Chapter 92 - Tooth.
Jessie, thank you for your Ko-Fis! Extra chapter!
Liang Chulin spoke with sincerity: “Brother Liang Liang is amazing.”
The fact that it was amazing was immediately apparent upon a.n.a.lysis. Even with the female student population’s votes added together, it was insufficient to reach 20,000 votes and that was accounting for the possibility of minor accounts as well, which goes to show that even the majority of the males in the school had helped out, proving that You Liangxing was not only the most popular amongst the girls, but that was the case – overwhelming so – for the boys too.
Why is he this amazing, it’s simply… vexing, Kang Shengzhe thought, completely losing his appet.i.te.
Liang Chulin did not expect that there would be that many votes either. But in front of the towering mountain of votes, his heart and eyes were only filled with delectation once the shock subsided. He had always admired You Liangxing, and in the moment of his happiness, he was only concerned with saving the screenshot for posterity. When he had enough of staring, he finally scrolled down.
“You’re actually in second place,” Liang Chulin scrunched is face before he continued reading, “Two thousand and thirty-two votes, you’re missing a zero compared to Brother Liang Liang. Tch, you’re very far off compared to Brother Liang Liang…”
Suddenly, Liang Chulin paused and managed to stop himself from speaking. Initially, he was intending to tease Kang Shengzhe in a sedulous fas.h.i.+on, but as he scrolled down, he saw that he was in the eighth place and his vote count was three-quarters less than that of Kang Shengzhe and it barely crossed the threshold of five hundred. Instantaneously, his complexion became bitter and he stopped talking.
He might not have said it, but it did not matter either way because Kang Shengzhe was no longer listening to him. Polis.h.i.+ng off his dinner plate, he took advantage of the dim light of the night and ran off in a hurry.
Liang Chulin could not call him back no matter how hard he tried: “Where are you even running off to? There are still matters to settle regarding the cla.s.s committee!”
Kang Shengzhe said from the distance: “Do it in my stead.”
“Like h.e.l.l I will do it in your stead! Do it yourself…” But before his voice could land, the person had already disappeared. Liang Chulin choked on his words and he could not make a sound for a long while. When he came back to himself, he could only kick his feet up and scold him. “Garbage Kang Shengzhe! Stupid tall b.a.s.t.a.r.d!!”

After not seeing You Liangxing for a day, Kang Shengzhe chose not to use WeChat to talk to him and ran directly to his dorm. When he calculated the time, he was certain that You Liangxing was still in the school compound and he had yet to leave.
Kang Shengzhe climbed up the stairs in large strides, and when he reached the dorm and found it unlocked, he heaved a sigh of relief in his heart.
As he pushed open the door to enter the room, Kang Shengzhe’s breath quickened, mind filled with thoughts that were flying wildly and most of them were tinged with the scent of vinegar. However, when he entered the room, there was no one in front or behind the table. Liao Su was not around while You Liangxing was lying on his bed and he was already asleep.
For a person like You Liangxing, who abided by a regular pattern for his daily schedule rigorously, sleeping at this time was essentially unprecedented. Kang Shengzhe froze, all his previous sentiments sweeping away cleanly as it was quickly superseded by the thought that You Liangxing might be feeling unwell somewhere.
Stretching his hand out, he tested You Liangxing’s body temperature and scrutinised his complexion to check if there were any traces of pain or discomfort. It was only when he found that nothing was awry that he settled his heart down, albeit reluctantly.
Thankfully, he only happened to fall asleep.
“That scared me…” Realising that it was a false alarm, helplessness surfaced after his fear had pa.s.sed. If he was able to sleep alone in the dormitory at this sort of timing, he must be really tired.
Kang Shengzhe started feeling a little distressed when he thought about that, and as he continued to stare at You Liangxing’s sleeping countenance, he unconsciously threw out all the grievances he had before he entered the door.
He had no choice; after seeing You Liangxing’s face, it felt like someone was tickling his heart– and how could he possibly stay angry over trifles? He exhibited the wonders of being two metres tall as he propped his chin on the upper bunk bed above You Liangxing, but his long arms ensured that Liang Liang’s face was still well within his reach. Unable to help himself, he held his head and murmured: “Why are you so handsome…”
Yes, he was handsome, too handsome in fact. Kang Shengzhe admitted that prior to this, he felt no sense of crisis, but the alarms in his head finally went off after the events that had transpired today. Where Liang Chulin thought of the voting as You Liangxing having more than 20,000 fans, Kang Shengzhe saw the same numbers as 20,000 love rivals instead.
Love rivals, with no distinction between male and female, and there were more twenty thousand of them!
