Chapter 462: Jiang He’s Plan
As the ascension banquet commenced, numerous elegant figures landed in the center of the square.
All of them were female disciples of the Ten Thousand Swords Sect.
Their cultivation was not actually strong, since some of them were Golden Pellets while others were merely Qi Refinists. However, each of them was good-looking and graceful, and all of them might have been disciples accepted in their last recruitment drive.
Swis.h.!.+
With a wave of their hands, various modern musical instruments appeared, with a piano actually appearing on the floor.
More female disciples flew toward the square then, all of them wearing lace stockings and miniskirts and tying their hair into ponytails, unlike the ones before who were dressed in traditional clothing. They even brought sound systems, stage lights, and microphones...
The returning immortals certainly had not seen such a sight, and all of them looked up toward the ladies in curiosity.
At the same time, the Ten Thousand Swords Daoist laughed out loud. “These are all disciples that we, the Ten Thousand Swords Sect, have accepted. After learning that their chieftain had ascended to Heavenly Immortal, they volunteered themselves to put on a performance.”
“What?”
“Wouldn’t dressing like that affect public morals?”
The Ten Thousand Swords Daoist turned toward the Golden Immortal who said that. There was a mocking look hidden just beneath his eyes despite his smiling face and he said, “Brother, could you have been cultivating in seclusion upon returning here to our homeworld, and never once taken a trip among the commoners?”
Unlike the other Golden Immortals, the Ten Thousand Swords Daoist was quite the playful character.
Aside from opening the Ten Thousand Swords Sect to the public and spreading their teachings, he would spend his idle days after returning to the homeworld to walk among commoners. Indeed, he had been traveling across the globe and had learned that the past was indeed in the past.
The ladies now were quite open-minded, and would dress in whatever style made them look good.
Why bother wrapping themselves up like dumplings instead?
In fact, the Ten Thousand Swords Daoist was ill at ease early on, but as time pa.s.sed, he gradually thought that this was better.
Being one who also frequented ‘avenues of romance’, he had developed a pair of discerning eyes—when it comes to a lady’s measurements, he just needs a single glance to roughly estimate it up to ninety percent accuracy.
“Outrageous!”
The Golden Immortal, left with a green-red face from the Ten Thousand Swords Daoist remark, seethed, “How could ladies expose herself? Moreover, they are dressed so scantily, exposing their shoulders and thighs...”
“So what if they did?”
The Ten Thousand Swords Daoist retorted. “Have you not exposed your shoulder or your thigh before? Brother, it’s 2021—have you heard of gender equality? Moreover, our disciples here are merely showing their shoulders and thighs... the people from the other foreign nations could walk in the streets even if they were b.u.t.t-naked.”
“What?”
The Golden Immortal was left thunderstruck, and rose to his feet shakily. Countless thoughts crossed his mind as he felt his world view collapsing. Ultimately a thousand words was finally condensed in a single line, and he seethed, “Brother Ten Thousand Swords, could you tell me which nation it is where women walk b.u.t.t-naked?”
“I must personally see it for myself and rebuke the nation’s education.”
The Ten Thousand Swords Daoist and the many other immortals were left speechless.
Jiang He, who was drinking wine over in a corner, almost choked from laughter.
These immortals were not really decent, were they?
Soon, Jin Sidao flew out of his confinement and headed straight to Jiang He, pouring him and w.a.n.g Hou wine before doing the same for the other Golden Immortals and True Immortals.
After making a lap, he returned to Jiang He’s side.
Jiang He took a closer look at him to find that there was a Dao ripple around him and his aura no longer as weak as before. Indeed, it was a cla.s.s above average Heavenly Immortals, and was at least Heavenly Immortal-intermediate.
One must know that Jin Sidao had not ascended for that long.
Not all cultivators were Jiang He, and even the prodigious cultivators would require long-term seclusion as well as cultivation after reaching Heavenly Immortal, just to improve up to Heavenly Immortal-intermediate.
The key here was that Jin Sidao’s Fortune Qi was abundant.
One would notice from the outset that Fortune Qi coiled around him like a dragon, ensuring smooth sailing for his future cultivation and to turn all crisis he encountered into blessings.
And the sheer size of that Fortune Qi...
Jiang He thought quietly to himself then, “It’s almost one percent of w.a.n.g Hou’s...”
