Gu Chaoyan put away the authority token carefully and placed it in her pocket. Then she looked at Zhou Huaijin with a smile. “Is that okay?”

Zhou Huaijin nodded and caressed her head, then he served both her and himself a cup of tea.

Gu Chaoyan took up the teacup, sipped it and said, “I plan to bring Shen Tai to have a look at those things at Shadow Door.”

Gu Chaoyan did not even address those things as people, just things.

Zhou Huaijin looked a bit confused when he heard the name. For one moment, he just could not think of who that was.

Gu Chaoyan continued. “Shen Tai is the man that was injured by those things. He might not have seen what those things were, but he was the victim, and he should be able to have a rough idea of it. I hope that I am able to obtain some practical information from him. We don’t have any clue at the moment, do we?”

Hearing what Gu Chaoyan said, Zhou Huaijin suddenly remembered.

Shen Tai was the badly-injured man from the mountains, who was brought back to life by Chaoyan at Xinlin Clinic. However, later when he and Chaoyan left on their trip, the patient stayed at Xinlin Clinic and by this point, he should have recovered.

If he could have a look at those things, that might be a solution too.

Just as Chaoyan said, they truly had no clue of what was going on. Maybe Shen Tai was able to offer some useful information under such a circ.u.mstance.

“That sounds like a practical idea, but we have to inform Shadow Door about it. Also, you will have to tell Shen Tai that he has to be blind-folded when he is taken to Shadow Door.”

She did not think that the visit to Shadow Door would be easy, so she decided to get up early and save some time.
