Chapter 568: Pick Up the Gun!
The group of mercenaries was disdainful of Jian Qi’s reaction. One of the men said to the other person, “Didn’t you say this kid is quite capable? How can he be so scared?”
Jian Qi could tell that he did not suspect her.
How could the other party see through her acting skills so easily?
However, Jian Qi realized that something was wrong when she heard what he said. She took advantage of the fact that he was not looking at her. Then, she threw away her two phones and the dagger.
The boat was moving at a fast speed. There was no reaction even if she threw her phone down.
They let her lean against the side of the boat as two of the mercenaries walked toward the two dead slaves. After searching for a while, they found the WeChat CCTV and two signaling devices.
The mercenary leader sneered. “Throw the corpses into the sea and feed it to the sharks.”
His subordinate threw the camera and the transmitter into the sea.
One of the mercenaries said, “It seems like a lot of people are trying to take advantage of the loopholes. Before we enter the island, we should check it out first!”
The mercenary leader nodded and looked at Jian Qi coldly. “Bring this brat over and see if there’s any problem.”
As soon as the mercenary said so, two of his subordinates walked toward Jian Qi and pulled her over.
At that moment, another mercenary came over with a scanner. He scanned Jian Qi from head to toe.
“Nothing. It’s safe,” the mercenary reported.
One of the mercenaries came over and looked at Jian Qi. He wasn’t satisfied with her frightened expression.
“What’s your name?” the mercenary asked.
“Qi- Qi Zai.”
“I saw that you were quite ruthless in s.n.a.t.c.hing the bread just now,” the mercenary said.
Jian Qi gulped nervously. “Hungry…”
“Follow me from now on. I guarantee that you won’t starve for the rest of your life!” The mercenary smiled.
Jian Qi looked at him in disbelief. “Rea- Really?”
The mercenary nodded. “Yes, but you have to promise me that you’ll do whatever I ask you to do in the future!”
Jian Qi nodded quickly. “I promise, I promise. As long as I don’t starve.”
The mercenary smiled, but his smile was rather strange.
Then, he handed the gun to her. “Later, you’ll kill whoever I tell you to kill!”
Jian Qi’s hands trembled when she heard what the mercenary said. She was so scared that she couldn’t even hold the gun properly and dropped it on the ground.
When the others saw what Jian Qi did, they started laughing at her.
One of them said to the mercenary beside Jian Qi, “Ah Feng, this person is so timid and useless.”
The mercenary who was mocked looked at Jian Qi coldly. “Pick up the gun!”
Jian Qi swallowed her saliva nervously. Then, she obediently squatted down and picked up the gun from the ground. She held it tightly in her hand again, but she was trembling.
The mercenary named Ah Feng warned her coldly. “If you don’t dare to shoot, I’ll kill you. It’s useless, anyway. It’s a waste of food!”
