Chapter 358: Get Me Someone Who Is Good with Words

Up ahead, Green Hill was a mess.

The ground several hundred kilometers around it was split apart and the mountains nearby had collapsed. Raging Sword Will and immortal strength still swirled in the air, and average Sufferance-elites would have a hard time escaping alive if they entered this place.

As Jiang He stood upon the ruins and looked at the numerous ma.s.sive fox corpses lying on the ground, he could not help feeling a little emotion right then!

Just as he had imagined, plans would never catch up to change.

When he arrived, he was ready to go through a tough fight here at Green Hill.

How could he have imagined that thirteen Violet Sky Thunder Talismans were enough to strike down every Mahayana Fox of Green Hill?

Hmmm...

Actually, it was quite a tough fight.

The immortal daemon corpse had troubled Jiang He considerably, leaving bleeding from the mouth and his qi unsettled. His right shoulder, too, was...

“Eh?”

Jiang He looked at his shoulder, only to find that it was still a blob of blood and flesh. “What’s going on?” He could not help exclaiming. “Why aren’t my wounds healing on its own?”

Right now, his physique was powerful and his regeneration ability was supposedly so frightening that it healed normal injuries in minutes.

The wound on his shoulder, however, was swirling with immortal might as well as strands of dead qi, which obstructed the regeneration of the flesh.

Helpless, Jiang He had to slap a band-aid on it. It would not do if the dead qi caused teta.n.u.s or muscle death.

After some thought, he took an Amoxicillin capsule and three Bezoar Detox Pills as well, and it came as no surprise that his shoulder injury healed completely in less than half a minute.

Jiang He then landed on the ground and picked up every last Daemon Fox corpse. Naturally, he did not leave behind their daemon weapons and Spatial Rings either.

The Green Hill Foxes certainly had deep pockets—each of the Elder Foxes possessed at least two premium-grade sage times, one for attack and the other for defense. Three of them even had demi-immortal daemonic weapons, not to mention the innumerable items stored in their Spatial Rings: spirit stones, sage items ranging from inferior grade to superior grade, paper talismans, as well as soul plants and materials for crafting medicinal pellets or mystic treasures.

“Hmmm...”

“Counting in Fabulous Fox’s armor, aren’t there four demi-immortal items?”

“After I get home and plant those four items to strengthen them, they would become genuine immortal items... still, the greatest rewards aren’t these four demi-immortal items, but the immortal daemon corpse and that Jade Tower!”

From Jiang He’s perspective, the value of the immortal daemon corpse was definitely higher than immortal items, especially the complete Dao it embodied. If he planted it in his farm, would he not make a killing if the strengthening aspect of his farm grew into several different Dao paths?

Of course, Jiang He would prefer having an immortal daemon then getting a manual.

Even so, there was no a.s.surance of what he would get from planting.

Likewise, the Jade Tower was not bad either.

It would reach the level of mediocre-grade immortal item if it was indeed strengthened after planting. With his current ability and the new h.o.a.rd of immortal items, he could protect himself even if the immortals returned.

“Protect myself...”

“Being only able to protect myself is not my style!”

“My goal is to have the immortals keep their act together even when they returned. Whoever dares to show off in front of me shall be directly slapped to death!”

Jiang He breathed a long sigh.

That goal was as far as it was grand, and seriously difficult to accomplish.

“There are only eight folds in the Three Thousand Calamities, which would only improve me to full-fledged Heavenly Immortal. Likewise, the Nine Heavenly Stars Body Formula only have nine folds, but it is a cla.s.s beneath the Three Thousand Calamities. Even if I reached immortal physically, I would not be much stronger. So...”

“It is time to upgrade the farm and plant more cultivation manuals.”

Jiang He could not help feeling a headache at that very thought!

Time to create cultivation manuals again.

It was a very difficult task, and when he felt uninspired, he would sit idly for hours without knowing how to start. That was no doubt grilling for Jiang He!

“Since I have a.s.sumed the path of a Sword Immortal, I should continue walking it. At the same time, I must not give up on my physique either—aside from my own cultivation, I need to develop a G.o.dly immortal art as well...”

Even as the thought crossed his mind, he strode toward Green Hill.

