For the first time in a long time, she felt a little embarra.s.sed and seen through.

Since several seconds had already come and gone, and given the strength and mysterious powers of the Ascended Sovereigns, they should have long since acted. To Ascended beings of their level, a mortal second was enough to destroy several large-sized starfields or do many, many things.