After some small talk, Jiang He cut to the point and said, “I have something I need your help with, Jin Sidao.”
Jin Sidao appeared spirited at that, and exclaimed in delight, “You need just ask, Mister Jiang.”
“It’s the same thing as last time, actually.”
Jiang He smiled. “The last Golden Immortals True Immortals, and Heavenly Immortals who returned to Earth must have brought troves of immortal crystals with them. Come to my house when the banquet is over, and I’ll give you ten million immortal crystals first. After that, you just need to think of something to exchange for all the immortal crystals every immortal on Earth has.”
Jin Sidao was almost shaking at that.
Wow!
Following Jiang He was truly rewarding.
It was only thanks to Jiang He that he became the ‘second’ immortal who ascended following Earth’s Revival of Qi and the strengthening of this planet’s Fortune Qi. Moreover, thanks to Jiang He, he now had a full set of superior-grade immortal items even though he may have just ascended to Heavenly Immortal, as well as over a hundred thousand immortal crystals... a fortune that could match what certain Golden Immortals had.
The newly returned immortals numbered over several dozens of Golden Immortals, around a hundreds True Immortals, and more than a thousand Heavenly Immortals. They would definitely have brought along loads of immortal crystals, and he would earn around a hundred thousand immortal crystals from a single wave of trade, no problem.
“What’s the ratio?” Jin Sidao asked quietly. “I don’t think you need to set the ratio up to 1 to 1.5, as you would lose five hundred thousand immortal crystals for one million...”
“What, don’t you want to earn anything?”
Jiang He chuckled. “My price to you is 1 to 1.5. How much you would earn is up to yourself.”
Jiang He was naturally aware that Jin Sidao had made a profit by gathering a middleman’s fee.
Still, that was fine, since he could just consider it a fee for Jin Sidao’s effort.
After all, would it not be better for Jiang He to use the time he had to farm and sleep, rather than running around on his own?
Almost tearing up in grat.i.tude, Jin Sidao thanked Jiang He repeatedly, a sudden irrepressible impulse rising in him just then...
“If I acknowledge Jiang He as my dad, I don’t have to worry about cultivation resources for the latter half of my life... wait! He is so young, so maybe I could be his daddy instead!”
“Bleh!”
The thought was killed off by Jin Sidao as soon as it came, and he could not help wanting to slap himself a few times and quietly scolded himself, “Jin Sidao! What is a mere Heavenly Immortal like you getting so buoyed about?”
“Mister Jiang could crush you to death a hundred times with just one finger.”
Beside them, w.a.n.g Hou appeared fearful when he found Jin Sidao s.p.a.cing out in his joy, and could not help asking, “Is something on your mind, Brother Jin?”
“I’m alright, I’m alright.”
Jin Sidao promptly waved him off while Jiang He took over the conversation, saying, “Oh, and you could send word that I have recently improved in my item refinement techniques. I’m about to reforge and strengthen a new batch of immortal items, and any immortal just has to pay me a certain fee for me to reforge and strengthen their immortal items.”
“Said fee could be immortal pellet, rare treasures, or other immortal potions. I won’t accept immortal crystals, however.”
“What?”
Jin Sidao was shocked and muttered, “Am I hearing you right, Mister Jiang?”
“Did you just say... reforge and strengthen immortal items?”
Jin Sidao was aware that Jiang He could strengthen mystic treasures.
Jiang He had made the same offer previously, and every mystic treasure he strengthened would increase by one grade. Many elites in the Ten Thousand Swords Sect had their mystic treasures strengthened, though Jiang He’s limit at the time was strengthening demi-immortal items...
Jiang He nodded, while Jin Sidao pressed, “Mister Jiang... is there a limit to the grade of that immortal item?”
“No.”
Jiang He smiled. “Soul treasures can be strengthened, let alone immortal items.”
Jin Sidao’s expression promptly became serious and he said, “I’ll handle this right away once this banquet is over.”
w.a.n.g Hou turned towards Jiang He with a puzzled look.
Helping others strengthen their mystic treasures?
That seemed like a really painstaking but unrewarding effort.
Jiang he smiled calmly.
How could w.a.n.g Hou know what he intended?
Planting mystic treasures and immortal items earned him loads of Farm Points.
Moreover...
He was charging the immortals for it.
So, getting a large batch of immortal pellets and immortal potions to plant with... was basically overwhelming profit!
