Chapter 425: Teleportation!
Teleportation?
That was the name of that technique too!
Jiang He closed his eyes to remember the descriptions about teleportation.
In that anime, the male lead was drifting through s.p.a.ce when he landed on a planet called Yadrat and learned it. Strictly speaking, it was considered a superpower that could be grasped through endless learning and practice.
“Hmm!”
“I remember that using teleportation requires a qi sense or it would otherwise be impossible. That won’t work for me since the vastness of outer s.p.a.ce means that there might not be anyone within dozens of light years from me. Where would I sense qi then?”
“It seems that teleportation is limited to places where there are other people and living beings, and its impossible to get to lifeless places.”
“Still, I remember that aside from the teleportation method from Yadrat, the Kai in that anime could teleport as well. The latter is teleportation in the genuine sense since Kai could get to any place he wanted!”
Soon, Jiang He opened his eyes, a smile appearing on his face.
He tore a page off his notebook and wrote the t.i.tle ‘teleportation’.
Unknown Fox’s eyes bulged as he exclaimed, “My lord... are you really going to create a lost art of Spatial Dao?”
“It’s just a form of lost art and nothing much.”
Jiang He said flatly, and was about to continue writing when he suddenly realized...
He did not know what to write.
But with Unknown Fox staring from a corner, would he not lose face if he did not keep writing?
Gritting his teeth, Jiang He simply wrote anything that came to mind.
“Teleportation traverses through s.p.a.ce, reaching anyplace so desired.”
With that, he put away his pen and turned towards Unknown Fox with a smile. “What do you think about the G.o.dly teleportation I’ve just created?”
Unknown Fox was dumbstruck.
His first reaction was a curse!
Still, considering that his fate was in Jiang He’s hands and he could get killed with uttering a single word that rubbed Jiang He the wrong way, he beamed and exclaimed, “Profound, profound... you really are a prodigy, my lord, and the teleportation technique you created so casually is truly unmatched.”
“At least your eyes work even if you aren’t that powerful,” Jiang He said, before entering his Farm in a flash.
In the pavilion, Unknown Fox could not help breathing a long sigh and wiped off the sweat on his forehead, feeling as if he had just cheated death.
At the same time, Jiang He redeemed a pack of Living Soil of the Nine Heavens with 3 million Farm Points and planted the teleportation manual.
To tell the truth, he was a little nervous.
“This is much simpler than the G.o.dly cultivation methods I created before, and I did not add any special visual or audio effects either...”
“Whatever. It doesn’t matter if this planting fails since I have many slots for planting cultivation manuals after my Farm leveled up. At worst I would just have to integrate my experiences and redo it again.”
Looking up at the immortal crystal trees filling his farm, Jiang He could not hold back a delighted look from his face from the harvest.
Anything could wait after he quelled his fears by plucking the crystals.
Right now, he had already gathered more than 300 billion Farm Points.
On another note, it would cost 150 billion Farm Points to level up the Scripture of Chaos Thundersword and 100 billion Farm Points to level up the Secret Art of Chaos Thundersword.
Still, Jiang He was not in a hurry.
Golden Immortals were also known as Immortals of Longevity, and there would be a Retribution against Longevity when one rises from True Immortal to Golden Immortal. It was said that it takes a lot to survive that retribution and the power of it was terrifying, so Jiang He decided it would not be too late to face his retribution upon encountering the legion of the Hundred Races Alliance.
After collecting the immortal crystals, Jiang He returned to the spot where he had planted the teleportation manual, only to find that a weird plant was growing out of the ground.
It was bald and without a single leaf, though a jade scroll dangled at the top of the tree.
Jiang He reached out to pluck the jade scroll.
[Ding!]
[+100 million Farm Points.]
Jiang He’s eyes lit up at the sound of the System Notification in his head.
“Teleportation technique, complete!”
“To think that a sentence I had simply written had really become a technique.”
Jiang He then remembered how he had meditated and looked for inspiration when he created the other cultivation manuals before this, even going on Baidu to find materials which he had edited and completed.
Sometimes, he even sat there blankly for ten minutes or even longer just to find a tiny spark of inspiration!
“As I recall, the Scripture of Chaos Thundersword had taken me hours of thinking back when I wrote it. I even got writer’s block two or three times and had to drink three full cups of Elder Tea of Enlightenment... How difficult was that?”
“Do I have to go through such lengths if I had known?”
“All I have to do is write the t.i.tle of the cultivation manual and simply make up a few descriptive sentences.”
Ah!
Jiang He breathed a helpless sigh.
[Spatial-type lost art [Teleportation] detected. Spend 100 billion Farm Points to learn, Host?]
Another System Notification jingled in his head then.
“A hundred million... it’s not that expensive.”
Jiang He was not too surprised.
After all, it involved Spatial Dao—consuming a hefty sum of Farm Points made sense.
“Learn!”
With a single thought...
[Ding!]
[-100 million Farm Points!]
Oom!
At almost the same instant Jiang He thought of it, the curious presence of a Dao arose in his body. Substantial fragments of information about Spatial Dao hence poured into Jiang He’s mind.
“Spatial...”
In that very moment, even if Jiang He had no understanding of Spatial Dao before, substantial instant enlightenments poured into his mind.
Around him, s.p.a.ce surged like the ripples over a watery surface.
Nearby, Dumbo promptly took of his shades, staring as if his eyes would bulge while pointing a paw at Jiang He, exclaiming in surprise, “Quick, look at Master...”
Trumbo, Boa Hanc.o.c.k, the Seven Bottle Gourd Brothers as well as the elegant Lolita that the willow tree had turned into turned toward Jiang He in disbelief.
Jiang He’s figured had become very unusual in their vision.
He was sitting cross-legged right in front of them, but it felt as if he was actually in distant s.p.a.ce at the same time.
It was the visual impact that the spatial ripples around Jiang He’s body caused.
A dozen minutes later...
Phew~
Jiang He let out a long breath and opened his eyes.
The spatial ripples him abruptly paused, and everything returned to normal.
“So Spatial Dao is actually that profound.”
Jiang He smiled with a faint helplessness.
Dumbo walked up and exclaimed, “Congratulations on mastering Spatial Dao, Master!”
Jiang He waved him off and replied humbly, “It’s just a little enlightenment, and not quite mastery... I would be a demi-Saint and not a True Immortal if I had fully mastered it.”
Pausing then, he sighed again and laughed unhappily. “It’s such a shame that I grasped Spatial Dao too quickly to experience the process... Sigh!”
In a flash, he arrived outside the pavilion to find Unknown Fox sitting by the doorway and s.p.a.cing out while looking at the stars.
“Unknown Fox!”
“My lord!”
Unknown Fox quickly stood up at Jiang He’s call and flashed a dazzling grin at him. “Master, I just thought about a method to quickly reach Black Demon Star... We could get to another nearby system and use the portal there to head to Black Demon Star. While we need to transit through a few portals, we would reach Black Demon Star in half a month at most.”
Half a month?
Jiang He was speechless.
It would be too late if I reached Black Demon Star after half a month.
He waved and said, “It doesn’t need to be so troublesome. I’ve created a lost art and somewhat grasped Spatial Dao now, and it would not be impossible to use teleportation.”
“Lead the way. We’ll head to Black Demon Star right now.”
