Chapter 565: Died On The Spot

The street where the Lucky Cloud Pavilion was had been a busy street since day one, and today was particularly lively due to the live-streaming session. There were many local people who had come to watch, wanting to witness the process of the sick killers’ apology.
However, little had they expected that the people from the Phantom Lord would show up while they were on the way to the training ground to save Anmisu and Matthew.
Right now, Anmisu was holding Fu Yuan at gunpoint, using him as his s.h.i.+eld to stop the police officers from shooting him.
The other members of the Phantom Lord also seized this chance and took control of the remaining civilians.
The policemen were concerned about the safety of the public and dared not act rashly.
There was a tense stand-off happening between the two sides.
The sheriff was still bleeding from a gunshot wound in his arm. He took a step forward and said anxiously, “Calm down, Anmisu! We can talk it over! You have to know that you’re holding a Chinese man hostage, and if anything happens to him, his country will send an army after you! You will not be able to leave this place alive!
.
“Also, we have no idea who the girl that apprehended Matthew is, so there’s no way we can get to her! You can ask for something else. We’ll try our best to do it for you!”
“Since I dare to do this, I have no intention of walking out of here alive. I don’t care whether he’s from China or Country M. All I want is that woman. I’ll count to ten, and if she doesn’t show up, I’ll kill every single person here!” Anmisu threatened as he glared viciously at everyone.
“Ahh!” Someone shouted.
“Shut your d*mn mouth!” Anmisu fired a shot at that person’s leg. “I’ll kill you first if you don’t stop shouting!”
“Please… Please don’t kill me…” The man covered his mouth with his hand as he grabbed his leg, which had been shot by Anmisu. Blood was oozing out of the wound, and a few people hastily came forward to drag him away.
Then, Anmisu barked out an order at his underling. “You! Go and get those cameras!”
“A nameless hero? An angel from heaven? Hah!” Anmisu scoffed as he read through the comments. “She’s just a b*tch, and you guys consider her your G.o.ddess? This is ridiculous! Today, I’ll show you guys how I’ll beat that so-called G.o.ddess of yours to a meaty pulp!”
“What an ignorant fool. You have no idea who you’re going up against,” Fu Yuan chimed in.
“Shut up!” Anmisu shouted.
The tension in the air increased.
[What the f*ck? Let that man go!]
[I really hope I could be there right now and kick his *ss!]
[In any case, they must not hand that girl over to him!]
[This is so frustrating! How could they let something like this happen?! What the h.e.l.l is their army doing?]
—
No one in the live-streaming room wanted to hand the woman who had apprehended Matthew over to Anmisu. However, the situation in the streets was different. Most people had gone shopping, while some of them were there to watch the fun.
They had not expected something like this to happen at all!
“Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five…”
As Anmisu was counting down, the crowd was getting more and more restless.
Anmisu pointed his gun at the man he had shot just now.
“Don’t shoot! Don’t shoot! I don’t want to die yet! No! No!” The man shouted hysterically while the people of the Phantom Lord dragged him out. He tried his best to fight them, but to no avail. In the end, he was thrown beside Anmisu.
“Four, three…”
Not wanting to die, the man suddenly turned around and shouted at the sheriff, “Sheriff! Sheriff! Hand that woman to them and save me! I’m just an ordinary person! I’ve done nothing wrong! The Equinox Flower case has nothing to do with us, so why should we be sacrificed?”
“That’s right, sheriff!”
“Give her to them and save us!”
“She shouldn’t have poked her nose into something that had nothing to do with her!”
“Why must we be responsible for her actions?”
“How could she be so irresponsible?!”
Everyone began to shout and scream, demanding that the police department hand Fu Zhi over to Anmisu.
After all, they had done nothing wrong. This had nothing to do with them. They were just ordinary people who had come here to have fun and did not deserve this at all.
Seeing that the situation was getting more and more out of control, Fu Yuan psyched himself up and said, “Anmisu, I understand that you’re angry with my niece right now, but violence can’t solve all problems. If you surrender now, I can talk to my niece and ask her to let you go when she gets here.”
“Are you looking down on me?” Anmisu hissed as he kicked Fu Yuan’s stomach, sending him to the ground.
Well, Fu Yuan did not blame Anmisu at all. Everyone thought they were at the top of the world when they were young. Anmisu’s life had been smooth sailing since he was born. He had never experienced a defeat in his life and he had never been beaten by Fu Zhi before.
However, it did not matter. Fu Yuan had a hunch that Anmisu was going to experience his first defeat at Fu Zhi’s hand.
As if the sheriff could read his mind, he shouted, “We’ve already called her, and she’s on her way now!”
“I’ll give you guys three more minutes. If she still doesn’t show up by then, you will have to bear the consequences yourselves.”
The sheriff had no other choice but to call Fu Zhi again.
Inside the live-streaming room, some people supported the sheriff, while others bristled into a rage.
[??? What? Are you f*cking kidding me?]
[Well, I kind of understand the sheriff. After all, he’s a policeman and he has to protect his own people, right?]
[So? Does that mean that he can sacrifice our G.o.ddess?]
