Chapter 1157: Chapter 142- Trinity – A G.o.d’s a.s.sistance Part 3 (VOLUME 6)

That whole conversation had only lasted a matter of seconds, but it had accomplished what it needed to. I had regained control of myself and was no longer in danger of letting my wolf, or any of my other animals, out to play.

I knew that I needed to have faith in Odin, and his ability to diffuse the situation. Still, I was a little on edge about everything that was happening. I didn't want to let myself admit that Orson was getting to me, or that I was worried that I might not be enough to stop him.

I would not have doubted myself if it were just me and Orson against each other. Even if it was just me against his entire army. I could hold my own and I wasn't afraid that he was going to hurt me. No, I was afraid for the humans, for Devon and his men, for Reece and my guards. I didn't want to see anyone get hurt, just like Odin had said. I wanted this to end peacefully, and soon.

I would make sure that the outcome that I wanted came to fruition. I would make sure that no one left here in an ambulance or a body bag. And that they all left here, no matter what happened. As the Luna Queen and G.o.ddess to my people, that was my solemn vow to the world and to myself.

This situation was getting to be a little out of hand. I knew that, but I couldn't end things here. I was just thankful that the men around me, my mate, the guards in my life, knew how to settle me down and keep me going. I was forever grateful to them for what they had just done. And I was happy that I had them to rely on.

I looked around me some more, at the rest of the people that were here. I saw Juniper, my best friend and pseudo sister. I saw my grandfather, Trevor, Aunt Glory, Athair mòr, Dad, my brothers, all the people that I had grown close to in my life, the ones that were always there and the ones that I chose to have there.

They were all important to me, and I knew that there was nothing else I would rather be doing right now than defending them all.

I looked past them to the others. To Devon and his group of officers. Devon, who used to be a human and chose to join us because he mated with Ella, who had always been a loyal friend and a trusted confidant. Then there was Rawlynne and Jackson, they came to help so long ago and never left.

And Jackson, like Devon, had chosen to be turned into a werewolf so that he could be like his mate, Melita, the bear from Trevor's pack. All of these people had chosen to join me and follow my cause. They never had to do that, they had chosen to do it because they wanted to. They gave me courage, power, and confidence because they were here for me.

The humans too. They were here because of me. The ones that supported me gave me a sense of pride and satisfaction because they knew that I was not going to hurt them, I didn't need to convince them. And the ones that had come here hating me were a source of inspiration to me as well.

I wanted to work harder to prove to them that I was not the monster that they thought that I was. I wanted to prove to them that I was one of the good guys. Then again, the topic of good guys was always subjective. It determined which side of the situation you were on. Even those fighting to help people could be considered bad if you weren't careful.

There was so much for me to fight for here. So many reasons that I needed to keep going and to not let those hateful words of Orson's get to me. And I was going to make sure that I fought for all of those reasons. To show them who and what I really was.

All of this, from the moment that Reece and the others started to encourage me until I had finally settled the last of the nerves and tension that were whirling around inside of me, it had only lasted a minute at most, but it was more time than what I had to spare at the moment.

I took a step toward Odin and Orson. It wasn't tentative or apprehensive in any way. It was filled with determination and confidence. Step after step, I walked closer to where the man and the G.o.d were staring at each other.

Odin was shaking his head from side to side. It was like he was trying to figure out if what Orson was saying was real or if he had just heard things. I knew why he was thinking that. The pure idiocy and delusion that this man was tangled in was just so hard to believe. I don't know how anyone is able to even delve that deep into the void.

"Look, here she comes. She needs to recharge her puppet. I can see that you are having trouble functioning now. Her magic must be wearing off." He scoffed and made several of the DOE members behind him laugh. They were so caught up in his delusion that they were able to laugh at a G.o.d like that. They only believed in Orson, because that was what he had brainwashed them to do.

He had corrupted them all so thoroughly. Then again, they had already been partially corrupted before, or they never would have joined him in the first place.

"I need no recharge." Odin's voice deepened as he snapped at Orson. "I am the King of the G.o.ds. I am the most powerful being in existence. And I will have respect from you, tiny mortal. I have put up with enough of your insolence. I am not going to stand for it anymore."

"I do not think he understands what he is doing, Odin." I said as I stepped next to the G.o.d. It was a little easier to be next to him right now, with him almost half the height that he had been.

"Look there. The witch b.i.t.c.h is talking to herself." Orson said with a laugh, prompting the other humans to laugh as well.

"You are pus.h.i.+ng your luck, tiny human."

"Stop calling me that, monster b.i.t.c.h!" Orson was focusing on me now. He was completely ignoring Odin and acting as if he wasn't there at all. "Just recharge your creation and make it so that you can try to intimidate us some more.

I will put up with your farce for a few moments longer." The glint in Orson's eyes told me that he truly believed what he was saying, no matter how often his views were s.h.i.+fting so that he could make them fit his insane ideals, he truly believed every single one of them.

"Orson, what will it take for you to put an end to this? What will it take for you to not sacrifice any of these people here?"

"Are you threatening us?" He seemed to bark the words out as if he was filled with righteous indignation. "Do you hear that? Members of the DOE and the rest of you as well, did you just hear her threaten to murder us all? She is truly an inhumane monster b.i.t.c.h. Listen to the way that she has just threatened to end all of us. Even you supporters, she is threatening you as well."

"I heard nothing like that!" One of the protestors had called out.

"Neither did I." Devon's firm voice filled the air.

"The only one threatening anyone here is you!" A supporter called out.

"SILENCE!" Orson screamed at them. "YOU ARE ALL OBVIOUSLY UNDER HER CONTROL! I BET THAT SHE HAS BRAINWASHED YOU ALL! YOU ARE ALL HER MINDLESS LITTLE SLAVE MINIONS NOW! EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU ARE A LOST CAUSE! FEAR NOT!

I WILL SAVE YOU ALL! YOUR SOULS AT LEAST! YOUR MINDS HAVE BEEN TOO THOROUGHLY CORRUPTED NOW, AND THE ONLY SOLUTION IS TO PUT AN END TO YOUR MISERY AND SUFFERING!"

"WHAT!?" Several of the spectators called out in horror.

"H..h..he is seriously going to try and kill us?"

"Save us, Queen Trinity. Please, save us all." This begging came from not just one but several of the anti super natural protestors

"SILENCE!" Orson screamed again. "I WILL PUT AN END TO ALL OF THIS!"

Things seemed to be moving in slow motion now. I was standing next to Odin, trying to put an end to this whole situation. Orson was beyond reasoning with as he threatened to kill all of these people. The man was just too dangerous, too far gone.

I knew that Odin had to understand that as well, that he had to be aware of the gravity of this whole situation. And I just hoped that he was going to help me stop Orson like I had asked. I still wanted this to be peaceful, at least as peaceful as possible.

Odin, being a G.o.d, might not understand that completely, but I wanted him to keep this from getting to the point where Orson had to be stopped permanently. That might be selfish of me, but it was what I wanted. And I adamantly refused to change my mind on that subject.