The cries of mourning resounded across the mountains. Countless Daemon Foxes were wailing for their perished Elders.

Meanwhile, up in the skies, veins of divine minds intertwined.

In their shock, the many elites hidden in the darkness were unable to speak for a long time. It was only until Jiang He stepped foot into Green Hill that some quietly said, “Is Jiang He really a commoner cultivator? Is he really still in his twenties?”

“Is he really not an immortal who has returned from the beyond?”

Whoos.h.!.+

Someone quickly left then.

Logically speaking, after the many Elder Foxes of Green Hill were slain by Jiang He, who had also taken away their immortal item and the immortal daemon corpse, this should have been the best timing to loot the burning house. Even so, that took skill because they could get killed while getting nothing for their misfortune.

Hence, as the first cultivator left, a second cultivator swiftly made himself scarce as well.

All of them appeared ashen-faced, feeling a tiny bit of misery aside from their utter astonishment...

Even in ancient times, Mahayana elites were no weaklings. They were basically an auxiliary corps of immortals, because after weathering the nine retributions to reach Mahayana, most of them would become immortal if nothing unexpected happens. Even so, they were now no more than little chicks before Jiang He, who could kill them however he wanted... it certainly was a huge blow for these elites who had cultivated for one or two thousand years.

There were even some who were ready to emulate the Foxes of Mount Changbai, sealing their mountains and locking their doors so that no disciple would leave before Chaos came, thereby avoiding a provocation on Jiang He.

Meanwhile, up in the skies, a young daemon cultivator with two horns on his head and wearing a brocade appeared terrified and shocked.

Beside him was a Mahayana daemon cultivator.

He then turned toward the brocade-wearing youth and asked, “Jiu’er, is that really the one who had cut down your Yuan Spirit clone before?”

The Adam’s apple of the young daemon cultivator bobbed before he nodded stiffly.

Smack!

The Mahayana daemon cultivator promptly slapped him in the face, leaving the youth’s cheek lopsided while the Mahayana cultivator roared, “Moron! How many times have I told you not to meddle with the profane realm? Why can’t you listen?”

However, the brocade-wearing youth seemed not to feel pain even though his cheek was lopsided.

He dropped to his knees beneath the Mahayana daemon cultivator’s feet, clutching it as he cried, “Father, save me... I... I don’t want to die... I... I was just trying to groom the Dragoncroc Emperor since he carried the lineage of us dragons and possessed outstanding talent. Jiang He was only Golden Pellet at the time, I didn’t imagine he would improve so quickly!”

The young daemon cultivator looked ready to fall apart.

This was Green Hill!

The foxes here were a cla.s.s above them, so if Jiang He came knocking on their door to make trouble... how were they supposed to stop him?

“The Dragoncroc Emperor?”

“Draconic lineage?”

The Mahayana daemon cultivator became even more furious then, but he held back his impulse to slap his insolent son to death and seethed through his teeth, “We are Scaled Dragons. What on earth does that Dragoncroc Emperor have to do with us?”

“Return to our Holy Grounds at once and bring our treasures. Learn from the Ten Thousand Swords Sect and go to Jiang He, apologize to him, and make amends!”

***

Meanwhile, Jiang He had already entered Green Hill.

He could not help feeling awed as he studied its valley which stretched over several hundred kilometers...

What a nice place, with towering mountains and clear waters!

Most importantly, the Spirit Qi here was so concentrated that it would give his farm a run for its money. The average martial artist and cultivator would improve by leaps and bounds if they cultivated here.

“Perhaps I could discuss with the Green Hill Foxes about building a martial arts academy or a cultivator academy here. It definitely would become a Holy Ground for cultivation after a year or so of development.”

At that thought, Jiang He’s divine mind swept out as he flatly asked, “Is there a leader around here?”

A full-fledged Sufferance Daemon Fox flew toward him then.

His eyes were bloodshot as he stared tightly at Jiang He with overflowing hatred, and he seethed through his teeth, “The Green Hill Foxes shall never suffer your existence, Jiang He! You will be dead when our immortals return!”

Jiang He raised his palm, killed it with a single slap, and said, “Get me someone who is good with words.”