[Yeah, right! This group of people should be responsible for their own actions. They knew that the police would be escorting two serial killers on this street today, so why couldn’t they just stay in their houses and watch the live-streaming session like us?]
—
The sheriff was as anxious as if there were ants in his pants.
He tried to ask for reinforcements from other departments, including China, but Anmisu and his group were experienced. They were using the hostages as their s.h.i.+eld, and the lack of tall buildings on this street had deprived the snipers of spots to take cover.
Very soon, three minutes had pa.s.sed.
This time, Anmisu ran out of patience and pointed his gun at the man. Just as he was about to pull the trigger, a voice erupted behind him.
“Put your gun down!”
Anmisu was stunned. He turned his head slowly and looked toward the source of the voice.
Fu Zhi jumped out of w.a.n.g Rao’s car.
She was now holding a phone, and it seemed like she was talking to somebody. “The situation is now under control. The snipers and the other armed personnel are on standby, waiting for my orders. Can you let me handle Anmisu and Fu Yuan?”
The person on the other side of the line replied without any hesitation. “Okay. Be careful.”
Fu Zhi breathed out a sigh and hung up the call. Her anger had been building up ever since she had received a call from the sheriff, and right now, it was time for her to unleash her wrath. She slammed the door shut and walked toward Anmisu with confident steps.
It was only then that Anmisu snapped out of his trance. He was a little bit frustrated about his reaction to Fu Zhi’s sudden appearance. He stared at Fu Zhi and asked, “Who are you?”
Matthew had been hiding inside the car behind Anmisu. When he saw Fu Zhi, his face turned pale and his legs went limp. He put the handcuffs on his hands himself and crawled out.
“Please don’t hit me. I’m not trying to run away. Please don’t hit me.”
When he noticed that the people from the Phantom Lord were looking at him as if he was a lunatic, he said, “You guys are still young. You will understand after you get beaten by her.”
They did not know what they should say.
Fu Zhi walked into the crowd, and the sheriff gulped nervously and took a step back when he saw how dark her expression was.
He was kind of relieved that Fu Zhi was on their side. If she was on Anmisu’s side, G.o.d knew what would happen to them.
Fu Zhi stopped three meters away from Anmisu. “I heard that you’ve been looking for me? I’m here now. Let them go and we will talk.”
Rather than say that Fu Zhi was talking to him, it would be more appropriate to say she was commanding him. Anmisu looked at Fu Zhi curiously and said, “You’re the one who caught my brother? Are you kidding me? You look just like a dwarf.”
A dwarf…
Fu Zhi felt something inside of her snap when she heard that comment.
Meanwhile, Fu Yuan was trying to run away, as he did not want to get involved in this.
Anmisu kicked him in the leg and snarled, “Be quiet!”
“Cut the c.r.a.p. Either you’ll let them go, or I’ll leave now. However, no matter the choice you make, you won’t be able to walk out of here alive,” Fu Zhi said impatiently.
A stream of messages swarmed into the live-streaming room when everyone heard Fu Zhi’s voice.
[Hold on a second! Don’t you guys think this voice is familiar?]
[Erm… Now that you mentioned it, it does sound familiar… Is she FZ?]
[Did I hear Fu Yuan calling Fu Zhi “niece” just now?]
[Are you serious? How can you hear when it’s so noisy over there? Besides, how is there any possibility that Fu Zhi would be in Myanmar when she still has to attend school?]
[If she’s Fu Zhi, you guys can use my head to play football!]
Anmisu thought for a while and nodded. He let the commoners go, but he kept Fu Yuan by his side.
He then waved at Fu Zhi and said, “Come over here and apologize to my brother.”
He wanted to heal the wounds in Matthew’s heart and soul so that they could rule the world with fear again.
Fu Zhi paid him no mind. She stood firmly on the spot and said, “If you want me to apologize to him, ask him to come and stand in front of me. Otherwise, I won’t do it.”
“No!” A man beside Anmisu interrupted. “You must not listen to her, boss. She must be up to no good.”
Then, he turned to Fu Zhi and snapped, “Stop talking back to us and do as you’re told!”
Fu Zhi squinted her eyes and sneered. “Look around you. You don’t have any hostages with you anymore, so what makes you think you can act c.o.c.ky in front of me?”
He pointed his gun at Fu Yuan and said, “I’ll kill him!”
“Go ahead. There will be one less mouth to feed. After you kill him, you’re going to die with him!”
Fu Yuan, who could eat three bowls of rice in one meal, was speechless.
“Save your breath. She’s just a woman!” Anmisu said. “I can make quick work of her.”
Matthew stuck his head out and said, “But…”
“There’s no but!”
As he was talking, he did not give Fu Zhi a chance to react before he dashed toward her at full speed.
Just as he was about three meters away from Fu Zhi, he raised his arms high in the air.
Bang!
A puff of dust rose into the air as Fu Zhi punched Anmisu, sending him flying into the ground not far away and killing him in the process.
Everyone was stunned. Anmisu’s underlings, who were standing not far away, shouted at the top of their lungs, “Boss! How could you die and leave all of us behind?!”
