Dopey Bear's paw was just inches away from the Ancestral Hall. If Lin Jin was any slower, the building would have been reduced to rubble.

Lin Jin let out a sigh of relief.

He quickly saluted Miao Yan Zhenren and said, "Miao Yan Zhenren, please refrain from losing your temper. Allow me to calm the bear down first. We'll talk about everything else later."

Having said that, Lin Jin hastily gathered clouds below his feet so that he could fly closer to Dopey Bear.

The look of shock continued to linger on Miao Yan Zhenren's face. He felt fortunate that his intense spell didn't harm Lin Jin. However, that raised another question.

How could Lin Jin possibly be fine?

That was impossible.

He had unleashed his profound immortal power, the 'Monoverbal Elimination' technique. When Lin Jin stopped him halfway through the spell, he would have absorbed at least thirty percent of its force.

Such power would have been more than enough to kill a half immortal. Lin Jin was only a mortal, so how did he endure all that?

Even if he didn't die, he should at least be hurt, right?

That baffled Miao Yan Zhenren. There was no way his power was the issue, so why wasn't there even a scratch on Lin Jin?

Lin Jin noticed the Four Ocean Gourd's reaction as well. Others thought it was Lin Jin who activated the magic treasure to protect himself, but that wasn't the case.

Even Lin Jin was unaware that the gourd possessed such an ability. However, now wasn't the time to research it. Lin Jin had to snap Dopey Bear out of its rampage or it would continue wreaking havoc on the sect.

Miao Yan Zhenren was so infuriated initially that he wanted to slay Dopey Bear. Lin Jin took a gamble and stopped him due to the urgency of the situation. Now that he had time to reflect on his actions, Lin Jin realized how reckless he had been. After all, since it was the attack of a profound immortal, he would have sustained severe injuries had he been careless. 

Fortunately, he was fine.

However, Lin Jin had to find out what drove Dopey Bear mad. His reprimand from earlier which successfully stopped Dopey Bear in his tracks was imbued with the museum's deterrence ability. Without it, he couldn't possibly stop Dopey Bear.

Even now, Dopey Bear was about to break free from the temporary intimidation, and things would be worse after that.

Lin Jin had no qualms concerning whether or not Miao Yan Zhenren slays Dopey Bear. Despite its incredible jump in size and strength, it still couldn't compete against Miao Yan Zhenren.

After all, G.o.dzilla was just a large mutant lizard while Dopey Bear was a full-fledged bear. Biologically speaking, bears were far stronger than lizards.

Lin Jin noticed a trace of confusion in Dopey Bear's eyes. Aside from being deterred by the museum's might, Lin Jin knew Dopey Bear still recognized him despite its rampage.

However, it took seconds before hostility returned to Dopey Bear's eyes.

He returned to rampaging mode.

After letting out a mighty roar, it swiped a paw at Lin Jin.

The physical damage brought on by this claw was something not even immortals could withstand.

Lin Jin was startled. His Clear Wind Sword buzzed, an indication that it was about to unsheathe itself. Still, Lin Jin held it down patiently.

Since Lin Jin was a beast appraiser, he had his ways to handle a rampaging beast.

Knowing he couldn't withstand Dopey Bear's attack, Lin Jin decisively opened the Visitation Hall's door and took a step backward.

The Visitation Hall's door was a virtual s.p.a.ce. Once Lin Jin stepped into its territory, he would become virtual, so Dopey Bear's paw struck air instead.

Lin Jin had only started using this phenomenon to his advantage recently. It was challenging since he had to be quick. Any slower and he would be mutilated.

By the time Lin Jin reappeared, he was on top of Dopey Bear's head.

Immediately, he stabbed every needle in his possession into the huge creature, including the Thunderfire Needle and Purple Thunder Needle.

Dopey Bear was so large that he needed to give his all to get it under control. Only then could they figure out how to resolve the issue. Lin Jin had to get to the root of the question – why did Dopey Bear go mad so abruptly?

The thickness of Dopey Bear's skin reminded Lin Jin of st.u.r.dy city walls. Although his needles struggled to pierce its skin, the museum was able to appraise a beast whenever Lin Jin made contact with it.

After realizing the situation, Lin Jin's tense expression loosened up considerably.

Dopey Bear lost its mind, grew in size, and experienced a sharp boost in strength thanks to his gluttony. Or rather, due to his gluttony, he accidentally ingested something unique.
