Lin Hui and the others took time off work to come so they had to get back to work. Lao Zhang and Zhang Huaxiu were alright. They had people helping look after their businesses, but they still couldn’t be away for too long so they, too, left with the others.

“I need to head back as well.” Shu Li closed her stationary for three days to come to Shu Yan’s wedding. Most importantly, Pingan stayed behind in City Nan and she worried.

“Okay. You hurry back. Niuniu can stay behind for a few days.” Niuniu was only in grade school, and it would be fine to be a few days behind in school.

Seeing the longing look in her daughter’s eyes, Shu Li stroked her head and said, “Alright then. Niuniu can stay for a few extra days and just come home with you.”

Pingan had wanted to come as well but, with his current health, it would be no joke if he got sick from travelling.

For safety’s sake, he stayed behind in City Nan. There would be opportunities for him to come after he had recovered.

Shu Yan and Feng Zeyu returned to the mansion after they saw their friends and families off. It was then when they saw Hu Ruixue coming downstairs with her suitcase.

“I’ve been here for almost a week. It’s not a good idea for us both to be gone. I’ll head back first. You two have fun and take your time.” Hu Ruixue blinked suggestively. “Would you like me to take the kids back with me?”

“No, it’s fine.” Shu Yan didn’t know whether to laugh or to cry. They had already been unhappy when she didn’t bring them on their last trip. If she was to ditch them again, they would be throwing fits.

Every day, the three children would go to the beach and play with the sand, catch crabs, and pick up seash.e.l.ls. They had a blast and also interrupted Shu Yan and Feng Zeyu. Li Miaomiao didn’t stay long with her current condition and took off, returning to City Xi after three days.

“Heading back so soon?” Shu Yan thought they would stay for a week or so.

“We’ve seen everything that we wanted to.” It wasn’t that fun to stay long.

Suddenly, there were just the five of them left. The three kids were still very happy. Shu Yan and Feng Zeyu spent the whole morning at the mansion and felt that days like this were very cozy. The ringing of their cellphone interrupted their peacefulness.

“The owner who’s selling their mansion nearby is back. Shall we go and take a look?”

“Sure.” Shu Yan nodded.

The tourist business hadn’t been developed yet, so, with the exception of the area that had the best view, all the other locations were relatively backward fis.h.i.+ng villages.

The mansion that Shu Yan and Feng Zeyu had looked at was quite close to the fis.h.i.+ng village. It was relatively inland but, as its elevation was higher, they would still be able to see the ocean from the master bedroom on the second floor, just wouldn’t be able to see the ocean from everywhere.

That and it was close to the messier and dirtier fis.h.i.+ng village.

Feng Zeyu took a look around, frowned a little, and said “Maybe we can keep looking for a little while longer?”

Shu Yan liked it though. The fis.h.i.+ng village would be gone in a few years when this area started to be developed and be replaced by a street full of snacks. With the ocean on one side and lively snack food street on the other, it had its own kind of appeal.

“Let’s buy it if it isn’t too expensive. I quite like it.”

It wasn’t too expensive. The entire mansion cost less than 200K yuan. Feng Zeyu bought the mansion, but he planned on buying another one if a better one was to come onto the market.

The kids needed to go back to school so they couldn’t stay there for too long. The two of them returned to City Nan with the three children in tow.

The first decision they had to make after returning to City Nan was where to live?

The Old Grandma was in her 80s and needed someone there to take care of her. At her age, falling at home would be no joke. That might be it if n.o.body found out soon enough.

Shu Yan thought about it some and decided to remodel her house there a little and moved there with her children.
