
"Wow...".
Due to their exemplary speed, it seemed they were almost lost on their track. Though, they would just appear to be moving high above the race track, such as the cars were almost flying above the tracks below. Sooner or later, they descended down gradually, as they saw there was a glimpse of the rainbow sky track below the blanket of clouds. They returned to the sky sea and went back on track. Otorine was seeing the faded monochromatic finish line pole a few distances away. Thereupon, she boosted her wings and hands capabilities, amplifying her speed even more. The dragon didn't want to fall behind, as he boosted his speed too. Soon, Otorine was noticing that Yumine was cheering on her and Ira was eating popcorn at the long distance. Due to Otorine's and the dragon's blistering speed, they were neck-neck, giving their all. The two had crossed the finish line but, no one know who won yet, since both of them went too fast. Otorine looked cool and amazing, as she was taking a gradual stop. Since, her pose was you'd seen from a dance performer slowing down on his/her running momentum while she/he was touching/dragging the floor. The dragon took his stop as well. Then he expressed his satisfaction,
"Phew! That was loads of fun!".
Otorine got up. Her wings and hands had dispersed those immense energy particles. Yumine went to her friend who was almost exhausted of crossing the finish line. Then, Yumine congratulated her,
"Good show Ori!".
Otorine didn't know how to respond to that compliment, so she just said, while she was looking unsure,
"I guess so...By the way, who won?".
Yumine looked very uncertain,
"It's ummmmm err...".