With such a huge crisis, it should come as no suprise that even Kang Shengzhe would start feeling anxious instantaneously in spite of the personality he had.
… He was basically dying of anxiety.
There were so many love rivals outside while his relations.h.i.+p with Liang Liang still remained the same. The test he conducted previously did not have its desired yield, and Kang Shengzhe deeply regretted the hesitation and the lack of strength he had back then.
If he had known earlier, he would have gone straight for it and f.u.c.ked him from the front…
But to bring the conversation back to the topic at hand, he knew that Liang Liang’s att.i.tude towards him was lukewarm at best. However, if You Liangxing were to be swapped out for another boy, none of them would have taken care of him, tolerated and made allowances for him, helped him find a house and even let him sleep in their own bed. When these favours, one after another, were piled together, it represented that he had a lot of hope.
Kang Shengzhe’s heart started working up a beat. You Liangxing’s face was merely a distance away. He stretched his hand out and traced You Liangxing’s eyebrows before he carefully caressed You Liangxing’s lips. The warmth that was being transmitted to his fingertips entranced him a little. There was no one around, and the time and day were favourable, thus Kang Shengzhe mustered his courage and leaned his head over, giving him an abrupt kiss.

You Liangxing was not sleeping deeply and it was rather fuzzy in quality. In his dream, he kept having the sensation that someone was peeping at him and it was stifling.
Perhaps because he could not disa.s.sociate himself from the training he did regularly, You Liangxing’s bodily reactions were always faster than his thoughts. When a shadow came rus.h.i.+ng at him, he immediately broke away from his sleep and his hand clenched into a fist as it shot out.
His fist happened to hit something very hard and a wave of tingling pain pa.s.sed through You Liangxing’s hand. If it hurt that much to hit someone, the person who was at the receiving end of his punch must be feeling worse. Still in a post-sleep trance, You Liangxing rubbed his forehead, and he only looked over two seconds after he had sobered up. What greeted him was the two-metre-tall Kang Shengzhe clasping his mouth as he was hunched over the ground, having shrunk himself into a ball. His shoulders were subtly shaking, and he looked extremely pitiful.
You Liangxing’s eyelid twitched and he thought silently in his heart: Knew it was him.
He originally intended to ignore him, but after a few seconds, Kang Shengzhe was still squatting on the ground, motionless. You Liangxing’s brows knitted together as he stated, “Are you almost done?”
Kang Shengzhe continued to cover his mouth, not speaking even after half a beat. You Liangxing’s heart jolted and he got off his bed in a hurry, asking after him: “Are you all right?”
The punch he executed just now was borne out of conditioned reflex and there were no proper limits set for it, and it was at this moment that the fear of the aftermath swept over his absentminded state. And perhaps, due to the excessive worry and the gravity he could discern from You Liangxing’s expression, Kang Shengzhe put away the thoughts of wanting to feign his pain. Instead, he chose to reply with an “I’m fine.”
Despite saying he was fine, his hand was still subconsciously covering his mouth. You Liangxing reached over and pulled his hand away and Kang Shengzhe reluctantly exposed the red swollen corner of his mouth. Afterwards, he turned his head to spit out a mouthful of blood and saliva.
The traces of blood being mixed within it could not be faked. You Liangxing’s nerves twitched, complexion undergoing a huge change. Although Kang Shengzhe had some difficulty speaking, he still chose to blurt out a few words in the face of his strange expression and worry. “Liang Liang, I’m fine, only the skin on my lips broke.”
You Liangxing’s visage was heavy, stuck between belief and doubt. Hence, Kang Shengzhe could only shake his head thrice while he promised, “I’m really fine.”
In the beginning, You Liangxing was not fully awake, but now that he was sober, he was annoyed at himself for acting so quickly. Even though he hadn’t intended it, if he really injured Kang Shengzhe with that punch, then he….
“Are you really all right?”
Kang Shengzhe pursed his lips tightly before he shook his head.
The person who had hit him was himself, and You Liangxing knew he could not let matters be. He said, “This won’t do, we’re going to the school’s medical office.”
Kang Shengzhe did not resist. However, after taking two steps out of the room, his footsteps came to an abrupt halt and his mien became complicated.
Anxious, You Liangxing asked, “What’s wrong?”
Kang Shengzhe said, “Give me a moment, I, I feel like something is not right…”
As soon as those words fell, Kang Shengzhe bent over his waist and opened his mouth. After he moved his tongue around, he spat out a complete tooth into the palm of his hand, alongside some blood.
You Liangxing: “……”
Kang Shengzhe: “……”
The author has something to say: Have you ever seen someone lose their teeth after stealing a kiss.
Henceforth, you have witnessed it.
[This is a piece of sincere love from an old mother to her son.]
