'The witch CEO has a child?'

'Secretly married with a child; CEO Yethu.'

'Mother and daughter at the park; not so much of a witch.'

'b.a.s.t.a.r.d child? Who could be the baby daddy.'

Miray did not care about being called names but they had brought little Daphne into it, so she was not going to let it go. The internet is forever and Miray did not want little Daphne to see such a thing about herself someday.

"Now you will know that I am truly a witch", she gritted her teeth with anger and then switched off her phone.

That morning, the workers of MIT company made noise like children from kindergarten. They were hyped by the news about the boss as they expressed their oppinions to each other. Some had believed it while others thought it was nonsense and arguments rose between them. They were all in groups discussing about the topic when Miray walked in.

"What the h.e.l.l do you all think you are doing?!" A familiar voice came from behind them. They turned around to see who it was and within a blink of an eye, everybody disappeared to their desks.

"I could fire all of you and get new employees within a day, do you know how many people would love to be in your place?!" Miray's eyes were filled with anger. They all looked at her with fear for it felt like doom's day. She took a deep sigh and walked to her office while Jeff followed her behind.

Jeff stood by the door as he watched Miray's movements."Bad mood?"

"Tell me why I shouldn't fire them?" Miray was typing something on her laptop.

Jeff was still standing by the door then he took a few steps forward and sat on the chair opposite Miray. "Just wait till the second half of the year.... Most of our projects are still in process, it wouldn't be a great idea to get new employees."

Miray paused for a moment, gave Jeff a meaningful look and then closed her laptop. If he didn't interfere, she would have fired all of the current employees and employed new ones.

"You are right, there is too much tension going on now to hire new employees... Let's wait till the second half of the year."

Jeff felt at ease, for Miray wasn't someone easy to convince. He studied her mood and saw that she was calm despite the rumours about her having a b.a.s.t.a.r.d child. "So what are you going to do about the rumors?"

"Aah that, let's have a meeting with everyone.." Miray stood up from her sit and went out of the office with Jeff.

"Meeting room, now!".

No one dared to alter a word as they followed her behind. After they entered the meeting room became silent. It gave them mental torture. Miray stood with her back facing them while looking in the direction of the window. Some of them prepared for the worst, while other were hoping Jeff had managed to save them from getting fired. They were still panicing; what was 2 minutes felt like a year to them.

"Your continual to work at this company will depend on your performance today.." Miray paused intentionally as she turned around to face them so that they could see the serious look on her face.

"Peter check all the news outlets that have published the scandal about me, Rita sue all of them until they are bankrupt! Nene prepare a statement for the press, stating that I am not married neither do I have a child and Jeff try to find a way to calm down our major investors... And lastly make sure that whichever news outlet agency is responsible, disappears..." Those last words she said, gave them all chills. She was like a wolf, ready to hunt her prey.

They started getting busy doing research. Miray smiled to herself as she saw how energetic they became. During lunch time n.o.body went out and they all, including Miray, skipped their meal.

After working the whole day, the situation was handled and the team leaders went into the boss's office to inform her of the outcome.

Miray sat with her arms and legs crossed as the four people stood in front of her. She gave them a cold gaze and then pointed at Peter to start with the report.

"Most of the news outlets had copied and used the pictures from AXH news agency's hot topics. The photos were taken by Max Ping, one of their photographers and he worked with Susan Boyle, the rookie reporter, ....I have already taken down all of the photos from the internet", Peter left a file on top of the desk and Miray started to a.n.a.lysize the details that were in the file.

"I have already opened a lawsuit against AXH news agency for using false information, defamation and misconduct of work ethics... Since its a small agency, they will go bankrupt in less than a week..." Continued Rita as she also left a doc.u.ment on Miray's desk. While nodding Miray turned her head to look at Jeff.

" I talked with our investors and no withdraws were made due to the news.." reported Jeff with a smile.

Nene was the last one to talk, "the statement has been released to the press as you requested ma'am."

After their report Miray was impressed, " good job, Jeff take everyone to the best restaurant and buy them a meal," she took out a black card from her purse and handed it to Jeff. "Aah, Jeff and Rita, you two should go to Mr Carlos to sign the contract tomorrow...."

They were surprised, they did not expect her to actually buy them dinner.

"One more thing, make sure that by the end of the week, this AXH news agency disappears..." Miray added before they left her office.
