Chapter 60: The Orc Army!
In the next moment, a brand-new wheel of law was formed in his hand.
After the wheel of law appeared, the wind that revolved around him instantly cut the branches, gra.s.s, and soil into countless tiny particles.
Su Han looked at the wheel of law that revolved in his hand and said faintly, “This is the effect of cutting.”
Su Han stood in the middle of the fierce wind. The sharp wind blades surrounded him. The Wind b.u.t.terflies hidden in the storm did not dare to approach him.
In the carriage, Su Yu’er stuck her head out and stared blankly at Su Han, who was standing in front of the carriage. She muttered, “Brother.”
In the past few months, she had seen with her own eyes how hard her brother worked. Other than eating, he spent almost all his time meditating, exercising, and studying the introduction to the demonic path left by her mother.
Although she still could not understand how her brother could cast spells without chanting, it was the truth that her brother was getting stronger bit by bit.
Under the carriages, the few adventurers were so scared that their eyes were glazed over. They could vaguely see the youth floating in the storm through the window. The powerful storm did not affect him at all. This feeling made them feel waves of fear.
They subconsciously looked at each other and saw the fear in each other’s eyes.
They had taken notice of the two children, and even thought of killing them directly.
“I finally know why you dare to venture out at such a young age,” one of the adventurers said in a trembling voice, “That young man is at least a tier-2 mage. To possess such great power at such a young age, the forces behind them are absolutely terrifying!”
The storm lasted for three hours before it finally stopped. The night had already pa.s.sed. Rambus’ people walked out of the carriage, and the adventurers who were almost buried under the branches of the trees also crawled out with their faces covered in dust.
Su Han also stopped his cultivation and fell to the ground from the sky.
The other adventurers also came out of the carriage one after another. Only a few nearby adventurers showed fear in their eyes when they saw Su Han.
The surrounding adventurers mocked, “What? A small storm scared the three of you so much that your legs went soft?”
“What useless trash. He’s not even as good as two little brats.”
The three people ignored their taunts and quickly walked away from Su Han and the others. They thought to themselves, ‘If you had seen the scene in the storm, you wouldn’t have compared us to that youth…’
Encountering the storm was just a small interlude. Because the team had long been prepared, they didn’t lose too much.
They could have reached Saint Laurent City at dawn, but the storm had delayed them for a while.
Therefore, the team did not plan to rest during the day.
Soon, the team set foot on the road to Saint Laurent City again.
Although the female commander of the Snow Wolf Legion had warned Rambus not to move around during the night, he acted as if nothing had happened. He completely threw all the warnings to the back of his mind. The entire team did not have any defenses, nor did they have any vigilance.
“It’s a little unusual.” Su Han frowned.
The sky gradually brightened. They would probably arrive at Saint Laurent City in the afternoon.
At noon, the caravan stopped to rest again. The adventurers sat around the bonfire or under the roots of the trees to rest.
Su Han sat on the ground and entered into meditation.
Half an hour later, Su Han suddenly frowned and raised his nose to smell. He smelled an unusual smell in the wind.
“That’s…” Su Han suddenly opened his eyes.
“Orcs!”
He had smelled the unique scent of orcs when he was in the valley.
Almost at the same time, a beast roar came from the forest, and the expressions of the people around immediately changed.
“It’s the orcs! There’s an enemy attack!” someone shouted.
The next moment, an arrow was pierced into his chest.
The scene immediately became chaotic. One strong figure after another rushed out from the forest. They held huge axes in their hands and wore half-body leather armor. Their green skin and sharp fangs symbolized their ident.i.ty.
“Orcs, d.a.m.n it! We’ve encountered orcs!” the surrounding adventurers shouted.
They looked around and saw more than a hundred orcs in the forest. With so many orcs, all the adventurers instantly fell into despair.
However, at this moment, the robust warrior beside Rambus suddenly stood up and shouted something at the orcs in a strange language.
He held a fang carved with a certain font in his hand and raised it high.
The orcs who saw the fang all stopped.
Su Han immediately narrowed his eyes. Rambus actually dared to collude with the orcs?
“I am Wizard Rambus!” Rambus walked out of the carriage and said loudly, “I am a friend of your chief!”
Although the orcs had stopped killing, their blood-red eyes were still filled with hostility as they stared at the adventurers.
After a moment, the orcs gradually separated. An orc with hair all over his face and a huge sword in his hand walked out. Obviously, he was the leader of this orc army.
“It’s been a long time, Karusi.”
Rambus immediately went up to him and said, “Do you still remember me? A few months ago, I saw your awe-inspiring appearance on the battlefield at the border. Your figure is still in my mind.”
The orc named Karusi directly sent Rambus flying with a slap.
“Don’t get close to me, human!”
“The chieftain’s token isn’t enough for me to let you go!”
Despite being slapped by the orc in front of so many people, Rambus wasn’t angry at all. Instead, he quickly stood up and said respectfully, “Warrior Karusi, of course we know the rules. I have already prepared the people.”
He pointed at the adventurers gathered together and said with a smile, “Those people’s heads are yours, Warrior Karusi. I know the rules of the great orc race. The heads of the enemies are the most valuable battle achievements.”
After hearing his words, the adventurers’ faces changed drastically. A man said in horror, “I’ve heard that since the new leader of the orc tribe came to power ten years ago, the orc tribe has set a new rule. As long as the heads are taken off after killing humans on the battlefield, they can get huge rewards and war achievements when they bring them back.”
“No wonder that guy, Rambus, brought us through this forest at such a low price. It turns out that he had an agreement with the orc tribe a long time ago. We were all cheated!”
“They brought us here to sell us to the orcs!”
The surrounding adventurers roared and came to their senses. They clenched their fists and wanted to kill their way out.
However, Rambus’ people and the orcs were on the same side. There was no way they could escape.
“Brother… I’m so scared!” Su Yu’er trembled as she curled up in Su Han’s arms. Su Han stared at Rambus and the orcs expressionlessly and said, “Don’t be afraid. With me here, no one can touch you!”
