Hearing Tianming's rude reply, Demoness Yin smiled and winked like she would at a naughty child. "You killed my only son, Lin Ke, right?"

"What if I did?" The moment he said that, the other elites of Intrepidus turned even colder with killing intent.

"It's a big deal, you know. You ended my family line right there," she coquettishly said. Her reaction was completely different from her compatriots'.

"You can always birth a new one, I bet! A new son for the dead one!"

"Well... I happen to be lacking a man," Demoness Yin said, biting her lip.

Tianming was speechless at that response. A woman of her caliber could get all the men in Intrepidus to submit with a single wave of her hand. Why would that even be an issue?! He had an unfortunate streak of meeting the prettiest women that just happened to be liars and frauds, Yi Daiyan in particular. "It's got nothing to do with me."

"That won't do. You're the one that ended my family line, so you have to take responsibility. If you don't, I'll have to take revenge against you."

"How do you want me to take responsibility, then?" Tianming furrowed his brow in confusion. He was the one who killed her son, so shouldn't she be raving mad and trying to kill him?

"Since you killed my son, if you want to live, you must live with me. Help me birth another and we'll be even," she said, lowering her head and blus.h.i.+ng.
