A shadow figured arrived a few seconds before me. I sneered. In the original timeline the a.s.sa.s.sin failed to kill Luna, but succeeded in poisoning her. Tragedy occurred when she got sicker the older she got. It was brushed off as her magic being too strong, but the moment she showed signs of letting out icy breath and s.h.i.+vering, her diagnoses was changed to poison. However, there was no cure for the specific poison, and nearly too late to find one. All they could do was prolong her life. At the age of twenty-six, she pa.s.sed away. I had, too, been fed that poison, but only on the day of my exile which was two years after Luna died. And while the nation cried for their princess as a grand funeral was held for her, I had no one and died a lonesome death in a rundown home built by my own hands.

He was crouched down with a sword held tightly in his hand. Taking out a small needle I reshaped it to that of a sword and launched behind him. He turned around abruptly and swore as he blocked off my attack. Jumping back, I took in his appearance. He smirked as he took in the fact that I was a mere child and swung his sword. I jumped up and breathed out, making sure he didn't notice what I was doing. The tip of his sword grazed me as he changed his direction of attack. Landing, I launched forward, only to slide back as I controlled the Ice I created underneath him to latched onto him and make him fall. As he laid on the ground trying to recover from the sudden force of impact on his head due to the fall, I ran and pierced my sword through him, not giving him any chance to fight back.
He coughed up a fit of blood and struggled to escape before settling down and breathing his last breath. Taking out the sword and shaping it back into a needle. I threw the needle onto his body and froze it along with him before shattering them into pieces. Once the morning came, both the needle and the man would melt away under the sun. However, I hesitated to let the pieces of ice remain like this in case a guard pa.s.sed by later on. Raising one of my hand, I let the original cold feel from my hand be engulfed by burning flames and threw down a fireball on what was once a human and needle.
As the last of the evidence melted, I ran back to my room and closed the window. Looking down at my leg, blood oozed out slightly. I frowned deeply as I made my way to the bathroom to wash away the blood and bandaged the wound.
I guess this was karma for how everything I done.
